Needed: Jasc/Corel Paint Shop Pro. Mura Pro Meister - Cloud Filter Tube of Choice - For this tutorial, I used a delightful image created by Suzanne Woolcott. You can purchase her wonderful art in tube and full form at AMI which stands for Artistic Minds, Inc. Supplies: Rainbow, Grass, Word Art and template created by me. Kitty, butterflies, flowers, and sun were all Microsoft Media clipart images that I tubed. It is so much fun to go to Microsoft Clipart Media and create your own components from clipart images, add a filter or two and you are ready to go and make your tag! There are thousands of great images to choose from too! Optional - Any additional elements or scraps you wish to add or change. I add this because everyone has grass, flowers, butterflies, sun images and instead of using mine, you may want to substitute and use your own.
SETTINGS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL Magic Wand: Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance 0, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected Drop Shadow: Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black Step 1 Open up the gm template. Open up the layer palette and go to the layer with the white circle. Left click the magic wand using the settings from above and left click inside the circle. Go to Effects/Plugins/Mura's Meister/Cloud. Go to where it says Preset Menu and click the down arrow and select Thin Clouds at the default settings. Go to Selections/Select None. Step 2 Go back to the layer palette and go to the topper layer which is light gray. You will colorize this topper to your color of choice. Go to Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize and move the sliders until you have a color you like for your topper. Step 3 Open up the rainbow tube. Go to Edit/Copy. Make the template active and go to Edit/Paste as new layer. Go to Layers/Arrange/Move Down so that the rainbow is under the topper. Left click the mover tool and set the rainbow in place. Step 4 Open up the grass tube and copy and paste on the template as a new layer. Step 5 Open up the flower tube. Copy and paste this tube on the template. Go to Layers/Arrange/Move down so that the flowers are beneath the topper but above the grass. (See above). Left click the mover tool and place the flowers where you like it. Step 6 Go to Layers/Duplicate and Image/Mirror and move the flowers to the other side of the tag. Step 7 Open up the layer palette and go to the top layer. Now open up the sun tube and copy and paste it to your tag. Step 8 Open up the butterfly tube and copy and paste it on the rainbow. Go to Layers/Duplicate and Image/Mirror and move the butterfly to the other side of the rainbow. Step 9 Open up your tube image and copy and paste it to your tag as a new layer. If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked. Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the drop shadow settings from above. Step 10 Copy and paste the kitty to your tag. Step 11 Open up the butterfly2 tube and copy and paste on your tag. Step 12 Add your copyright information to your tag. Step 13 Open up the layer palette and go to the top layer of your tag. Open up the Good Morning Sunshine Word art and copy and paste it above your tag. Step 14 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All Flatten. Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90% or smaller, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Save your tag as a jpg template without the text. Step 15 For the text colors: Go to the top color box at the Material Palette and make it black. Go the bottom color box, left click it and when the color selection window opens up, select the Gradient tab. Scroll down and locate the Red-Orange-Yellow gradient with angle set to 90 and repeats set to 0. When adding text, make sure to add a stroke at about 2, apply the drop shadow, (as the one I used above), and resave with a new name. This way you will still have your template intact to reuse again so that you can make multiple tags for friends and group members. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Purrs, Nikki, Nichie and Sue
