Ingredients:
9 large potatoes
1/2 pound cream cheese
1 cup sour cream
2 teaspoons onion salt
1 teaspoon salt
1/4 teaspoon ground black pepper
2 tablespoons butter
Directions:
1. Preheat oven to 350 degrees F (175 degrees C). Grease one 2 quart casserole
dish and set aside.
2. Bring a pot of salted water to a boil. Add potatoes; cook until tender but
still firm. Drain, and transfer to a large mixing bowl; mash until smooth.
3. Add cream cheese, sour cream, onion salt, salt, pepper and butter; beat until
light and fluffy.
4. Place into prepared casserole dish and dot with butter.
5. Bake at 350 degrees F (175 degrees C) for 30 minutes or until heated through.
I got this recipe from a friend at church who said she did some substituting and it worked rather well. She used onion powder in place of the onion salt and used red potatoes with the skins on, boiling them whole then mashing. She only made half the recipe and said they were yummy!
