Supplies Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro. VM (Visual Manipulation)Toolbox Filters. We will be using the grid filter. Tube of Choice - I am using a commercial licensed image created by Scott Tolleson and licensed through CILM. SETTING USED IN THIS TUTORIAL Drop Shadow: Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black Magic Wand Settings used in this tutorial are: Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance 46, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected
Step 1 Open up a new transparent image 700 width by 500 height and your tube image. At the material palette, select a color that will coordinate with your tube image and flood fill the transparency with that color. Step 3 Go to Effects/Plugins/VM Toolbox/Grid and use these settings:
Step 4 At the material palette select a coordinating color for the grid. We will be changing the white grid which is the default for a color. Step 5 Left click the magic wand and use the settings from above. Left click the magic wand on an intersecting line so that when you do all the lines from the grid are selected. If the tolerance of 46 does not work with your version of PSP, do raise or lower it to your specifications. Flood fill this selection with the color you selected in Step 4 but DO NOT DESELECT. Step 6 Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above. Go to Selections/Select None. Step 7 Open up the motorcycle graphic and go to Edit/Copy. Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Left click the mover tool and move your image to where you would like it on the tag. Step 8 Open up your tube graphic and go to Edit/Copy. Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked. Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Step 9 Go to Image/Add Borders and when the border selection window opens up, select the color for your border (same color as the grid), symmetric and border width 4. Step 10 Left click the magic wand and change the tolerance to 0. Left click the magic wand on the border to select it. Repeat Step 6, adding a drop shadow, and go to Selections/Select None. Step 11 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and add your copyright information. Step 12 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and add your text but do leave room to apply the animated motorcycle on both sides of your text. Step 13 Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 80%, bicubic and resize all Layers checked. Save this file as a psp or psd file. We will finish the tag, adding the animation in Animation Shop.
