Yes, it is as bad
as it looks and they are scuff marks on
the skirt just above the first ring slot.
The bore is fine
though, small mercy etc.

Decided
that the time required to set up
in the lathe, 4 jaw chuck and the
danger of doing something nasty
was just not worth it.
Took an
oilstone and a needle file to the
groove and I must say success
abounded.

With
thoughts of hot spots and
preignition buzing about my head
any high spots in the bowl were
mercylessly filed off
Put it
back in !
