Tube of Choice  -  For this tutorial, I used a delightful image created by Suzanne Woolcott.  You can purchase her wonderful art in tube and full form at AMI which stands for Artistic Minds, Inc.

Supplies:  Mosaic Flower Template and Flower created by me.

SETTINGS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL

Magic Wand:

Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance 0, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected

Drop Shadow:

Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black

Step 1

Open up the mosaic flower template and tube graphic.  Left click the Shift and D keys to duplicate the template.  Close the original template and let's work with the duplicate.

Step 2

At the Material palette, in the top color box, select a color that coordinates with your tube graphic.

Step 3

Open up the layer palette and go to raster layer 1.  Left click the magic wand using the settings from above.  Left click the magic wand in the center of the flower circle.

Go to Layer/New Raster Layer and flood fill that layer with the color you selected in Step 2.

Do NOT Deselect.

Step 4

Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Glass and use these settings:

Do NOT Deselect.

Step 5

Go to Effects/Texture Effects/Mosaic Antique and use these settings:

Go to Selections/Select None.

Step 6

Open up the layer palette and go to the top layer.  Go to Layer/New Raster Layer and flood fill this layer with white.

Go to Layers/Arrange Send to Bottom.

Step 7

Open up your layer palette and go to Raster Layer 2 (where you have the flower circle).

Go to Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize and colorize your flowers to work with your tag and tube graphic image colors by moving the sliders until you get a shade you like.

Step 8

Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above.

Step 9

Open up your layer palette and go back to Raster Layer 1 (where your circle is). Left click the magic wand inside the circle to select it.

Step 10

Open up your layer palette and go to the top layer.

Open up the gray sunflower and colorize to match your circular flower frame.

Copy and paste the colorized sunflower as a new layer. Place it  on the left side at the center of the flower circle frame (see below).

Step 11

This time, copy and paste the colorized sunflower as a New Selection and place the sunflower directly oppose the first one as you see below. We want both sunflowers on the same layer.

Apply the same drop shadow as you did in Step 8.

Step 12

Go to Layers/Duplicate.

Go to Image/Rotate/Free Rotate/Direction Right/Free/15 degrees.

Do this 3 more times so you have a total of 4 layers with flowers.

Step 13

Open up the layer palette and go to Layer 1 (the circle layer).  Left click the magic wand and left click inside the circle.

Open up your layer palette and go back to the top layer.

Step 14

Open up your tube graphic and copy and paste it as a new layer. If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.

Left click the mover tool and move it within the selection.

Go to Selections/Invert.  Click the delete key and go to Selections/Select None.

Step 11

Repeat Step 8 applying the drop shadow.

Step 12

Go to Layers/Duplicate. You want to duplicate the tube layer.  Open up the layer palette, and move the duplicate tube image below the flower circle layer.  Leave the original tube image on the top layer. Make sure that both images are exactly aligned.

What you will now do is very carefully erase the bottom portion of the top tube graphic  image so that the bottom portion of the tube image is beneath the flower circle but the top portion of the image is on top of the flowers. It is very important that both images are exactly aligned to get this over/under effect.

Once you have this done, go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten).

Step 13

Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90% or smaller, bicubic and Resize all Layers checked.

Step 14

Add your copyright and go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten) and save your tag as a jpg template.

Step 15

When you are ready to add text, save each tag with a new name.  This way you can make multiple tags for friends and group members.

We hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
