The Blonde Phantom

Name: Louise Grant -- Mason (married name)

Alias: The Blonde Phantom

First appearance: All Select Comics #1.

Occupation: A secretary for the Mark Mason detective agency, when she wasn't crime fighting.

Powers: Louise has the power to break the 'Fourth Wall' and interact with her readers. Other than that, she had no super-powers other than being athletic and capable of fighting crime wearing a long red evening dress and high heels (which *should* count as a super-power, in my mind ;)

Friends: Mark Mason (husband) She-Hulk, Father Time (aka the Grim Reaper, who's job was to select the people to die. Her rather blase attitude towards him was surprising, to say the least).

Enemies: Oh, all kinds of people, from muggers to bank robbers to killer models.  Notables include: Carlo the Killer, Baron Frankenstein, and Stillface, the man with a face made of plaster!

Favorite storyline: I liked her reappearance in She-Hulk's second title as an old lady who had finally married Mark Mason (who only had eyes for Blonde Phantom, not Louise) and had an adult daughter. At the end of the series she was rejunevated to her original age. And her solo book was a campy detective series with a strong female lead, something rare back then (and, sadly, still rare today).

Least favorite storyline: How in Hades *did* she manage to fight crime all those years wearing a long red gown?!?

Where can she be seen?: Louise had her own solo series back in the Golden Age; she also had a guest starring role in She-Hulk's second book.

Blonde Phantom links: Sorry, I haven't found any :(
