A Poem In Heaven
A rose soft velvet to touch,
It is that of a kiss from God,
to place upon the cheek;
Perfumed in essence,
a flower sent from His heart,
words of love He need not speak,
His voice is the bell in the chapel,
the tinkle of chimes in a summer breeze,
in a song the lark sings,
the sound of rain He brings;
A poem from heaven,
as sun rays display their care,
for none so fine a shadow to pose,
the sihouette of a rose,
nor none more sweet plucked fresh
vivid in hue glistening of morning dew;
A miracle of splendor to behold,
His own work of art,
a priceless gift,not to measure,
may it be a flower pressed,
in book of verses,
His poem that all may treasure .
