Ok this is my first Sailor Moon Fanfic of any kind and I only decided to do it because I am a fan of all manga, great and small. There is no sex or incredibly coarse language in this story (yet) so I can rate this PG with safety

The beginning. The creation of it all. There have forever been three forces struggling for dominance in the universe. Ki, the purity of body, Tarraki, the corruption of mind and Kitai, the neutral party to it all, fighting for itself and allying with no-one. Those of the Negaverse allied with Tarraki, the Sailor Scouts, allied with Ki but Kitai has had apparently little to do. It hasn’t battled for the universe and hasn’t had the unknowing allies of Tarraki and Ki. Until now. . .

"Now is no better time. The advantage is towards me!" Ki remarked.

"Do you truly think I will be defeated by you Ki?" Tarraki shot back.

"Face it Tarraki, your Negaverse has lost. The Generals won’t be resurrected and it is unlikely that Queen Beryl is coming back too soon" Ki pointed out.

It was true however. The Negaverse was essentially dead and what was left were all squabbling, weak factions that were more interested in their own advancement than the destruction of any good guys. Basically the Negaverse was going quickly down the theoretical drainpipe of the universe.

"I take it you’ve ruled me out haven’t you?" Kitai questioned

"YOU!!" Tarraki and Ki cried in unison "YOU!!" They burst into laughter.

"What are you going to do?" asked Ki "You haven’t done a thing since the beginning of time. Tarraki is so useless and I don’t expect trouble from you and I believe this so much that I’ve had the Sailor scouts de-activated. What WILL you do??!!?!"

"Hey I’m not useless!!" exclaimed Tarraki.

"How aren’t you!?!?" argued Ki.

As Ki and Tarraki continued their argument, Kitai logged onto a computer and sent a message to his lieutenant saying only two words.

"It’s time"

"Hey Amy!" Serena whispered in the middle of class "What’s the answer to number 18?"

"You should know by now I’m not going to tell you." Amy whispered back "We only learnt this yesterday, you should know!"

"Oh I know I should but I promise not to ask for any more answers" Serena said "PLEASE??!?!"

"Thats what you said last time. Alright. LAST ONE. 98x+28y" Amy submitted

"Thanks a heap" Serena then returned to her work.

A few minutes later the bell rang and they were released to lunch where they met Raye, Lita, Mina and Rini and sat down to eat. Exams sucked and everyone (Except Amy) was glad for a break.

"So Lita" Serena started "How do you reckon you did on the test?"

"Alright I guess. I’d rather be fighting." Lita replied

"Yeah. I wonder why our powers don’t work anymore? Amy?" Serena asked

"I can’t tell you, though I’ve been researching it for a while now." Amy replied.

And so ended the conversation until the new kid in school walked by, a strange kid called Luek. Luek seemed to avoid people whenever possible and if spoken to, he ended the conversation quickly.

"Hey" Mina said suddenly "I think I’ll go talk to Luek. I’d like to know a little about him."

"I’ll come with you" Serena chirped.

The pair walked up to Luek and stepped in front of him.

"Hi Luek!" Serena said "How are you?"

Luek tried to move around them but the other Scouts were there blocking his road all of a sudden. Their curiosity had been perked so they had gone over to help question him.

"What do you want?" Luek asked, a dangerous undertone to his voice.

"Hey we just want to talk" Mina protested.

"Make it quick!" Luek said

"What is wrong with you buddy?" Lita demanded

"I wish to be left alone" Luek put quite simply

"We just want to be friends y’know" Amy pointed out.

"Why?" Luek asked

"Because you look lonely, wandering the school like that, talking to no-one" Raye said

"I am alone" Luek hissed.

"I’m sick of you buddy. You act all superior to us. Do you want to fight or something?" Lita prompted

"If you believe you can win" Luek stated.

"I think I can. Set your rules." Lita rose to the challenge

"One-on-One with none of your friends interfering." Luek said

"Done"

A ring of students was formed between the two combatants while they prepared.

Funny how the word of a fight spreads so quickly, thought Lita

"Ok you guys" Lita said "don’t jump in, this is between us two."

"Are you ready?" called Luek.

"Whenever you are" Lita called back

Luek charged and brought a fist up to bear. Lita charged too and the two met head-on. Luek jumped and delivered a series of kicks, five in all, to Lita’s cheek. Lita responded with an uppercut the second he landed. Luek went up into the air and flipped before he hit the ground to land on his feet. He crouched and then jumped back at Lita. Lita jumped about a mile into the air. This looked like the opportunity Luek had been looking for. He got below her, crouched, then leaped straight up to meet her. Lita had her leg extended for her trip down to try and kick him but Luek had other ideas obviously.

