SETTINGS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL

Drop Shadow:

Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black

Step 1

Open a new transparent image 600 width by 600 height and the tube graphic you will be using.  At the Material Palette, in the top color box, select a deep (but not dark) color that works well with your tube graphic.  In the bottom color box, select black. Left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens, select gradient, foreground/background linear style with angle and repeats set to 0. The color black should be the color on top and the color from your tube graphic should be beneath.

Flood fill the transparency with this foreground-background linear gradient.

Step 2

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90%, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.

Step 3

Go to Effects/Plugins/DSB Flux/Linear Transmission and use these settings, making sure vertical direction is checked.

Step 4

Repeat Step 2 resizing 90%.

Step 5

Repeat Step 3 but this time make sure horizontal is checked.

Step 6

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above. Apply this drop shadow once more (totaling 2 times)

Step 7

Go to Layers/New Raster Layer.  Flood fill this layer with white.

Go to Layers/Arrange/Send to bottom.  This will allow you to see what your tag will look like as you add the final steps.

Step 8

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90%, Bicubic and Resize all Layers checked.

Step 9

Open up your tube graphic and make it active.  Go to Edit/Copy.  Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.

Step 10

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.

Step 11

Repeat Step 6 but only apply the drop shadow to the tube graphic once.

Step 12

Add your text in white so that it stands out and apply the drop shadow to the text once or twice.

Step 13

Add the appropriate copyright information to your tag.

Step 14

Decorate your tag with any additional scrap elements, preset shapes, or brushes.

Step 15

Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten) and save your tag as a jpg.

We hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
