Ultimate Challenge

Survive we will
in today's unfriendly times
able to face foes in wars past
now unfamiliar faces of today

Everyday a challenge
everyday a battle
now provoked
by invading predators

A goal to destroy freedom
to deface our American way
a goal impossible to attain
repeatedly tried again and again

We pay with a loss of innocents
for befriending those disguised
we grieve their families grief
feel their torture and pain

Unknown to our enemies
we become stronger
sharing each others wisdom
becoming a powerful strength

stalking now, those who stalked us
eliminating their existence
unable to escape our defenders
forward steps rumble their ground

As countries unite together
becoming a more powerful force
it is now our enemies
who have the Ultimate Challenge
