Now that you've got your files, it's time to get ePSXE ready to run, and, fortunately, it's not too difficult providing you know your computer!
STEP ONE
When you first run ePSXe, (you should use ePSXe Launcher for ease of use) it will produce a dialogue box asking you
to select the 'BIOS' where there should be a list of available choices, and provided that you unzipped it, there should
be an option called SCPH1001.BIN, select it and say continue.
STEP TWO
Now we move onto selecting the video settings. For this I reccomend firstly choosing one of Pete's drivers as they are
very effective and stable. Click on 'config' to set it up. If your are using one of Pete's then choose 'Nice' from the bottom
left of the box. Choose ok and then continue.
STEP THREE
This brings us to the sound. I have always used the ePSXe core as it gives good sound with minimal memory useage. You can
use any but I can't say anything about them. Choose coninue and move onto the CD confing.
STEP FOUR
For the CD settings I would choose 'Duddies Aspi Driver' because it's generally better, but if you have problems then try another.
STEP FIVE
Finally setup the controls and you are just about done.
TWEAKING
You'll be very lucky if ePSXe runs perfectly first time, and therefore you should take these graphical steps:
1) Set the frame rate limiter to auto at 65 fps, or if more speed is needed slightly higher
2) Reduce the screen size to a lower ration
3) Reduce the texture quality slightly
4) Reduce the texture filtering slightly
5) Allow 'faster palatized windows'
6) Try disabling sound, especially if it comes out jerky or you don't use it
