Best of three world's
mountain, river and jungle – for the introduction to mountain trekking,
we walk the scenic route in the Annapurna foothills near Pokhara and circle
up through rhododendron, cool forests and lovely Gurung villages with breath
taking views of Annapurna, Dhaulagiri and Machhapuchchhre (Fishtail).
Returning from the mountain,
we board a raft and set off on a leisurely trip down the Trishuli River,
which flows into the heart of the Royal Chitawan National Park. Arriving
at a rustic jungle lodge, we will spend a couple of days here searching
for game on top of an elephant, in a dugout canoe or jeep and on foot into
the deep Terai jungle of the One Horned Rhinoceros, Leopards, varieties
of Deer, the elusive Royal Bengal Tiger and numbers of exotic tropical
bird life.