"SHO-RYU-KEN!!!" he yelled and extended his fist. Her foot caught him opposite his heart and his fist caught her cheek. Lita kept flying up with Luek providing momentum.

"SEEYAH SAY" He yelled again and turned in mid air, fell back to the ground, and landed on his back. Lita gyrated wildly in the air and kept upwards until she got her legs tangled in an overhanging tree. She hung there. Luek got back up, put his coat back on, and went about his business. The other Sailor Scouts spent the rest of lunch trying to get the unconscious Lita out of the tree. . .

Chapter 2

After school the group went to the temple to discern who this Luek was and if he posed a threat.

"We don’t even know his last name y’know" Serena observed.

"SO!! HE SMACKED ME INTO A TREE!!" Lita fumed "SHOULD WE GET HIS ADDRESS!?!!"

"Lita you must admit it was partly your fault, provoking him like that" Amy pointed out.

"My ass I provoked him" Lita yelled

Serena jumped in "You did. You said ‘you act so superior to us, do you want to fight?’ and all he wanted was for us to leave him alone."

"It was your idea to meet him Mina so it’s your fault really!" Lita said

"But you fought him" Mina shot back.

"All right we’re here now." Raye rose her voice over the others "What should we ask the gods about?"

"Ask if Luek is a threat!" Serena said

"Ok" Raye began the process and waited. Not long after she got a reply. Her face was white "The gods just say he is dangerous only to his enemies"

"Which would, after Lita’s stunt, probably includes us" Amy noted.

"Hey!" protested Lita

"And that he is loyal only to those who want to be his friend" Raye continued, ignoring the two.

"Well then it’s obvious what has to be done" Serena sighed "We have to be that freak’s friend"

"You guys can try but I refuse to!" Lita snapped "He is too strange for me"

"Hello?" came a voice.

They swirled towards this new voice. In the doorway stood Luek.

"Yeah? What can I do for you?" Raye asked

"I’m looking for a temple to pray at, can you recommend one?" Luek asked

The Scouts exchanged glances before Raye said "You’re standing in one!"

"I am? I thought this was to good for a temple. It looked like a rich guys mansion!" Luek complimented. Raye beamed with delight at her temple being mistaken for a mansion, even by this weirdo.

"Well this is a Temple so what now?" asked Lita

"I just needed to know, my religion binds me to going to a temple and praying for two hours every Saturday. Does this meet with your approval?" Luek finished

"Fine, fine go ahead. I’ll probably see you there" Raye nodded.

As Luek left the Scouts exchanged glances again.

"Well that was strange!" Amy stated simply

Luek was annoyed. Those foolish girls had been bugging him for a week now and he was loosing patience. This time he spent praying was the only recluse he’d had from those twits. He prayed to no-one specific, just prayed. It was in his religion. It was almost as if. . . But no, nobody had ever wanted to befriend him and it wasn’t logical that these girls would try. Then what did they want? Luek asked himself. They couldn’t know much about him, he didn’t just GIVE information away, especially about himself. Convenient that this temple had belonged to Raye, it made things easier. Easier to eliminate her if that action became necessary.

His two hours were up, he rose and left. Before he left he turned around to face the altar for a second, he then decided to test these girls and see what they were made of.

"We shall see" he smiled.

Up in the cosmic nothingness the two forces, Ki and Tarraki had bad feelings. Ki’s course of action was to re-activate the Sailor scouts, and Tarraki’s final contingency plan was put into action. The plan involved the thought that was put into the head of the remains of the Negaverse to stop their fighting and reform into the once proud Negaverse it used to be and some more plans that revolved around what happened next. All the while Kitai was smiling. Everything was going to plan. . .

Amy was working on her supercomputer when it happened. She was monitoring her Transformation pen when the energy output increased 500 fold. "Oh my God" she gasped. She then contacted the other Sailor Scouts and told them to come over immediately. When Serena finally arrived she was accompanied by Darien. "We happened to be together" Darien explained.

"Want to explain why we are all here Amy?" asked Mina

"Yes. I was running some tests on my Transformation pen when the energy output increased. I think we might have our powers back!" Amy revealed.

"Excellent!" was the simultaneous cry.

Luek was listening from outside the door and he smiled. So, he thought, these girls are the infamous Sailor Scouts. What better time to test them than the time they were least prepared. . .

