2000-2001 Highlights

In September, we worked on our chapter scrapbook at a Creative Memories party.

In October, we met at Tinseltown in The Woodlands for our first Chich Flick Night. We all enjoyed Meet the Parents!

In November, we celebrated Founders' Day at Strack Farms Restaurant and had a wonderful dinner. Mary Martha Stinnett from the Alzheimer's Association Houston and Southeast Texas Chapter was our guest. She was overwhelmed when we presented her with a BIG check for over $5000 - our proceeds from the 2000 Shell Houston Open and Birdies for Charity.

In December, we kicked off the holiday season with shopping and lunch in Old Town Spring. Of course, December is not complete without our annual ornament exchange!

In January, Diane Newberry held a hands on class at her offices in The Woodlands. We all learned something new about the internet.

In February, we met to make picture frames for our wonderful Beta Epsilon collegians. We had a great time leaning Stampin' Up techniques.

Here are some samples we looked at before deciding on the picture frames.

In February, we enjoyed the opening night's performance of the Houston Livestock Show and Rodeo.

In February, several of us traveled to Wichita Falls Tx for the South Central Regional Conference. And, yes, there really is a falls! What a great opportunity to share our sisterhood with other collegians and alumnae from Texas, Oklahoma, and Louisiana. Hosted by the Wichita Falls Alumnae chapter, it was a special weekend.

Following the Saturday night banquet, a new chapter installation ceremony was conducted for the Monroe/Ruston Area Alumnae Chapter. Pictured are Jeani Henges, incoming A/CRC, Holly Ruth, organizer, Carole Townsend, AMC, and Patti Massey, outgoing A/CRC.

In March, Deborah Bronner and Janene Evans were our models at the NorthWest Panhellenic fashion show at their annual scholarship luncheon.

In March, amid some bad weather, many of learned the art of Feng Shui.

In April, We had a Southern Living party and saw some lovely merchandise. We also elected officers for the 2001-2003 biennium.

In April, we also participated for the third year in the Shell Houston Open. Our booth was on the 18th fairway, a PRIME location. Everything went extremely smoothly this year!

Can you tell by looking at these happy faces, how much fun we had???

In May, we met at Sghettes Restaurant for a great Italian dinner as we completed another successful year!

In July, family, friends, and the Southeast Texas/Golden Triangle Alumnae Chapter joined us at an Astros game at beautiful new Enron Field for a game against the San Diego Padres. Well, we lost, but we all went home with a great Astros tote bag.

In August, we had a great time bowling at Diamond Lanes.
