SETTING USED IN THIS TUTORIAL
Magic Wand: Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance 8, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected. Drop Shadow: Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80, Blur 5, Color Black
Step 1 Open up the Sweet Dream Scrap kit, the picture template, your tube of choice and a new transparent image 700 width by 700 height. Select two papers from the Sweet Dreams scrap kit that you will use for your tag. Step 2 Make the picture template active and go to Edit/Copy. Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 90%, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked. Step 3 Go to Layers/Duplicate. You will now have two picture templates to work with. Left click the mover tool and move the duplicate to the side. Step 4 Have both of the papers from the Sweet Dreams scrap kit on your PSP desktop. Left click the magic wand and use the settings from above. With the magic wand, left click the gray portion of the picture template to select it. Step 5 At the Materials Palette, left click the top color box and when the color selection window opens, left click pattern. Click the down arrow and locate one of the papers that is on your PSP desktop. The angle should be set to 0 and scale should be set to 100. Flood fill the picture template with one of the papers and go to Selections/Select None. Step 6 Make the duplicate picture template active and follow Steps 4 and 5 but this time use the second paper you selected. Step 7 Go to Image/Rotate/Free Rotate/Direction Right/10 Degrees. Left click the mover tool and move the two picture templates together as you see on my completed tag. Step 8 Now comes the fun part, decorating the tag. Copy and paste the elements from the Sweet Dreams Scrap kit on separate layers. If the elements are too large, go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers NOT checked. For each of the elements go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and apply the drop shadow settings from above. If you are using the stitches for decoration, do colorize them by going to Adjust/Hue and Saturation/Colorize and finding the color that works for you. You will also need to rotate the stitches. I find the easiest way to do this is to place the stitches on a separate layer, left click the raster deform tool and rotate the stitches on the graphic. Once you have them placed, left click the selection tool set to rectangle. Draw a rectangle around the stitches you do not need, click the delete key, and go to Selections/Select None. Step 9 Once you have all your elements placed on the tag, go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Step 10 Open your tube graphic. Repeat Step 7 rotating the image 10 degrees to the right. Go to Edit/Copy. Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer and place the image on the picture template that is angled 10 degrees. If the image is too large, resize the image the same way as you did in Step 8. Step 11 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Step 12 Left click the crop tool and draw a rectangle around the area you wish to keep, eliminating any excess palette you do not need. Double left click within the rectangle or left click the check mark in the crop ribbon. Step 13 Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 85%, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Step 14 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten), add your copyright information, and save your tag as a jpg. This is now a template. There is no text yet. This way, you can make multiple tags for your friends. Step 15 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer, add your text and the same drop shadow as above. Step 16 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten) and save your tag with another name so that your template will still be intact. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial. Purrs, Nikki, Nichie and Sue