Dodrite was standing on the bridge of his new Command ship, The Negaverse Reborn. He didn’t know what had come over the Negaverse troops they just stopped fighting and started working together and Dodrite had every intention of making the most of it. They were now producing new ships at the rate of one every ten days and that was a record. Also new was the fact that these ships were going towards recapturing their old territory. Dodrite was the only Admiral, higher than those foolish Generals that had been working against each other. He was part of a final plan to destroy Earth but that plan had been side-tracked by Queen Beryl’s death.

"Set course for Spacestation Optima 1" He ordered "After we have restocked, head for Earth’s satellite, I believe they call it The Moon."

Dodrite smiled

"Lets go Hunting" Dodrite yelled and the bridge cheered.

Serena was walking home at about 10:00 at night when the creature appeared. It barged her aside and then stood over her, snarling.

"Ahhh. You will make a good meal little Earth girl" it crowed.

"Oh oh!" whimpered Serena "Please don’t eat me, I’m all skin and bones, no meat here he he he!"

"No? But you have a great deal of power around you, I can sense it" It said

Just then Serena remembered she had her powers back. she got up and yelled "MOON. CRYSTAL. POWER!!" and then transformed.

"Ahhh. Sailor Moon I presume" it queried.

"You got it bucko. I’m back in action" Serena answered.

"And so are we!" came four other voices.

Standing behind Serena were the other four Sailor Scouts.

"Excellent" it hissed "all of you in one spot. Now I don’t have to hunt you down! Excellent!"

"Lets test our powers" called Lita.

"You got it!" Raye called back.

"Hahahahaha!!" It laughed "Eternal. DARKNESS!!"

The creature disappeared.

"Wha-?"

"Hahahahaha!!" the laugh came from behind.

"Raye! Use your flame. Set something alight!" Amy advised.

"Good idea. MARS. FIRE. IGNITE!!" she yelled and directed the flame at a tree. It burst into flames and they saw a shadow ready to pounce.

"Hissssss" the creature screamed.

It leaped at them and the scouts jumped out of the way. Then:

"Alright it’s time for us to kill this thing. All powers at the same time. Ok?" Serena called to the others

"Lets go. MARS. FLAME. SNIPER!!"

"Alright. JUPITER. OAK. EVOLUTION!!"

"Right. MERCURY. ICE STORM. BLAST!!"

"VENUS. LOVE AND BEAUTY. SHOCK!!"

"I’ll finish off. MOON. SPIRAL. HEART ACHE!!"

The five beams collided with the beast and it disappeared in a blast of light. The Sailor Scouts changed back to normal.

"Well that was a change" Lita said.

"Yeah I’ll say" came a voice from the dark behind them.

Luek came out of the dark and stopped meters from them.

"Hi guys!" He said cheerfully "What’s up? Aside from you guys being Sailor Scouts and all?"

"How long have you been hiding there?" asked Amy

"Hiding! Hiding? Not hiding. Observing!" Luek protested

"Yeah I’ll bet" Lita whispered to Mina.

"Well I actually knew before this. I was outside Amy’s room listening to you guys talk about your powers coming back. I’m not surprised really." Luek stated

"Well now what are you going to do?" queried Amy

"What EVER do you mean?" Luek countered

"Are you going to tell anyone?" Lita cut in.

"Wha-? Oh no no no no no what would that gain me?" Luek pointed out "I would gain little from dobbing you guys in."

"Then what?" Serena inquired

"Oh well now that I have a secret of yours, I’ll tell you something in return. Here goes. Your powers are back because something big is going to happen VERY soon and the power of good, Ki, has re-instated your powers to help you fight it." Luek finished. "All I want is. . ."

"What do you want?" demanded Mina

"I-I w-want. . . Friends" Luek sighed

The Scouts traded glances with each other.

"More than that, I need some advice on actually living. For all my life I’ve never had a friend and don’t even know how to make or keep them. Please help me!" There was a quick sound and Luek started wobbling, then he collapsed to the ground.

"Help me!!" Luek pleaded before passing out.

"What the hell happened!" Lita cried, startled.

"Turn him over" Mina advised.

They turned him over and saw that there was a huge, bloody gap in his back. The creature that was responsible laughed from above them.

"You defeated my brother but you won’t defeat ME!" hissed the creature "That was your punishment"

"Two in one night!?!! No fair" Serena cried out.

