"  New EWE Appointments. "

Further news on the EWE has just begun to break, with many of the other on-air talents being announced as well as confirmation of some off-air and administrative signings. The first big news confirms that Good Ole' JR, Jim Ross, has negotiated his release from the WWE and will be taking up a role with the EWE. Ross is being lined up as the play-by-play commentator for the company and will also fill the position of Head of Talent Relations, a job he once held within the WWE. Ross is believed to be interested in the classic, athletic nature of the EWE and was also said to be becoming disillusioned by the WWE's brand of 'sports-entertainment'.

Jim Ross's commentary partner is set to be another man leaving the WWE, Mike Bucci, better known as Simon Dean or Nova. Bucci also saw EWE as a new opportunity and felt that it was the place for him to impart some of his vast wrestling knowledge onto wrestling fans. He may also play a role in the set-up of an EWE development program and will carry out some youth training roles. It appears that having left the squared circle of the WWE Mike Bucci still aims to play a role in the industry, although don't worry he won't be trying to sell you any dietary programs.

The other on-air EWE personnel have also be named with some coming from TNA. The first of those is Jeremy Borash who will act as an interviewer alongside fellow former TNA interviewer Shane Douglas. Both men have different styles but they will no doubt ask the questions that EWE viewers want to hear answered... whether they get those answers or not is another matter. It is also believed that former WWWF and WCW ring announcer Gary Michael Capetta will act as ring announcer with David Penzer, another former WCW worker, also filling in at times. EWE's team of referees will be headed by former WCW refs Scott Dickinson and Billy Silverman and will also feature former WWE official Mike Sparks.

The EWE has also been quick to pick up a number of road agents to act as older, experienced wrestlers who can make sure that everything runs smoothly and give some of the younger guys a few tips or pointers in the ring. They have came both from the WWE and from men who were unattached. The head road agent will be Arn Anderson, who previously held the same role with WWE Raw, he is joined by the experienced Dean Malenko, who had been working as a road agent for both ECW and Smackdown. Working alongside them will be Barry Windham and Dustin Rhodes, two men who have chosen for the time being to stay out of the ring and concentrate on helping out those with less experience than themselves. The final road agent will be Bam Bam Bigelow who has fairly recently chosen to retire but is happy to stay involved with wrestling.
