Bebop grew up on the streets of Ney York City. He joined a gang led by Big Red. When the Shredder asked for gang members to help him with his dirty work, Bebop agreed.

One night he and his fellow gang members were told to take out April O' Neil. What they didn't expect was the Ninja Turtles to show up and beat them down. Then Bebop and his buddy Rocksteady voluntered for an experiment that would help them get back at the Turtles. Bebop was turned into a muntant warthog; he got stronger, but no smarter.
