CREATING THE TAG Step 1 Open up a new transparent image 375 width by 250 height and open up the tube image you will be using. Select a prominent color that works well with your tube image and flood fill the transparency with that color. Step 2 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and select a tube, preset shape or scrap element to use as a logo for your tag. Apply the logo to the top, right hand side of the tag. Do leave some room at the sides and/or top of the tag to later add your tube graphic and any other decoration. Step 3 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and add all the business card text. You can use the business card I created as a guide. If you want to apply a drop shadow to your text, put your text on separate layers and go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use my settings or your own favorite. Step 4 Once you have your text and logo on your tag, go to Layers/Merge/Merge visible. Step 5 Open up a new transparent image 500 width by 550 height. Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Copy. Make your new transparent image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Step 6 Open up your tube image and go to Edit/Copy. Make your business card active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. If you need to resize the tube image, go to Image/Resize, using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked. Step 7 If your tube image become dull looking after being, go to Adjust/Sharpness/Sharpness. Step 8 (Optional) Go to Effects/Plugins/Xero/Porcelain and apply the filter at the default settings. Step 9 Repeat Step 3, applying a drop shadow. Step 10 Add any scrap element or tube decorations to the tag and repeat Steps 7 through 9. Step 11 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Step 12 Open up the business card holder and go to Edit/Copy. Make the business card tag active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Step 13 Go to Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom so that the business card holder is below the business card. Step 14 Make sure you are now on the layer with the business card and left click the deform tool. You will see on your business card, in the middle of the deformation rectangle, there is a small circle with a line and a rectangle. If you put your mouse over it you will see two rounded arrows. If you are at this very spot and hold down your left mouse button, you can rotate your card so that it is angled on the card holder. Holding down your left mouse button, rotate the card to the left. If it is angled too far to the left, again hold down your left mouse button and you can also rotate the card to the right. Once you have the card's angle exactly how you want it, left click on any tool, and the deformation rectangle will disappear. Left click the mover tool, and move the card to where you want it on the card holder. You may have a message to reset the deform tool - if so, just click ok. Step 15 Left click the crop tool and going from left to right and down, draw a rectangle around the areas of the tag you wish to keep, eliminating all of the transparent portions not used. Double left click within the rectangle or left click the check mark at the crop ribbon. Step 16 If you wish a smaller tag, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Save the tag as a jpg. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
