Archen Sailor Moon:

This page is quite simplistic, and very easy to navigate. I like the small table along the bottom fourth of the page. When looking at the page code, I note that the site master uses java and tables. Despite this, the page maintains a down-to-earth appearance for those tired of sites which seem to specialize in "eye candy".

There are some problems with the site however. The most glaring problem here is the fact that the site master seems to have lost a lot of motivation for updating the page. While this is not uncommon...in fact, it seems to be a growing trend among even some of the elites, to put a reference to one's lack of interest directly on the page. It's one thing to have such a disinterest, it's quite another to advertise it. It is as if the site master is saying: "I don't care enough about the subject to do much more than update the site every so often..." I am sorry, but that is a major turn-off.

A few of the pics need fixing, and there is a hole in the site which dumps a user into a root directory, but the rest of the site seems structurally sound.

Overall, the site is nice. I don't see too many sites that have interviews, and even more rare: interviews with bad guys. "Hey Jedite," I'd ask. "How did you feel when you were slammed down by Queen Beryl?" I can see his response: "Very cold."

Hey everyone, this is my first week as a reviewer! (Artemis was role playing me before. ^_^)

This page is part of a whole network of anime pages made by Archen, and they're all so beautifully done. This page, at least the parts that weren't redone, due to the owner's lack of interest in the series, has not had quite the same effort put into presentation, but content is what I am to review and this page's content is great stuff.

Simplicity is great... this guy doesn't try to do it all, but what he does do, he does with humour and imagination. Each of these pages is amusing in some way, and that is the point. He's not trying to be comprehensive, enough pages already do that, but he succeeds in entertaining, so I'd have to say the content impresses me. Few other pages have this charm to them.

Do I have any nitpicks with this page? Well, it's sort of been left in ruins, and I'd love to see more of it, but... you can't have everything, and of course it's more fun to make webpages on things you'reinterested in. There are also numerous typos.

First Impressions:

Not to start the review off on a negative note, but I personally do not like the fading color intro. That has a special place on my internet pet peeve's list right next to never ending midis. True, some say it kills the load time, but I find it a pain when I want to use the back button and it immediately starts again. I think a site can be so much more effective without flashy intros anyway...just food for thought.

Very nice, simplistic layout. Great for two reasons: 1)Wonderfully quick load time and 2) Easy to navigate. The picture of sailormoon is something you don't see on every page so that gets a thumbs up from me!

The sentence structure has great flow and I don't see any glaring spelling errors. I like how he states up front that this is a dub page. Stops all the complaints about choosing to do a Dic-related page.

Might want to fix the broken image at the bottom.

Section 1: The Sailor Scouts - Oh dear...this takes me to a directory rather than an html page. I find that I don't have the patience to wade through directories so if I was a regular visitor, you just lost me on that page.

Section 2: The Negaverse - Great...getting some html action here. Same look as the first page. At least he is consistant. One spelling mistake: Beryl is misspelled. If you are going to do a Dic page, please do a little research into the spelling of the characters. Nice little write-ups about the villians all the way from Beryl to the Wiseman. He adds a little depth when he notes about the Zoicite he/she controversy, but other than that it is your basic paragraph on each baddie.

Section 3: Latest Interview with Jedite - Something unigue that you don't find on every page: Jedite sporting a "tacky maroon velvet suit from the 70's." Shows imagination and humor. Need to fix the broken image at the top and bottom of the page. Funny interview!

Section 4: My Interview Index - Good idea to index your old interview since they seem to be quite popular on your page. It's always great to find an original aspect on a sailormoon page. One minor complaint, the link color clashes with the picture. Finding a complimenting color would really work with the asthetic value of the page.

Section 5: Silver Crystal Sale! - This is definately my favorite page in this site! Who would have thought to do a crazy "infomercial" on selling silver crystals!?! I love the diagram at the bottom with the stick figures...*check out figure 3!* Only 19.95? You've sold me! Wonderful sense of humor! I love Mina sporting the free Nega-Cola t-shirt!

Section 6: Sailor Moon Image Images - Section not available.

Final Thoughts: Steve really has some great ideas on this page, but the errors really need correcting. I laughed, but this isn't a page I would keep coming back to...it needs more substance. I am saddened by the fact that it hasn't been updated Since August 98 as I think this page could be really great with a little improvement!
