KIM'S PAGE
Interests:Kim has many interests. They range from outdoor activities to hanging around her many life-long friends. She enjoys reading, music, movies, and loves wine. She has particular interest in animals, especially baby ones. A trip to a pet store is always rewarding for Kim. Those who know Kim, know that she loves to talk, on the phone especially. This has proven to be very helpful as my family is all in Nova Scotia, and have only met her once. Phone calls from home rarely last less than an hour. Everything to Kim is her favorite, or the best ever. She is know exagerate, and blow things out of proportion from time to time. Some of her favorite things include: Elton John music, movies The Sound of Music, and Beaches, rainbows, fountains, Harry Potter, and gossip magazines.
HOW WE MET
I had noticed her frequenting Outabounds Nightclub in Banff, Alberta where I was working part-time as a DJ on Monday's Hip-Hop Night. She and her friends had come to request songs several times, but her version of this story is that on one occasion she had offered to buy me a beer (Budweiser by the way) for playing her favourite song, and I was rude and snubbed her. For the record, I don't believe this to be true, and those who know me, know full well I woud never be rude, especially to a girl I had been "checking out". Anyhow the story continues.
By December, after not having seen her in the Club in quite a while, it was a Thurday, December 6th, 2001...Ladies Night when I would next see her. I had just arrived at the Club, from my full-time job as an Asst. Mgr. at The Rimrock Resort. Still wearing my suit, and with a pocket full of money I was able to conjure up enough liquid courage to finally talk to her. After, delaying a while I noticed she appeared to be leaving, so with the help of my fellow DJ (who was sick and tired of hearing me go on about her, and wondering why I had not approached her) I approached her friend Crystal and asked if theey were leaving. Crystal told me that only one of their friends was and that Kim would be right back. I waited anxiously making awkward small-talk with Crystal for Kim to return to where we were standing. When she returned I asked her if she was leaving; although I already knew she wasn't, and if I could buy them a drink. They were both gracious and declined, but I insisted saying I had just got paid. So with 3 Vodka drinks we began talking, the talking led to dancing, which led to more drinks, which led me to ask her to my Christmas Party four days later.
We talked a bit over the next couple of days, and had one semi-date. I picked her up at her apartment in a Navy suit with a white shirt and tie. She was wearing a black skirt and black sweater. We had a blast. Since then I have never looked back, I never want to, and never will. Kim is everything I could ever ask for in a friend, a soulmate, and the love of my life.PROFILE

A Loss for Words
At a loss for words, a moment engulfed in awelooking for nothing, and loving what I saw
