The Flying Fox of the Snowy Mountains

This was another series based on the novel by Kim Dung (Jin Yong, Louis Cha). Kim Dung wrote two novels about the Flying Fox. One was called Tuyet Son Phi Ho and the other one was called Tuyet Son Phi Ho Ngoai Truyen (Young Flying Fox). JY has first wrote Flying Fox, then when he saw the popularity of Flying Fox, he decided to write Young Flying Fox, just to complete Flying Fox. TVb decided to combine these two novels into one tv series.

In Flying Fox, Wu Fei was 27 years old and living in the snowy moutain with his uncle. It was only in the snowy mountains that he really meet Mieu nhouc Lan (she was 17 years old at the time). He knows that her father is involved in is father's death. In Flying Fox, we learn on the real death of Wu Fei's parents and there's those bad guys who come to find the treasor. In Young Flying Fox, it is more about when Wu Fei in his 10's and early 20's... it's what happened before he becomes Flying Fox and goes to live in the Snowy moutains.

I find that this novel was very interesting. Actually, I never read the novel, but I did heard about some parts of the novel from fans of Kim Dung. What I find fascinating about the novel was how Kim Dung ended the novel. With his creativity, he decided to end the novel with a battle between Mieu Van Phung and Ho Phi (Wu Fei). Of course, one of them has to die. He left it to us, the readers, to decide the conclusion of the battle; the ending of the novel.

This was Margie's very first series. She was really cute in here. Since she was fairly new, she didn't appear in many scenes. Anyhow, i think every actor and actress did a great job, especially Jamie Thich My Tran and Tran Tu Chau. This series was my first time seeing these two people. I was really impressed with their acting. Kenneth Tsang Kong and Tse Yin (Tang Giang and Ta Hien, respectively) also played their roles as Dien Nguyen Ong and Mieu Van Phung very well too.

Thanks to Nath for giving me the brief description of Kim Dung's Tuyet Son Phi Ho novel.
