The Temple of Holy Water:

I just visited this page not too long ago to add it as a link. I was quite impressed with it then, and I haven't changed my mind.

The Temple of Holy Water has a nice soft white atmosphere that just sort of wafts across your screen. The title page is very well-done, with excellent use of a kind of misty-thin looking picture technique and off-setting shadows.

This motif is carried almost without exception through the entire site. The pages are composed of light-colored, airy backgrounds and pictures and other graphics are sparsely interspersed among the text.

One rather nice thing, the site master refers to Ami as if she is standing right there, and it seems as though the Temple of Holy Water is an actual place. While this is not quite a new twist, it is one you don't see enough that it gets old, and in this case, the site master carries it off just right.

There are very few detractions from the site. Perhaps it was my terminal, but it seemed to have trouble with Javascript errors. I checked the source code, and could not find Javascripts on the pages, so I am assuming it is that evil menace to all mankind, the Geocities popups.

One minor word of advice: In the respects area, please drop the font size of the profile down a notch or two so you don't have to use the horizontal nav bar.

And finally, my own pet peeve, please rid the site of the "I am under renovation wording." This negative is actually a positive in a way. You simply have such a nice site that no one should know when it's being renovated. Simply make the improvements, then post them.

Overall, I believe this is the perfect site to come visit after you finish with a few of the louder and more gregarious sites. It's a real rest for the eyes, and it has its own simple beauty to it.

An Ami shrine, cool. Links were imaginatively named, which means that a) you get a surprise, b) it adds to the feel of the page's theme but c) you might end up anywhere. ^_^;

Information is verrry brief (a short, standard profile), but there are lots of cool *rare* images that I've not seen at most places. A good collection of cute animated pics of various Mercury scenes, and free buttons/backgrounds/Geocities logos. There are some nice ones.

It may surprise you, but my favourite section is the links page. Most pages, even on the really well recognised ones, don't put much effort into links, but this webmaster has written comments for all her links so you know what you're getting yourself into, and they aren't just little 'nice page' remarks either. ^_^

This page is little and cute, but it could really use more depth, a bit more creativity, etc. I like the page's personality... it's quite friendly. But it does need a bit more to it.

Beautifully simplistic layout...the colors work well together nicely to compliment the look. I love the opaque background as it doesn't hinder the text. The navigation bar at the bottom is definately a plus since it facilitates how the viewer will navigate the page. I like the fact that I know I'm not going to have to search around for links, but can always refer to the bottom of the page.

I notice that she is in the middle of renovation and I can definately empathize with the magnitude of that task. I like how she has named each section after a part of worship. The respects page is your typical stats page. I want to reiterate Artemis' suggestion in sizing down the font for when you update. I love the background on this page...I don't remember seeing that picture before. Some of the wording is a little odd, but looking at the email address I note that the author may not have English as a primary language. The author might want to have someone review her sentence structure to see if it reads well in the future.

The worship section is a picture gallery that will probably look quite different once the renovation is complete. The Super Deformed pictures are cute (I usually don't like SD, but these are ones you won't see everyday.) The animated gif at the top looks odd as it clashes with the background. Personally, I would remove the bar for one that doesn't clash with the rest of the page.

Evolution is a page for animated gifs...definately slow loading. The look of the page doesn't really click into place as it doesn't seem to match, but she might have a whole new look once she finishes her pages.

Blessings...cute title for an awards page. I would definately look into using a layout similar to ours if planning to use text on a tiled background.

Web graphics can be found in the Offeratory. I love it when people make graphics to give back to the Sailormoon community. Backgrounds are cute, but it would speed up load time if thumbnails were used.

The author has a links section in the Gateway to Heaven. Because of the graphics, this page is a SLOW loader. The background makes it hard to read the text. The author might want to speed up load time by eliminating the various graphics and use either text links with description or buttons. Most sites have buttons available now. Also, she might want to look into making the banner transparent.

I will be interested in seeing what the finished product of this site will be like. I think this site has shown promise and the layout of the main page denotes originality. I would just watch the use of tiled backgrounds with text, slow-loading images, and disjointed layouts. Beware of the fact that if you use a come.to style address, it is a frame setting. This means that all pages that are linked from the page will be trapped in frames. Also, if the server goes down (as it is wont to do), visitors cannot reach the page.