It landed and sent out a beam of light that blinded the scouts briefly. When the light disappeared the Scouts had been knocked to the ground and the beast was holding up a ball of energy in his hand. With a laugh he threw it at Serena. The other Sailor Scouts jumped in front but were pushed away. Serena whimpered and ducked but the ball just curved back. Then she jumped but the ball curved again and then Serena heard Luek gasping something. "Serena, <Hack cough>, hit the ball, <Blach ach cough> with your <Ach> Tiara when it faces him." He then coughed up some blood and passed out again.

"Right" Serena said "MOON TIARA MAGIC!!" and threw the Tiara. It hit the ball which in turn hit the monster. It disappeared in a flash of pink light.

"We gotta get this poor sod to a hospital" Mina ordered as she changed back.

"Right" agreed Serena.

Later at the hospital Luek was lying on his stomach with a bandage covering his back. He was confused, he hadn’t created a brother for that monster. That wasn’t part of the test. What had happened? After the Scouts had left him here, the hospital staff had drugged to sleep and he had dreamed about the future again. The dream had been very disturbing and he couldn’t get back to sleep. Strange. This had never happened before. He had had plenty of dreams where family, friends and even himself were injured or killed and he’d never lost sleep over it. It was very odd. The time was now 12:50pm and he still couldn’t get back to sleep.

"Luek?" a nurse asked.

A suspiciously familiar nurse. "Serena?" he inquired "why are you disguised?"

"Doctors wouldn’t let me in, said you wouldn’t be conscious. For some reason they said you needed enough knockout drugs to out down a city. And yet you are still awake. Why?" Serena asked

"Had a premonition, you guys were in it. The Negaverse sent their monsters, four of them. You guys were beating them until they did their "Evil Moon Powerup" and quadrupled their power. Then they killed you, then Raye, then, then..." Luek started sobbing.

"Hey guy calm down. We aren’t going to die!" Serena argued

"But my premonitions have never been wrong!" Luek wailed.

Serena blinked and said "Don’t worry about it. Would you like me to give you something to help you sleep?"

"Please" sobbed Luek

Serena touched her healing wand to his forehead and he fell instantly to sleep. But before that, Serena told Luek "I came here to tell you that we would be your friends Luek"

"Thank you" Luek moaned and then slept.

Serena left the hospital with a very bad feeling.

"He was really worried when I spoke to him, He said he saw us all dying at the hands of four monsters, He even started crying" Serena rushed. They were all at the park discussing this in the smallest corner of the place they could find.

"As if" Lita snorted

"And he says this was a premonition?" Amy queried.

"Yeah" Serena said "So!"

"Well then we’ve gotta prepare, don’t we?" Amy told the Scouts.

"What if he’s lying?" asked Mina

"What would it serve him? We know he only does things if it gains him something" Amy pointed out.

"GRRRRRRRR" yelled a voice.

The Scouts turned around to see a weird Minataur like-monster.

"Transform quick!" screamed Serena

"Moon Crystal Power"

"Mercury Power"

"Mars Power"

"Jupiter Power"

"Venus Power"

"I am the sailor-suited pretty soldier Sailor Moon! In the name of the Moon, I will punish you!" Serena chanted her battle-cry.

"Pathetic" it yelled "I am Khyrador and you can’t defeat me!"

"Well Khyrador we’ve defeated your friends and will have little trouble defeating you." Mina said.

At the hospital, Luek’s eyes shot open.

"Kill!" he said, and his eyes glowed bright, fluro, pink.

"I have a special friend that will help me destroy you Scouts. You may have met him" Khyrador stated.

"BESERKER!!!!!" screamed a voice from behind them. Luek came charging up with claws replacing his fingers, flames replacing his hair, and blades coming out of his arms, legs, elbows and knees. All of this was complete by the time he reached the Sailor Scouts, with his eyes glowing bright fluro pink. His skin, now a mottled silver colour, blurred as he ran past them.

"Luek?" the scouts shouted simultaneously.

"Ahh so you do know my slave. Good that saves time introducing you. This is Luek’s Beserker form, quite powerful really. Fast, strong and with special moves to boot" Khyrador boasted. "Luek, please destroy them."

"My lord" Luek said, bowing away from his side. Luek turned to face the Sailor Scouts and roared.

"DIE!!" he roared as he ran for them. He started off with a flying kick to Serena’s face and, as she went flying, sent a beam of pure cold ice at Raye whilst he sent a cone of pure hot flame at Amy. The two Sailor Scouts flew backwards until Raye hit a tree and Amy crashed into a wall.

