" Calling 'Time' on your career Austin."

Roleplay #: Seven [7] - Record: 03 - 01 - 01 - Next Match: [vs] Steve Austin.
Breakdown: Loaded Gun Tournament, Singles Qualifier.

All Pro-Wrestling's first Pay-Per-View Steel Punishment was a huge success with Rob Van Dam retaining his World Title despite suffering a cruel  beat down as the match ended. Van Dam and Orton's match along with Cage Chaos may have stolen the show at Steel Punishment but there were some other phenomenal matches too with Rhyno and Raven wining the TV and Hardcore titles respectively. And let's not forget the memorable TLC Tag-Team titles match that saw Mike Sanders and Mark Jindrak, the Natural Born Thrillers walk away as the new champions. Mike Sanders now returns to singles action on Breakdown facing Steve Austin for a lucrative pale in the Loaded Gun Tournament.

The scene opens with a wide, aerial shot of the city of Birmingham. The camera looks over the city's skyline with many large buildings and landmarks standing out against what is a dull and grey sky, exactly the weather you stereotype with Britain. The camera shot then cuts to show light rain falling against a small window, which itself gives a clear shot of the city. As the camera zooms out we see the figure of Mike Sanders leaning against the window in what is an average hotel suite, possibly not the above average setting Sanders is used to and certainly not deserving of an APW Tag-Team champion. Sanders leans back from the window, the camera then picks up on the Tag-Team championship belt draped over his shoulder as Mike, sighing slightly, stares around his room.

'ABOVE AVERAGE' Mike Sanders: " A simple money-making exercise for the APW... take the action to the UK They're all so desperate to get that rare glimpse of superstars like myself that Mr. McMahon knows he'll sell out shows anywhere in this pitiful country. Yet, while he's raking in the cash I've got to put up with staying in way below average accommodation where all I can do to pass the time is to stare out the window at the constant rain. You'd think that as the new APW Tag-Team Champion I'd at least be treated to the odd luxury, after all me and Jindrak went through tables, ladders and chairs to earn the titles, if that doesn't earn you a little respect around here I don't know what does. "

Suddenly, the door to Mike's hotel room swings open and in strides a pleased looking Mark Jindrak. Mark has a wide grin on his face and his newly won APW Tag-Team Championship belt strapped around his waist.

'NATURAL BORN THRILLER' Mark Jindrak: " Hey, Mike... these Tag-Team titles shine up good pretty good don't they. "

'ABOVE AVERAGE' Mike Sanders: " You know it's considered rude to just burst into someone's room without knocking, but you're right, the belts are looking great. I mean we've got our names on them now and I think all trace of the Bashams has gone... I really wasn't sure what condition they'd have left the belts in.  "

'NATURAL BORN THRILLER' Mark Jindrak: " Well I heard the Bashams are back to just being JBL's glorified bodyguards, they got booted off the roster along with MNM and Benjamin and Haas... so we don't need to worry about any of them getting there hands on our titles. I'm telling you I think we can get comfortable, we're practically the only real tag-team left in the APW. "

'ABOVE AVERAGE' Mike Sanders: " We can get comfortable alright but, there's a little competition to send packing yet. I'm talking about the New Age Outlaws and the Outsiders, we can send them packing from the APW straight into a nursing home... that's when everything will be done and dusted. Then you can lie back as half of the Tag-Team champions Jindrak, but that's not where things are going to end for Mike Sanders. There's no way I'm content to just take things easy, I've got a singles career to think about as well. "

Mark Jindrak looks ready to but in with something to say but Mike quickly cuts him off.

'ABOVE AVERAGE' Mike Sanders: " I've admitted that my singles career may have stalled when I didn't win the Royal Rumble or qualify for Cage Chaos but, I've already got a great singles opportunity just around the corner... the Loaded Gun tournament. Everybody knows that the guy who wins the Loaded Gun tournament is the one to watch, he's the guy who's going to be on the rise and going to be getting title shots... and this year I've got a pretty good feeling that guy is going to be Mike Sanders. The field might have a couple of big names in it  but none of them are quite as above average as myself... now I know to some people that may sound like an empty threat, although I'm planning on changing there minds pretty quickly. On Thursday night at Breakdown the APW will see my full potential as a singles competitor, when I progress in the Loaded Gun tournament and walk all over Stone Cold Steve Austin himself. "

Mike Sanders chuckles at Jindrak's statement before then readjusts his title, raising it to sit slightly higher up his shoulder and beginning to speak again.

'ABOVE AVERAGE' Mike Sanders: " You know I heard a couple of guys saying it's a tough draw... Haha, thankfully it's by no means a tough draw, after all this isn't the late nineties. In today's world Steve Austin is all but finished in wrestling. The man has gone pretty rapidly downhill over the last few years... but he seems to have been happy to let himself go. The man thought he'd drink beer all day and sit around on his ass like the typical Texan, now suprise suprise, he's nothing like the wrestler he once was. In fact, I almost feel a little bit of pity towards the guy, he's thrown away his own career... unfortunately for him I won't be showing any pity inside the ring. I've got a point to prove and as much as I'd love a quick, easy match I'm going out on Thursday night to destroy Steve Austin and to show everybody in the APW that whether it's as part of a tag-team or on my own I'm not to be taken lightly. "

He then struts over to the window, taking a brief glance outside at still horrible weather, and then swivels round to resume speaking.

'ABOVE AVERAGE' Mike Sanders: " Now I know that we might be stuck in this god-forsaken country for a week or two and I'm not exactly comfortable with that, but that's just going to make it relief to finally get into the ring. Inside the ring I'm going to make Austin look every bit the old man when I whip around at Breakdown, it'll be the most fun I have in this country. Then Austin can stumble away and drink a few cold ones, well he might need something a bit stronger... seeing as he'll want to forget all about Thursday night's Breakdown.... I'm not sure if I want to let him forget it though. I'll try and leave a permanent reminder like say a couple of broken ribs... I know he's already aiming to sort out that liver of his by drinking everything he can get his hands on but there should be plenty left for me to rip apart. Now as much as I might have a little pity for Austin at the moment after Thursday night everyone will feel sorry for the guy, he'll  be humiliated and only left to be seen as a crazy old drunk... the laughing stock of the APW. Yes, Austin I'll be calling time on your career at Breakdown, so finish up that last drink of yours and prepare for Breakdown cause I'm the one who's going on to win the Loaded Gun tournament and your just going to be... "

'ABOVE AVERAGE' Mike Sanders: " And you know what that means... Haha. "

Fade to static.
