The Semi Gods and Demi Devils

This was a series that was based on Kim Dung's (Jin Yong) novel. Kim Dung used to own a newspaper. (I believe it was Ming Pao.) To attract readers, he would write a story on each issue of his newspaper. At the time, his story was Thien Long Bat Bo. When Kim Dung wrote this, he intended to write about 8 heroes, hence the title, Tin Lung Bat Bo (Thien Long Bat Bo). However, there was a time when he was sick. Thus, a ghostwriter had to fill in for Kim Dung and continue on with the story of Thien Long Bat Bo. This ghostwrite made many changes to the story. One of the changes was Ah Chi. He didn't like her character so he made her blind. When Kim Dung came back, there were so many changes, that he couldn't fix it. So he ended up focusing on 3 heroes, rather than 8. He did change Ah Chi's vision status and gave back her eyesite.

Cecelia did a great job in portraying two different roles. She played the roles of Chung Ling and Ah Chau. These two are totally different characters; one is playful and naive and the other is serious and intelligent. According to the novel, Chung Linh and Ah Chau are not suppose to look alike, even though they are half-sisters (they both have the same father). In fact, Ah Chau is not suppose to be pretty. However, TVB expanded the roles of Chung Ling and Ah Chau for Cecelia. Cecelia really demonstrated her acting versatility in this series. She was really beautiful in all of her costumes.
