Food on Gor

Welcome to Kataii Deli

"The Wagon Peoples grow no food, nor do they have manufacturing as we know it. They are herders and it is said, killers. They eat nothing that has touched the dirt. They live on the meat and milk of the bosk."
Nomads of Gor

What follows is a list of the most common foods on Gor. As people from all kinds of Gorean places visit Kataii, most are available here. Those of Wagon Camps are encouraged, however, to follow the quote from Nomads of Gor.

Still, I'd like to make a few comments on the above quote. First, it is about eating, not drinking, so teas brewed of leaves, juices or drinks brewed with grains or hops are not included.

Next it says wagon people "live" on the meat and milk of the bosk. It does not say "They live exclusively on the meat and milk of the bosk.." So the sentence literally means that the meat and milk are the principle portions of the wagon people's diet, not necessarily the only portions.

Finally, it says wagon people "eat nothing that has touched the dirt." This means that wagon people should not eat roots, tubers or other foods that grow on or in the ground though foods that grow above ground do not touch dirt and are apparently acceptable. How strict or how liberal individuals wish to follow the quote above is up to personal preference.
