Supplies Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro any version. Filters Unlimited or Filters Unlimited 2. We will be using the Shiver Filter. Two Moon Filters. We will be using the Wish It Would Rain Filter. Tube of Choice. The tube graphic I am using is from an image created by Adam Byrne. Please remember, when creating your signature tags, to only use permission art and to apply the copyright information on the tag. If you have purchased a commercial image, do add your license number as well. SETTING USED IN THIS TUTORIAL
Magic Wand Settings used in this tutorial are: Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance 0, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected. Drop Shadow Setting: Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 65 Blur 2.60, Color Black Step 1 Open a new transparent image 600 width by 400 height and your tube graphic Step 2 At the Material Palette, left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens up, left click on a solid color that will work well with your graphic and flood fill the transparency with this color. Step 3 Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90%, Bicubic and Resize all Layers NOT checked. Step 4 Go to: Effects/Plugins/I.C. Net Software/Filters Unlimited/Special Effects/Shiver or Effects/Plugins/I.C. Net Software/Filters Unlimited 2/Special Effects1/Shiver and use these settings: Horizontal 0 and Vertical 99 Step 5 Left click the magic wand and apply the settings from above. Left click the magic wand in the middle of the tag (where you have the solid color) to select it. Step 6 Go to Layers/Duplicate and do this once more so you have three layers but DO NOT DESELECT. Step 7 At the Material Palette, in the bottom color box, select a color either from the same or different color family that will work well with the color you selected in Step 3 to use as a foreground-background gradient. Step 8 Left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens, left click gradient. For style, select linear. Left click the down arrow and go to foreground-background with angle and repeats set to O. Flood fill the selection with the gradient but DO NOT DESELECT. Step 9 Open up your layer palette and make sure you are on the bottom layer. Go to Effects/Plugins/Two Moon/Wish It Would Rain and use these settings: Lines-O-Colour 0 How Many Lines 119 Make It Rain 255 Step 10 At the layer palette, make sure you are now on the middle layer. Go to Effects/Plugins/Two Moon/Wish It Would Rain and use these settings: Lines-O-Colour 0 How Many Lines 140 Make It Rain 255 Step 11 At the layer palette, make sure you are now on the top layer. Go to Effects/Plugins/Two Moon/Wish It Would Rain and use these settings: Lines-O-Colour 0 How Many Lines 166 Make It Rain 255 Step 12 Left click the crop tool and draw a rectangle going from left to right and down around the tag portion. Do not include the transparency surrounding the tag - that we want to eliminate. Double left click inside the rectangle or left click the check mark at the Crop Ribbon. Step 13 Make sure all your layers are open (no red x's) and save this file as Image1.psp. but do not close the file. Step 14 Open up your tube graphic and Go to Edit/Copy. Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and Resize all Layers Not checked. Left click the mover tool and place your image so it fits in the middle portion of the tag between the top and bottom flaps. The image should not exceed that area. Step 15 If you wish to add a drop shadow, go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings above or your own favorite ones to give the tube image a more dramatic effect. Step 16 On the same layer add your text and copyright information. Go to Edit/Copy. Now go to Edit/Paste as New Image. You should now have a transparent image with your graphic, text and copyright information. Save this as Image2.psp. We will finish the tag in animation shop. Click here to continue...
