Background
Info
Nú Beatha Warren is a fairly militaristic warren, reflecting the environment in
which the inhabitants have had to survive. It was created when Inléhain abandoned his old warren, leaving the animals who had followed him without a leader.
Nú Beatha Warren is named so because "Nú Beatha" is gaelic for rebirth. This warren is almost the same as the previous warren only better in some aspects(updating).
For the time being, Nú Beatha Warren is nearly to the point of being at war with Nepenthes/any other warren we come across [;)] Every one wishes to see the dispised Caliber-rah of Nepenthes be sent to the Black Rabbit of Inle. However, at the moment, Nu Beatha is allied with another warren called Marli-rah, run by Fireptch-rah, and the wolves of Nu Beatha have left to start their own pack.
The
Daily Routines of the Nu Beathans
Civilians, believe it or not, have duties to perform too. They are to be marched everyday, and trained, by at least three rabbits of high authority. They must obey the higher ranking officers, and if disobey, the higher ranking officers can either decide the punishment, or report to the council, and let them decide. Once as Ni-Frith comes, they are allowed to silflay, but then must report back to their burrows. They can only come out once to vair.
The rah will hold council meetings at least twice every week to discuss issues. If a member of the council is late (this does not include the rah or marli-rah) without any excuse from the rah, then the rah will decide for the punishment. Other days, the rah will patrol the warren’s boundaries, but one of his aides must be accompanying him at all times..

Starting fresh in the morning, captains, officers and civilians are to report to their duties. They must never be late (if not accounted for that particular morning, and if not excused from their duties by the rah or someone in high authority, council will decide punishment). They must carry on with their appropriate duties til Ni-Frith (noon). Once as the first part of the morning is complete, the Nu Beathans will have short silflay, vair if needed, and then report back to their appropriate duties. No exceptions. They will continue performing their duties til Inlé (when the moon has risen), and then the rabbits are allowed for some free time, but must report back to their burrows when Inlé is high.
If you are lucky enough to be initiated into the owsla of Nú Beatha Warren, then
that means that you have all the skills necessary to defeat any ordinary foe while surviving out on patrol. There are different sections
of the owsla, and I’ll
create new sections as needed. Our warren also boasts a river patrol, a forest patrol and a wide patrol. There is one definite requirement in common for all. Getting
into the patrols means that you have to be able to fight. Well. The unskilled fall prey to elil leaving the best to form our fighting units. If you are not a good fighter,
you can pretty much guarantee that you will not get accepted(Deaths are sad for us. Just because we fight doesn't mean we don't have emotions).
The Council is made up of the leaders(and a few aides) of the three main animal groups in the warren — Rabbits, Otters/water creatures and Elil(wolves, foxes, cats and so on).
If you are in the Council, you help make the most important decisions of the warren. The council is the warren and military leaders will never act unless he has the approval of the Council for larger matters(war, treaties, new recruits and the like), but he/she will handle basic day to day affairs.
The Council is greatly looked upon, and most everyone in the warren gives them respect. Council Meetings are held whenever needed, but they will always be previously announced, so as to get as many of the council members as possible
present.
Mating is an interesting issue. A buck and a doe find each other, fall in
love, and wish to be mated. They should send the buck to go talk to the rah or the Council representative for his species,
and ask permission. If the Leader has his eyes on the doe that is being requested
to be mated, chances are, he might deny your request(don't worry, our eyes tend not to stray). But he’ll
give you a fair chance and fight for the rights of the doe. Of course, in the
end the doe has final say —
as always, but there's always some sort of mating rituals to be had. Note: Occasionally,
prearranged mating will be had (if both parts agree), simply to make the best,
strongest, healthiest, fastest rabbits possible.
The issue of having kittens is rather broad. Once you mate (after permission
from the Rah or Council rep.) you can chose to have kittens. Of course, you must discuss the
issue with the Rah or Rep first. If he thinks that it is not a good time for kittens
in the warren, he will deny your request — but most likely, without any
problems, the Rep will give you his blessing. And if he doesn't, you can guarantee
that it's for a good reason(note: abuse of power will be punished with many thwackings and general badness).