"Jupiter Thunder Crash!" yelled Lita

"Venus Love Chain Encircle!" yelled Mina

The dual beams hit Luek and blew him upwards. As he fell back to the ground, the other Scouts got back up and did their special moves.

"Mercury Ice Storm Blast!"

"Mars Flame Sniper"

"Moon Sceptre Elimination"

All three of these weapons hit Luek as he was falling. He crashed to the ground with pink energy electricity flashing over him.

"YOU DARE!!" roared Luek.

He put out his arms and stated spinning. After a few seconds he looked like a pink whirlwind.

"What is he doing?" Serena wondered

"Just don’t let your guard down!" Raye advised

"Grrrrrrrr" growled Luek

"PSYCHO!!!! CRUSHER!!!!" he yelled and flew at the Sailor Scouts. They went flying away and Luek landed on his feet, his eyes glowing as bright as ever. The Sailor Scouts were slow in getting back up.

"YOU WERE FOOLS TO HAVE MESSED WITH THE NEGAVERSE, MORE IMPORTANTLY, WITH ME!!" Luek boomed "NOW, YOU WILL FEEL THE WRATH OF THE NEGAVERSE AS I DESTROY YOU PATHETIC SAILOR SCOUTS!!" He started spinning again.

"This is nuts" Serena complained "How do we fight him?"

A red rose pierced the whirlwind and hit Lueks leg. He stopped spinning immediately. Serena looked up to see Darien on the branch of a tree.

"Fight him with your hearts, not your powers" Darien advised "He is not a Negaverse monster but a Negaverse victim. He joined these monsters to heal his back and this is what has happened to him."

"SILENT YOU FOOL!!" roared Luek "I CANNOT BE DEFEATED!!" He sent a beam of light at Darien but he vanished. "DAMN YOU YOU PATHETIC EXSCUSE FOR FIGHTERS, YOU ARE NOTHING TO ME"

"Fight him with our hearts? Venus, you got any ideas?" mused Lita. "I have a hunch" Venus said "He is still human. Lets remind him of humanity. It’s worth a try!"

"BE SILENT!! YOU HAVE ANGERED ME ENOUGH. PREPARE TO BE PUNISHED FOR YOUR FOOLISH MORALITY, WITH DEATH!!" He proclaimed.

"Wait Luek" Mina started "remember your humanity. Remember the good times you have had."
"Remember your family" Serena continued. Lueks eyes were starting to dim.

"Your favourite things" Raye caught on. Luek’s eyes were almost normal.

"Your friends" Amy said. Luek’s eyes, which had been growing steadily dimmer, suddenly flashed back to full strength with that last comment.

"GRRRRRR. YOU FOOLS!! I HAVE NO FRIENDS!!" he screamed.

"Luek. We are your friends" Serena cried out desperately.

"LIES!!" Luek roared.

"Remember the hospital" Serena asked "Who was it that came to visit you, huh? Who comforted you when you had your premonition, Hmm? Who helped you get back to sleep when you had that premonition at the cost of some of her own power O.K? Me. I’m your friend. You might not know much about how to live but these are things that only friends would do." Luek halted in his path, his eyes returning to normal.

"Serena? I. . ." Suddenly Luek’s eyes went bright pink again.

"Now do you see Sailor Scouts, He is mine, despite what you might say. Hahahaha. What the? Luek, what are you doing" Khyrador worried. Luek had turned around to face Khyrador.

"What are you doing?" Khyrador demanded.

"FOR WHAT YOU HAVE DONE TO ME, I’LL SHOW YOU WHAT I CAN REALLY DO IN THIS FORM!!" Luek boomed

Flame sprung to life around him, rising up around him in a spiral from four points from the ground.

"THIS IS IT!! SEEHYAH!!" Luek yelled, jumping off the ground, then rebounding off of the wall so he was horizontally headed for Khyrador. The fire had long ago manifested into his right arm. "HADO-SHORYU!!!" He yelled and raised his right fist to the uppercut position. He biffed Khyrador in the stomach and he went flying through the air, making a haunting scream as he flew out into space.

Luek returned to his normal form but his clothes were shredded by the tremendous energies. He collapsed to the ground and was back in hospital in an hour.

"I’ve studied his genetic structure and have found something alarming. As you know we got some of his DNA from the battle site where he had that chunk taken out of his back. His DNA chain is collapsing. I predict that he doesn’t have too long before he destroys himself." Amy finished "We have to stop him from transforming."

