Our main focus is on BL manga, otherwise known as "Boy's Love", or romantic stories between two males. These are known in Japan as Yaoi, or the milder ones, shounen-ai N.

We provide japanese/chinese-to-english translations. Right now, we do primarily BL manga, but we will also consider doing any other genres upon request. We take requests for scripts, and pride ourselves on accurate and fluent translations. We also pledge to take no more than a month for an entire toukouban translation, once the payment has been received. So, if you have bought manga, or obtained manga scans, but don't understand a word of what is going on, come to us!

And we're in no way affiliated to the official eigomanga company that does anime too - that's why we have been recently renamed to "otoko-to-otoko", ie. "Man-and-Man".

Clarification

Our scans-providing policy - we provide scans for one-shots in old(>2years), out-of-stock magazines; the latest(within 3 months) serialisations for those waiting for them to ship); and toukoubans(low quality ones & water-marked ones meant as a reference, NOT for reading purpose!).

Our translations are MEANT to ENCOURAGE you to buy the original works because you can now understand them, NOT REPLACE them.

We charge for our TRANSLATIONS, NOT SCANSLATIONS/SCANS.

We have to maintain a fee for our tranlations, because firstly, our translations are cheap and frankly, if we sell one copy per translation, we're wasting our time translating - working in MacDonalds would pay more. Here is the breakdown:

Average time per page - 5 minutes
Pages per hour - 12
Charge per page - $0.10
Income per hour - $1.20
Minimum federal pay - ~$5.00/hr
Copies to be sold per translation to actually be at the MINIMUM pay rate - 4

We're not even talking about tankoubans - 150 pages on average, and we charge only $6.00 per book. And these sell only 1-2 copies per volume.

Neither can we charge the first buyer at a rate where selling one copy is enough to make up the translating cost, then release it to the public for free - it's pretty unfair, and at a rate of $0.50/page and hence $10.00/20 paged one-shot, who in the world will buy them?

It should be clear that we're NOT making much of a profit out of this...

FAQ:

Q: Can your translations be used for scanlation purposes?
Ans: We are not a scanlation group. However, because of the fact that we ARE a translation service, we do take commissions for translations to be used for scanlations - please do drop us an email as the terms and prices varies. Also, if you want to translate our english scripts into other languages, please email us, and we're likely to work something out. But do send some donations at least, in return for all the effort and time put in to produce these scripts.

Q: Can we spread around the translations that we have purchased?
Ans: Please don't! We spend lots of time on these translations, so even though you can share these files, do us a favour and don't. Paying us motivates us to translate more!
