Pause the game and input Up, Up, Down, Down, L, R, L, R, B, A to arm your ship with full weapons and shields.
BEWARE: Up, Up, Down, Down, Left, Right, Left, Right, B, A will give you the same effect - and cause your ship to self-destruct.
