CREATING THE  BASIC TAG

Step 1

Open up your swirl template and go to Layers/Duplicate.  Do this two more times so you have a total of 4 layers.

Step 2

At the Material Palette, left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens up, left click the gradient tab and select any gradient you wish.  I used the rainbow pastel gradient, but you can use any one you like. Make the Angle 21 and the Repeats 1.

Step 3

Left click the magic wand and use the settings from above.  At your layer palette, make sure you are now on the bottom layer.  Left click the magic wand inside the swirl pattern to select it.

Left click the flood fill tool and fill the selection with the gradient - DO NOT Deselect.

Step 4

Make sure you are now on the second layer.  At the Material Palette, left click the gradient you selected in Step 1 and when the color selection window opens, change the gradient repeat settings to 3 and leave the angle at 21.  Flood fill the selection with this gradient. - DO NOT DESELECT.

Step 5

Make sure you are now on the third layer.  At the Material Palette, left click the gradient you selected in Step 1 and when the color selection window opens, change the gradient repeat settings to 5 and leave the angle at 21.  Flood fill the selection with this gradient.  DO NOT DESLECT.

Step 6

Make sure you are now on the fourth layer.  At the Material Palette, left click the gradient you selected in Step 1 and when the color selection window opens, change the gradient repeat settings to 7 and leave the angle at 21.  Flood fill the selection with this gradient.  Go to Selections/Select None.

Step 7

Open up your tube graphic and go to Edit/Copy.  Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer.  Your tube graphic should now be on the top layer.  If the image is too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked.

Step 8 (optional drop shadow)

If you wish to add a drop shadow to your tube image, go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above or your own favorite drop shadow settings.

Step 9

We will not be adding any more layers to this tag.  We will add everything following on the same layer as the tube image. Open up the retro flower psp file and go to Image/Resize, using the percent option at 90%, bicubic and resize all layers checked.

Step 10

Select one of the flowers that works well with your graphic and go to Edit/Copy.  Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New selection.  Holding down the left mouse button place the image, place the flower on one of the swirl quadrants (look above at mine).  But do not deselect.  Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above.  Go to Selections/Select None.

Step 11

Repeat Step 10 for the remaining three quadrants of the swirl design.

Step 12

Open up the element  (bolt) prn file and resize 90%.  Make the bolt active and go to Edit/Copy.  Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Selection.  Holding down the left mouse button, place the bolt in the middle of the flower and go to Selections/Select None.

Step 13

Since you have the element already in your clipboard, just go to Edit/Paste as New Selection and again paste the bolt in another flower.  Continue doing this until the bolt is pasted in all the flowers.

Step 14

Still on the same layer, apply your text using the float option.  In the top color box, I used the color black.  In the bottom color box,  I used the same gradient but changed the angle and repeats to 0. Optional:  Apply a drop shadow as you did in Step 8.

Step 15

Go to Layers/Duplicate and Duplicate this tube graphic layer 3 times so you have a total of 4 layers.
