Synopsis: The comic starts with a flashback of Batgirl when
she was a little girl being trained by Cain. Her amazing martial arts abilities
are demonstrated as she beats up a punk with the word MERC tattooed onto
his right arm. The flashback ends and you see Batgirl sparing with Oracle
in her apartment. Next, Barb creates a file for Batgirl in her computer.
Here, more of Batgirl’s past is explored, including another run-in with
the MERC guy. Back in real-time, Batgirl stops a thug from raping a woman,
with Batman’s help. The next day, Oracle speaks with Batgirl in the park,
but accidentally upsets her. That night, Batman pays Oracle a visit to
discuss Batgirl’s training, followed by some actual training. Near the
end, Batman and Batgirl stop a robbery involving the MERC guy. It’s a job
well done, and Batman gives Batgirl another lesson about being a hero.
Finally, we see Cain watching some old films he made of Batgirl.
