This is my first Once A Thief fanfic. Well, the intro of it anyway. I won't be posting the rest of it until I actually have it finished. I suck at writing. But enjoy what you can!

Mac sifted through a magazine as he sat in first class luxury of an Air Canada 747. Next to him, by the window, was Vic fidgeting with his seatbelt nervously and trying to ignore the engine sounds.

"I don't think that seatbelt's gonna get any tighter, Vic," Mac said without turning his attention from his magazine.

"Shut up…" Vic replied and continued to fuss around. Mac chuckled and flipped a page.

"That reminds me," he said to Vic, "You haven't told me why you weren't on the plane with us from Vancouver. The Director said you had something to do before leaving. How'd you get here then?"

"… Car…" Vic said quietly.

"You're telling me that you drove all the way from Vancouver just to avoid flying?" Mac said surprised. "Well, you shouldn't fear flying that much. A good thing about it is that it's safer than driving… But then you never know when turbulence could rip the roof of the plane right off... Or when aliens could come and suck you out." Vic just continued to tighten and loosen his seatbelt. A few seconds later, his face became pale and he quickly covered his mouth with his hand.

"Oh, come on!!" Mac yelled and quickly got out of his seat as Vic unbuckled and rushed to the bathroom. "We haven't even taken off yet!!" he shouted to Vic as he ran to the bathroom. Mac took his seat again and looked at the people staring at him but ignored them and continued to catch up on his reading.

"Don't tease him so much," Li Ann told him as she turned from her seat in front of Mac. Mac just chuckled again.

"He can handle it. After all, he's been in worse situations than eating eggs and beans for breakfast," Mac replied.

"Let me just remind you that this mission is quite important. Don't let your jokes get out of hand..." the Director added in quietly from her seat next to Li Ann. Mac imitated her seriousness but got a "wondering-how-she-saw-that" face when the Director replied with an "I saw that." Vic soon returned.

"Heeey, Vic! Feelin' better?" Mac said and slapped him on the back. Vic almost became sick again. "Whoa!" Mac cried out and shielded himself with his magazine. He peeked over the magazine to see Vic was looking outside the window again.

"You are so childish, Mac," Li Ann said.

"There's gotta be a clown somewhere and Vic isn't very funny," he replied. Li Ann turned away from him.

"So what's this mission about anyway?" Li Ann questioned the Director. The other two agents leaned forward to listen.

"I shall tell you three after we get ourselves back to headquarters. Right now is not a good time with so many people around," she cautiously told them. The three agents sat back again and pondered about it as a flight attendant came onto the PA.

"Welcome to Flight 107 from Toronto to Vancouver. The flight will be about four hours long. Please fold your trays back up, put your seats in their upright position, and have your seat belts on," the attendant instructed as others started coming by to checking that these orders were followed out.

The captain came on soon after saying that the weather in Vancouver was lovely right now but would become cloudy and even have a chance of rain when they land. Mac groaned.

"If I were in Hong Kong, there wouldn't be much rain, I tell you!" he growled.

"And what, exactly is so bad about rain?" Vic managed to reply.

"Nothing except that it's wet!!" he blurted and resumed his reading. Vic started to reply again but a silent burp came out and he took in deep breaths instead.

After the rest of the captain's instructions about seatbelts and emergency directions, the plane warmed up and took off the runway. Mac continued his reading while Vic closed his eyes and breathed deeply.

When the plane reached regular altitudes, the flight attendants started to hand out bagged peanuts and drinks.

"What would you like to drink, sir?" a stewardess asked Mac.

"Hmm… maybe tomato juice, or do you have any of that pink health stuff…" Mac said loudly then turned to Vic who glared at him again, but with a sick look on his face. Mac chuckled then became serious as he turned to the stewardess who gave a confused look. (Vic looking out window again.)

"You're friend doesn't look too well. If he feels sick, the paper bag's right in that pouch," the stewardess pointed out.

"Oh, he'll be okay," Mac joked. He turned to Vic again. "Won't you, Vic?" he chuckled and then lightly slapped Vic in the stomach.

[The screen flashes to Li Ann and the Director enjoying their peanuts and drinks]

The next thing everyone heard was retching.

"AW JEEZ!!! - THAT'S JUST GROSS!!!" Mac cried out as people turned to look at the fuss. Li Ann and the Director calmly ignored it.

("ACTION!")
