Desert Tag

Step 1

Open up the Algerian font through Windows Explorer, and minimize it.

Step 2

At Animation Shop, go to File/Open and open up the desert jpg file.  With the mouse, right click on this file and go to Duplicate Selected. Once you do, you should see F:2 which means 2 frames.   Repeat the duplicated selected again and you will now see F:3 which means 3 frames.  Repeat again, and you will now have F:5 - meaning 5 frames.  Again go to Duplicate Selected and you will now have 9 frames.  And once more go to Duplicate Selected and you should now have 17 frames. Go to View/Normal Viewing.

Step 2

Holding down the control key, left click on frames 14 through 17 to activate them.  Right click on one of the frames, go to delete and left click.  You should now have 13 frames remaining.

Step 3

Open up the papyrus animation.  You will see you have 12 frames.  Right click on Frame 11, do to Duplicate Selected and left click. Left click the text tool on top, bring it to Frame 12 and left click.  When the text tool window opens up, select the Algerian Font at Size 12 and type in your text and click ok.

Step 4

Go to Animation/Resize Animation with percent of original at 90%, Smart Size and Maintain Aspect Ratio checked.

Step 5

Holding down the control key, left click the A key to activate all the frames.

Step 6

Go to Edit/Copy.  Make the desert tag image active and go to the very first frame and go to Edit/Paste into selected frame.  Holding down the left mouse button, place the papyrus animation in the left hand portion of the tag. Once you have the animation placed, release the left mouse button.

Step 7

Right click Frame 1, go to Frame Properties, left click, and type in 200.

Holding down the control key, right click on Frames 2 through 11, left click on one of the frames, go to Frame Properties, and type in 30.

Right click Frame 12,  go to Frame Properties, left click, and type in 500.

Right click Frame 13, go to Frame Properties, left click and type in 60.

Step 8

Before we continue to save the animation, let's first click the Customize button to make sure you have all the correct settings for this animation. 

Click the Customize button and you will see two tabs:  Colors and Optimizations.

Here is what each setting should be under the two tabs.

Colors

255 Colors, Optimized Median Cut and Error Diffusion should be checked.

Optimizations

The middle three selections should be checked. 

The top and bottom selections - unchecked.

After customizing these animation settings, click Ok and click Next and you will get the following screens:

Screen 1

Animation versus output Size - just click next.

Screen 2

Optimization process - just click next.

Screen 3

Optimization preview - just click next.

Screen 4

Optimization results - click finish.

Step 9

Make sure to save your image as a gif file.
