Sailor Moon Uncensored

This site may be misnamed a bit. You will not see VERY scantily-clad Sailors in various states of undress. What SMUn does is offer a comprehensive view of the Sailor Moon series in the guise of comparing the dub series in all its incarnations to the original series.

The site focuses on information and interaction with the viewers, so there is not much in the way of graphics. The graphics that are there are nicely done. The entire page loads quickly with no errors.

The information sections are VERY well-done, and when I finally got to the subject of the page, I was very impressed.

There are three episodes reviewed of the first season, none of R, all of S, and all of the SS season. EACH review is very detailed, with information on exactly what DIC, Cloverway, or Pioneer changed in the episode, even down to the number of seconds that the cuts altered the original by. There are also viewer comments about each reviewed episode.

This review may be short, but I have said what I can. You have to visit the site to get the full impact of it. It is an excellent resource for people new to the series, and for those who do research into this sort of thing.

Ah...I remember this page. A rather interesting source of information for either someone new to Sailor Moon or for someone who has been familiar with it for a long time.

The layout is simple, yet easy to navigate. The images look good and they load in a decent amount of time.

Intro - Just a little information about the site and what certain "signs" mean. Kind of like a site map. Good idea.

All the information is really interesting, and if I had more time (cursed finals...) I would read more of the stuff. Some of the mail in the Misc. section is rather humorous. This is one of the best information sites I have seen. As someone who was introduced to Sailor Moon by way of the dubbed, this site is really good at pointing out differences in the first two seasons, which I have yet to see in the original format.

Everything else seems to be working. I noticed a few grammatical errors, but nothing too serious. On a page like this, with its extensive info, it's to be expected. In closing, this site ranks high on the info charts and is presented nicely. Keep up the good work minna.

Like Artemis said, Sailor Moon Uncensored doesn't contain anything that the word "uncensored" (speaking in terms of nudity and such) would imply. In fact, one visitor to the site actually emailed one of the webmasters and told him he thought the name was misleading! (He was looking for pictures.)

The site is quite easy to navigate, and isn't big on graphics, which is fine with me. Simple layouts are good. ^-^ They are done by the site's webmistress (in case you're wondering, there's more than one person running the site - but only one of them's a girl), who is quite talented. Did you know those graphics were done using Paint?

Content-wise, there's quite a lot to offer. Besides the episode (and movie!) comparisons (talked about more in the next paragraph), they have an opinions section, editiorials, news on the latest happenings in the Sailormoon world (found in the Misc. section), DVD covers (also in the Misc. section), and a bunch of great links to boot.

Now, for more on the episode and movie comparisons. First of all, I would like to commend the guy that does this. Doing those comparisons must take a lot of time! All the comparisons are done incredibly well; you can tell a LOT of work went into them. They're so entertaining that once you've read all the comparisons they currently have up, you keep coming back for more.

To conclude, SMU is a great site with information that will appeal to any kind of Sailormoon fan. It is definitely worth your time to visit.
