Setting: February 22nd 2006, 1:30pm in Greensboro Coliseum, North Carolina

The camera picture fades up and we open with a sweeping shot of an empty wrestling arena, the seating and chairs are all set up as is the ring in the centre of the arena. However, it doesn't appear as if the arena is in use and there's no signs of activity. Suddenly the picture cuts to what appears to be the top of arena, in the very highest seating area. Seated there is none other than AWA superstar Gregory Helms, decked out in an expensive shirt and trousers as well as his usual beanie hat. Helms seems to be staring down at the ring below him, remaining transfixed despite the presence of the camera. Although, why exactly is Helms here in this arena... AWA's ' A New Generation' show is being held miles away in a totally different arena.

'REGULAR ANNOYANCE' AWA CAMERAMAN: ' You know that the show's down in L.A. this week... right?  '

Helms, who had previously been ignoring the camera, turns his head and simply rolls his eyes in the direction of the cameraman. He then turns right around to face the camera and begins to speak.

'SHINING WIZARD' GREGORY HELMS: ' You don't say... I mean do I look like the sort of the guy who turns up at the wrong arena? '

'REGULAR ANNOYANCE' AWA CAMERAMAN: ' Well then... what exactly are you doing here in some random, run of the mill arena? '

Gregory Helms simply sighs, he doesn't appear to be in the mood to explain himself but turns to the camera and begins to talk in an aggravated tone of voice.

'SHINING WIZARD' GREGORY HELMS: ' You think this is some random, run of the mill arena, huh? Just your plain, ordinary arena... nothing special about it. Well maybe to you that is the case, but to me this is just about the best damn wrestling arena in the country. See, this is my hometown arena... I'm a North Carolina boy from just up the road and this places means a lot to me... to me this is far more than your ordinary, run of the mill arena. I've sat in these seats many times before and over the years I've seen some of the finest wrestlers to ever grace the ring. But I've not only been a spectator here... I've had the honour to walk out into this arena and stand in that very ring. And it truly is an honour and a privilege to step out from the curtain to be greeted by the fans of Greensboro, North Carolina. I mean there are very few places in this country where the people recognise my talents, but this is one of them. In this very arena they've chanted my name and shown the rest of the world how you treat an athlete like myself. They can tell that I am the World's Greatest Cruiserweight... so it's obvious that the people here actually have a hint of intelligence... quite a rarity in today's America. I can't help but think that if only the rest of the population shared the intelligence of North Carolina... then I really might get some more fitting treatment. '

Helms is now fully concentrated and pauses only briefly before continuing his ranting.

'SHINING WIZARD' GREGORY HELMS: ' You know I should point out that this arena isn't just a special place for me... it's special to many great wrestlers. There are men who's careers have been built upon victories here... and equally there are men who's careers have been ended in this very arena. Some men's careers truly have been shaped in that very ring... none more so than my opponent this week at 'A New Generation'... Ric Flair. The Nature Boy himself knows just how important Greensboro Coliseum can be, after all he's a fellow North Carolinian... he respect's this arena and respect's the people that fill it, as he should do. But of course this isn't just Flair's hometown arena... it's the arena that has seen some of his greatest performances and seen some of his finest victories. I mean I've sat in this very building and watched Ric Flair win World titles. '

As he pauses once more Helms looks down on the ring as if he were imagining back to some of Flair's many memorable performances.

'SHINING WIZARD' GREGORY HELMS: ' I was only a young spectator but I can remember those days when Flair was on top of the wrestling world... he was untouchable. But, times change... and Ric Flair has only too obviously changed. As I sit here I can't help but wonder how would the good people of North Carolina react if Ric Flair was in that ring today. Personally I don't think they'd react like they once did... instead of cheering for Flair and instead of chanting his name I think there would only be silence. People would look down on some old man who they hardly recognised... at best they'd feel sorry for him, they'd see him as a pitiful figure. You see Ric Flair continues to go on stepping in the ring and all he's doing is embarrassing himself and saddening fans across the country. If Ric Flair refuses to hang his boots up then I'm afraid he might do serious damage to what was once a fine reputation... at the moment he's tarnishing and damn near destroying everything that he ever worked for in this business. '

Gregory Helms hangs his head, obviously he is quite genuine in his words, he honestly believes Flair should no longer be lacing up his boots.

'SHINING WIZARD' GREGORY HELMS: ' Now I don't mean to be spiteful towards Ric Flair... I'm only looking out for his best interests. I mean I came to this very arena to watch Flair... and I loved to see the Dirtiest Player in the Game hit a low blow here and eye poke there... but there's no way that I'd want to watch Flair stumble around the ring today. Still, there was a time when I admired Ric Flair... as a young wrestler I would have given anything to be able to just match his abilities. When I went through my training that's exactly what I told people... I want to be as good as Ric Flair. Of course at the time I was laughed off and people told me I'd have to put on 50 pounds or grow six inches before I thought about comparing myself to the Nature Boy. Well those same people better be watching on Monday night when I not only match up to but defeat Ric Flair. To some I know it may just look like a case of how the mighty have fallen... but I hope a few people take notice of exactly who it is that humiliates the once great Ric Flair. I'll be happy if just one or two of the folks at home notice that it was the smaller man, the lighter man who gained the victory. You see this could be the perfect opportunity for Gregory Helms to prove that not all cruiserweights are bottom of the card pushovers, some of us have that extra desire and passion. I'm fighting a battle to prove that lightweight guys can go all the way, we don't need to be held back anymore... we deserve our chance to shine.'

Helms is becoming noticeably more passionate and he gets to his feet as the camera zooms in close on his face.

'SHINING WIZARD' GREGORY HELMS: ' This week shows is all too fittingly titled, 'cause this Monday we will see the demise of the old timers like Ric Flair and instead we will see the rise of the new talent in the AWA... it'll be the rise of 'A New Generation'. Now I have a few other issues to sort out at the show this week and they mainly revolve around a certain Johnny Nitro but my problems with him can wait because I'm staying focused and putting all my effort into humbling Ric Flair. It really will say something when arguably the greatest Heavyweight wrestler of all time is beaten by the World's Greatest Cruiserweight... Gregory Helms. That should be proof enough that I am far more than your average cruiserweight. '

The camera picture slowly begins to fade out as Gregory Helms strides out of the show, no doubt now headed for L.A. and his clash with Ric Flair.
