Read Romans 1:19,20; 2:14-16. The truth is that the heathen, according to the above mentioned Scriptures, know enough about God to be held responsible for their actions. God has revealed himself to them, both through the creation and through their conscience. The creation operates on a perfect level, maintaining and reproducing in perfect balance. This perfect creation necessitates a perfect Creator. Men throughout history have recognized this to be true. Only in urbanized, modern society where men are isolated from nature, has atheism become prevalent. Man can see by examining the creation that there Is a perfect Creator. Inside of every human being God has placed a conscience which encourages an individual when he does what is right, while causing negative feelings of guilt when something wrong is done. Though men differ in their concepts of right and wrong, all men have at sometime violated their conscience. This knowledge, that they are imperfect and God is perfect, is meant to drive them to the place of calling upon Him for forgiveness and thus receiving salvation. God promises to judge them fairly according to the degree of light or revelation they possess.
23. 'All religions lead to God.'
Read John 10:7-12; 14:6 & Acts 4:10-12. Jesus Christ declared that no man could come to the Father except
through Him. The Bible declares that there is no other name given by which men can be saved. Jesus even declared
that all those who came before Him (which would include the founders of all previous other religions) were thieves
and robbers.
