Supplies Jasc/Corel's Paint Shop Pro. Tube of Choice - For this tutorial, I used a delightful image created by Jamie Kidd. You can purchase her wonderful art in tube and full form through CILM. Accessories - Three mirrors in zip file. All these items were downloaded from Microsoft Clipart Media, colorized, and tubed by me. Microsoft Clipart Media is really a wonderful site for clipart. Please remember, when creating your signature tags, to only use permission art and to apply the copyright information on the tag. If you have purchased a commercial image, do add your license number as well. **When creating your Signature tags with Paint Shop Pro, do remember to save continually. Nothing worse than to use up your memory resources and lose everything!** SETTINGS USED IN THIS TUTORIAL Magic Wand Settings: Mode: Add/Shift, Match Mode: RGB Value, Tolerance 0, Contiguous checked, Feather: 0, Anti-Alias checked and outside selected Drop Shadow Settings: Vertical Offset 2, Horizontal Offset 2, Opacity 80 Blur 5, Color Black
CREATING THE TAG Step 1 Step 2 Open up one of your smaller mirror psp files and your tube image. Make the smaller mirror Image active and go to Edit/Copy. Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Step 3 Open up your tube graphic image and make it active. Go to Edit Copy. Make the tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. What we will need to do is align the tube graphic image so that the face of your tube graphic will fit within the angle of the mirror graphic. Left click the raster deform tool on your tube graphic layer. With your left mouse button, hover it over the middle inside node until you see two rounded arrows. When you see those arrows, left click your mouse button and holding it down, rotate the image so that it aligns with the inside of the mirror. Your image will most likely be too large for the face portion to fit inside the mirror, so go to Image/Resize using the percent option, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Once you have the head size to one that should fit within the mirror, open up the layer palette and make sure you are now on the mirror layer. Step 4 Left click the magic wand and use the settings from above. Left click the magic wand inside the mirror to select it. Step 5 Make your tube image active and left click the mover tool. Move the tube graphic image inside the selection you made in Step 4. Go to Selections/Invert and click the delete key. Step 6 Go to Selections/Select None. Go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Step 7 Open up the second smaller mirror psp file and repeat Steps 2, 3 4, and 5. Step 8 Open up the layer palette, and left click the eye on the layer that already has the mirror and image merged so that you now have a red X on that layer. Make sure you are now on the layer with the new mirror image you are working with and and go to Layers/Merge/Merge/Visible. Go to Selections/Select None. Left click the eye on the layer below to open that layer up (the red X will disappear). You should now have two layers with two small mirrors and your tube graphic image inside both small mirrors. Step 9 Open up the largest mirror psp file. Repeat the same steps from above but this time you will add most of your tube graphic image to the inside of the large mirror (not just the face but most of the body, as well). Once you have the tube graphic image placed inside the largest mirror, open up the layer palette and close off the two previous merged layers (that have the smaller mirrors with the face images). Make sure you are now on the layer with the largest mirror and go to Layers/Merge/Merge Visible. Left click on the red X's to open up all your layers - you should now have three separate layers with each mirror image and tube graphic image inside each mirror. Step 10 Left click the mover tool and place the mirror images where you would like them on your tag. Step 11 Make your tube graphic image active and go to Edit/Copy. Make your tag image active and go to Edit/Paste as New Layer. Move your tube graphic image where you would like it on your tag and resize as needed. Step 12 Go to Effects/3D Effects/Drop Shadow and use the settings from above. Step 13 Go to Layers/New Raster Layer and add your text - You are so beautiful. Do leave room to later add a name (or names if making multiple tags). Step 14 Repeat Step 12, applying a drop shadow. Step 15 Go to Layers/Merge/Merge All (flatten). Go to Image/Resize using the percent option at 80% or smaller, bicubic and resize all layers checked. Step 17 Add your copyright information and licensing information, if applicable, and save this template file as a jpg. Step 18 If making multiple tags, go to Layers/New Raster Layer and apply your name with the same drop shadow used in Step 12. Save this file with another name. We hope you enjoyed this tutorial.
