Not all the students chose to visit El Morro, and so the group was smaller than normal.

Those that did go had an enjoyable time for the hike was an easy, more relaxed one. Lisa, Dave, and Laura on the trail enclosed by the fall colors.

Most of the hike was on a flat trail, but to climb to the top of the mountain, stair were carved into the rock.

Towards the top we met a park ranger who explained to us some of the history behind the rock formations and the ruins at El Morro.

This is what most of the hike was like, a flat paved trail through the woods in the valley and up the side of the mountain.
