Luna's Moonworld: http://www.angelfire.com/on/lunamoonworld/ Luna's Moonworld is a general Sailor Moon page that offers some interesting insights on the series. The site is your standard SM site, with a LOT of things for the viewer to do and look at and get involved with. On the good side, like I said, there IS a lot to do here. There are information sections which delve into possible mythological origins of the names of the characters, and there's even some information on plant uses because, well, who knows...perhaps Luna or one of the other cats may have eaten some. It's an interesting stretch, but it doesn manage to include a page with some interesting stuff. One other quick note: some of the border backgrounds are quite nice. There are a few negatives here. First off, the menu itself is just scrunched togetether inonerunonstreamsortalikethis. It's not actually THAT bad, but the little : the webmaster uses to seperate the topics really doesn't work, so perhaps a new menu would be nice. While the border backgrounds are nice, there are a few pages where the standard backgrounds are kinda icky. Perhaps I am being picky here, but something about that star-speckled background and the little animated rainbow lines just doesn't go well. (the Awards You Can Win page) Structurally the page is a bit weak. Most of them tend to be one long stream of content which can get tedious after a few pages... Alot of these negatives are balanced out by the positives. Sure the Awards page looks....off.... somehow, but that is easily fixed, and the content on the page is quite nice. The one thing I will jump on is mistakes in content, and I do so in the case of the "Sailormoon primer". I realize that the webmaster states right up front that the webpage isn't pretty, and actually, it's not the background that I find not pretty. It seems that what happens is the webmaster just writes and doesn't go back to proof her material. The biggest mistake that crops up in the first paragraph is the switching between "I" and "i". Please, if you are referring to yourself, it's "I". The webmaster's definition of anime: in japan, any animation, japanese or not. in north america, usually applied only to japanese animation. the preferable term to "japanimation", which any anime fan will be angered at hearing....... ....which means that no matter where you are in the world, "anime" refers to animated features which are Japanese in origin. Why not just say: "Anime are Japanese cartoons?" However, I myself use the term "Japanimation" if a person doesn't know what anime is Before you think I am nit-picking, this kind of carelessness gets the webmaster in trouble a bit later on in this page. Further down, when talking about Haruka, she says: "depending on where you get your info, Haruka is a hermaphrodite, a male who changes into a female at will, or a mannish woman. anyway, she rides a motorcycle and focussed on her mission. she is also a famous race-car driver. in episode #96 of SMS, Makoto has a crush on Haruka.". Now, the problem I have here is that the webmaster is not clear at all about the character, and because of this, she raises far more questions than she answers. If I were her, I would watch the later half of the series if she hasn't already, and I would make DISCREET inquiries on the Net. Walking into an open forum and asking, "Is Haruka a hermaphrodite?" will likely get someone flamed very quick. With a bit of reorganization and a structural "upgrade", Luna's Moonworld has the potential to become a really nice site. I hope that the webmaster continues to work on it. Artemis' Score: 6 The opening page of this site is interesting. Well-layed-out; yet she should shorten the page. Most people don't like to scroll down to see stuff. ^_^ The image gallery is very nice. The words shouldn't scroll over the picture, although. ^_^ Ahh... thumbnails. Very nice. I love the links page. You can choose A-B, etc... It's ... very pretty! I love it. ^_^ Originality shines through on this girl's page, and I would reccomend it to almost anyone. Although it needs some work, I say it's a lovely site. Luna's Score: 8 Diana is taking a short break and will review this page upon her return. ^_^ Diana's Score: N/A
