Foreign Talent or cheaper labour to save money?
My son graduated in Engrg and his group of classmates until today are still jobless. They have gone on numerous interviews to MINDEF and noticed many engineers from China employed there (cheaper than locals) because they are willing to start at Poly entry-level scale whereas he is not, nor his friends as they have spent 4 years in the University and are asked to start at Poly Diploma levels.
Is this how every Singaporean Counts? No wonder that the statistics recently published in the Straits Times show a 1% increase for S'pore citizens BUT a 10% increase for Permanent Residents over the last decade!
Foreigners are treated better than our citizens which is why our people are leaving and foreigners are flocking here.
The Ministers increase their own salaries but the common new graduate, having spent 4 years of sweat and exhorbitant 'subsidised' Uni Fees are asked to accept a lower starting scale - take it or leave it!
S stands for S'pore - S also stands for SHIT!
