I will try to read my notes from our meeting and give you all an idea of up coming leather activities. We have fund raising events, service events and of course fun things planned.

       It has been great talking to people at the bars in town about the show last weekend. They are still talking about it. There is a desire out there to experience the leather world. Many of you have already, I am sure. All we need to do is break down that wall and show everyone that we are here and we are proud.

      Also, it is geat to see some of the guys showing up at the bar in various degrees of leather. I don't know if they are part of the group.....but the cause is definitely catching on.

      We should be seeing some other major statemGuys I am really sorry it has taken this long to post these. Time is kinda crunching in on me at the moment. Much like I was crunched in the corner of the bar last night. <EG> But I digress.

A meeting was held Fri. Feb. 8.

Present: Wolf28, Dagaz, Buster

Main objective: Set up a calendar of events for the year.

The following events are scheduled:

March 1: Group Meeting at Hide and Seeks 9:30pm

March 2: Black out Party/Strippers/Best Bonder contest at Hide and Seeks.

We will be running a coat check for this event.
Proceeds for the coat checks are to go for the
expenses of the group, ie. T-shirt costs, Advertising
of events, a reusable banner for the group.

March 16: Hide and Seeks Monthly Amateur Stripper
Contest (think it has a St. Patricks theme...OMG)
Coat check.

April 5 & 6: Leather Boy, Leather Sir contest at H&S.
Coat Check. AND COMPETE..PLEASE!!!

May 3: Group meeting at H&S (These will always lead
into a Leather night at the bar.

May 23-27: IML Chicago. We would like to go as a
group. Reservations need to be made ASAP. I know
Woof and Dagaz will have the web site info, etc.

June 7 Group Meeting at H&S and Leather night
(Oh...all meetins start at 9:30pm)

June 14: CAT Benefit. It is still a question as to
what we can do for this. Perhaps just go and show our
support.

June 29: Pride Fest. We want to have a booth there
and this is one of the events we would use our BIG
sign. We also want to make H&S the normal home for
the sign.
Note: I talked to Jim and he wants to hang the Bear
flag and the Leather flag along with the American flag
from the ceiling of the front bar. He has these
flags, as I understand and just has to get around to
cleaning them and getting them up.

July 5: Group Meeting/Leather night H&S

July 13: "Camp-It" weekend. Do you want to camp near
Saugatuck and cruise the woods naked looking for the
sling, St. Andrews Cross and I am sure flogging, knife
play and just good old fashion man to man fun. Well
let us know. ---Heck, I will go anywhere that I can
shed my clothes. Although I am not one for camping
and I understand there is motels in the area. Of
course then you have to dress. DAMN. Oh....there are
other leather men there besides our group. So new
faces, asses, etc. :)

August 2: Group Meeting/Leather night

August??-??: I just read the post on the Regional
group event...but I forgot the dates. Oops!!! Little
too much Jack and coke last night.

Sept. 6: Group Meeting/Leather night

Sept. 8: AIDS Walk. We want to have our own team as
well as help volunteering for help for the walk. We
would like this to be a very visible presence of the
Leather community. Please plan on helping and
participating.

Sept. 21?: Fall Bash at H&S. Jim going to plan
something. Coat Check

Oct. 4: Group Meeting/Leather Night--coat check (Coat
checks will be held at Leather nights and big events
at H&S during the colder months.

Oct...around Halloween: Event to help the AIDS Task
Force. The Civic is putting on Rocky Horror and will
be having some midnight shows. They need ushers for
this. And there will be a collection for the Task
Force and they have been asked to help with ushering.
We thought it might be fun and show community support
if we helped out. Think of the costume possibilities.

Nov. 1: Group Meeting/Leather night--coat check

Nov ??: Major Leather show....details TBA

Dec. 1: World AIDS Day. Events will be listed as they
are made know to us.

Dec. 6: Group Meeting/Leather night--coat check.

Dec. 31: OK...guess: Hide and Seeks New Year's Eve
Bash--coat check.We had some ideas for fun show events at Hide and Seeks. Such as a Weakest Link show with all the questions concerning Leather trivia. Losers get paddled as they leave. ETC.

One of the things we hope to do at our monthly meetings is to get everyone's input on what we can do to promote the leather community, support the gay community at large, and just events to have fun.

So PLEASE put on your leather jocks and cum up with some ideas. The group is evolving as we speak. I have yet to get clued into what our Pres. and VP found out in Indy this weekend. But from the post it sounds very exciting.

This is our chance guys to get out, be proud, and make something of our group. And my I add...our bar; Hide and Seeks. Jim is really behind us and we need to see that his bar is the center of the leather world here.
