Overall, I found the page to be new, as in I could find signs that this person is relatively new to HTML code. The code the site master uses is very simple, and this shows in the general layout of the page. While this is not a real problem per se, it shows that this person can, and hopefully will get more complex with their work in the future. On the upside (not that my above remarks were negative), the site contains some really nice resources, such as an extensive pic gallery and a pretty large link exchange group. Artemis' Score: 5
This first thing you'll note as you enter the page is that it says it is a pics page. The colors on the main page are decent, and the page layout is simple, but good. I don't believe I have seen many of those pics on the front page on the Net before. I think the banner was quite nicely done. There are some things that need a bit of work. I was a little turned-off by the mini-rant near the top of the page: "This page will basically be a picture gallery page. I don't have time to keep up the contest, and i can't have anymore people to adopt, ad ummmm the banner exchange well *drip* I ummm kinda forgot the password so I can't add anymore pages until i remember it (if i do)... " To me, it is not a good thing to make yourself look less competant than you are on a place where a lot of people are going to see it. Simply say: "These sections are temporarily down," and get on with the rest of the page. :) On a minor side note, the main page is a tad long. It's a small thing, I know, but some people strongly dislike having to scroll through a page... Also, a couple of the pics on the main page need to be fixed. Checking out the pics page, I see a lot of pics (over 120 in the entire collection), and the links seem to be in fine condition It's a really nice place to get Chibusa and Chibi-chibi pictures. The most glaring problem with the pics pages are the backgrounds. The first page has a chibi background, and the rest have a solid Pepto-Bismol-pink background...both of these backgrounds are way too LOUD to stare at for any length of time. If you plan on getting a large number of pics from this site, be prepared to fight off the evil Geocities popups each and every time you hit the BACK button. Luna's Score: 6
The Good News: The link exchange area is nice, the links area has quite a selection and she has a CHAT AREA! (*cheers*) The Bad News: Several of the more entertaining areas of the site are down, a few of the pics in the awards area are broken, and the load time is a bit long...but nothing that can't get better. :) Diana's Score: 5 Overall Score: 5.3 |
