Spiritual Conversational Openers

"But when the Comforter is come, Whom I will send unto you from the Father, He shall testify of Me" (John 15: 26).

"For it is not you that speaks, but the Spirit of your Father speaking through you" (Matthew 10: 20).

Not once in the four Gospels is Jesus recorded as saying to a stranger right off the bat: "Repent or go to hell!" In

John 4 with the Samaritan woman, Jesus built a conversational bridge unto her world, starting with physical

water and then tying it into Living Water!

In almost every soul winning book, there is advice to start a conversation in the natural realm to establish a

relationship with the prospect, and then to cross over conversationally to the eternal, spiritual realm. Below are

25 cross-over questions to help make that transition.

1. Are you interested in spiritual things?

2. Have you ever thought about being a Christian?

3. What would you answer if someone were to ask you: "What is a Christian?"

4. Have you come to the place in your spiritual life where you know if you died tonight where you would spend

eternity?

5. If you died and God asked, "Why should I let you into heaven?" how would you answer?

6. Are you interested in some Eternal Good News?

7. Could you give me some directions? Could you tell me the way to heaven?

8. If I died right now, where would I spend eternity?

9. If you died right now, where would you go: heaven or hell?

10. Do you know where you'll be 100 years from tonight?

11. Have you ever met Jesus Christ personally?

12. Who do you belong to? Spiritually, that is?

13. If Jesus Christ returned tonight, would you be ready?

14. Do you know why Jesus died on that cross 2,000 years ago?

15. Wouldn't it be nice if you could know you're headed for heaven?

16. If God wanted you to know where you're going to spend eternity, would you be interested?

17. If you had a reserved seat in heaven with your name on it, would you be interested in making sure you go to

it?

18. How much of Howard Hughes' billions of dollars went with him?

19. Do you know which airline flies to heaven? It's United with...

20. Jesus said, "Unless a man is born again from above, he'll never enter into heaven." Can you say that's

happened to you?

21. Have you ever seen a real Christian?

22. Are you a follower of Jesus?

23. Do you think about eternity?

24. Have you ever wanted to feel close to God?

25. Where do you usually go to church around here?
