IMAGE REVEALED TAG

Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro all versions.

Full Image of choice (no tubes used).  The full image I am using is a commercial licensed image created by Anthony Guerra and sold through CILM.    I purchased a lifetime tube/image membership and you can too, at CILM.   CILM stands for Creative Image Licensing and Management and it is through CILM that you can purchase Anthony Guerra's awesome images whether in specific packages or with a life time membership.  You can also purchase various other art packages in full or tube form from many outstanding artists as well.

Step 1

Open a new transparent image 500 width by 500 height.  Also open up your full image.

Step 2

Make your full picture active and go to edit/copy.  Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.

Go to Image/Resize and using the percent option at about 125% or larger, Bicubic and Resize all Layers not checked.  What we are doing is making the image LARGER (not smaller) so it fits within the entire transparency.  Left click the mover tool and place the image as you would like it on the transparency.

Step 4

Your image should now cover the entire tag graphic. Go to Layers/Merge/Merge all (flatten).

Step 5

Now we will blend or frost your image so that your text and copyright information will be seen easily. Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and flood fill this layer with white.  Open up your layer palette on the white layer and move your opacity setting over until you see the bottom image seeping through the white layer. You can adjust this visibility to your liking.

Step 6

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).

Step7

Go to Image/Add Borders and when the border selection window opens up - select the color black, symmetrical and border width 3.

Step 8

Add your text and copyright and go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Save your image as a psp or psd file.

Step 9

Open up a new transparent Image 100 width by 500 height. Flood fill this image with the color you will want for your film covering your image. I used brown - you can use whatever color you like.

Step 10

Open up the layer palette and move the opacity setting over to about 76.  We want the image to be opaque so that when we add our film we will be able to see below it. Save this image as a psp or psd file.

You should now have two images saved - the full image with the border and the opaque strip.  The rest of the tutorial will be completed in animation shop.