"Well that should be easy, he’s in hospital now" Serena said "where is he going that he’ll have to transform?"

"That didn’t stop him before y’know" Raye reminded.

"How many more times can he transform?" asked Lita

"I’ll check" Amy promised.

She turned back to her computer and punched some numbers. In a few minutes she had her answer. They were in a cafe and were in the corner so they wouldn’t attract attention.

"About four more times, then his genetic structure collapses and he dies" Amy told.

"Should we tell Luek?" asked Mina

"I think we better" said Serena "He might not transform if he knows. I hope"

"Well Serena you’ll have to tell him. You are the only one he trusts." Lita advised

"Ok. I hate telling people bad news!" Serena groaned. . .

"So I have four transformations to live, you’re telling me?" Luek asked. When Serena nodded he went on "Bummer. I’ll just not transform. And Serena?"
"Yeah Luek?" Serena queried

"Did you really mean you were my friend? I mean, you weren’t just saying that, were you?" Luek asked

"Of course not!" Serena assured "but on another topic, you can leave the hospital later today"
"Excellent! I’ll have to meet you at the shrine" Luek planned.

"Ok see you there. Tomorrow, not today. I have stuff to do" Serena stammered, thinking of the date she had planned with Darien. She better get moving too.

"Seeya!" She chirped as she left. Luek got comfortable in his bed and went to sleep thinking about his first friends.

"Hey Meatball-Head. You’re late! called Darien from the table. Serena hurried from the door and sat down.

"Sorry, I was visiting Luek in hospital. He gets released today." Serena apologised.

"Luek? You mean the guy who ploughed through you guys?" Darien asked, concerned.

"Yeah, he’s actually a nice guy. But I didn’t come here to talk about Luek, I came here to be with you and eat. Lets order dinner!" Serena brightened up when she thought of food.

They ordered dinner and Serena stuffed her face while Darien ate more delicately. After dinner they talked about stuff.

"AHHHHH" yelled someone from outside. Serena looked and saw a monster outside destroying buildings and tearing up the street in rage.

"SAILOR MOON!!" It screeched "COME OUT NOW AND PAY FOR TAKING AWAY OUR SERVANT!!"

"I better take care of this" Serena said

"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!" and after she transformed, she asked "Who are you and why do you care so much about Luek?"

"LUEK BELONGS TO THE NEGAVERSE!! GIVE HIM

BACK!! I AM CORIN AND I ORDER YOU TO!!" the creature screeched.

"Bite me" Serena then stuck out her tongue.

"VERY WELL!" Corin screeched

Corin lunged for Serena and she dodged, but barely. Corin lunged again and this time, Serena was ready. The Moon Sceptre was in hand and she hit him with it, right on the horn. Corin screamed with pain and said "NOW YOU’VE DONE IT!! EVIL. MOON. POWERUP!!!"

That sounded familiar to Serena but she immediately discarded the thought. She had more important things to think about now. The monster blasted her with "HORN ATTACK!!" and went flying. Another blast hit her stomach and she coughed up blood. A third blast hit her head and the world went dark. . .

Darien saw Serena black out and screamed "SERENA!! NOOOOOOOO!!!!!" The monster turned to face Darien and said "Don’t worry little boy, you’ll be joining her soon."

Darien transformed and felt power surge inside of him. A voice in his head kept saying ‘Darien, use the Rose Megacanon’. Darien paid it no mind as he jumped in with his sword drawn and yelled "YOU WILL BE PUNISHED FOR HURTING SERENA. PREPARE TO BE VANQUISHED. I AM TUXEDO MASK!!!"

"Pretty speech. I don’t think you have the power to defeat me though. Lets go!" Corin laughed

"MEGA. HORN. DRILL!!"

The blast headed for Darien and, before he could blink, the blast hit him and he hit a tree. ‘The Rose Megacanon Darien, before you are lost!"

"Thats it Corin. You’re going down. ROSE. MEGACANON!!!" yelled Darien and he was suddenly holding a bazooka which fired a humungous rose at Corin. It hit and Corin just vanished in a bright blue light. Darien ran over to Serena and shook her.

"Wake up Serena, wake up!" Darien screamed "Wake up or there’s no point to any of this, wake up Serena, please!!"

"Please. Wake up" Darien sobbed

Serena’s eyes slowly opened and she took in everything that had happened. "What happened Darien" she whispered

"I defeated the monster, Corin, with a new move I learned, the Rose Megacanon. Nevermind about the rest, we are going to get you to hospital." Darien explained.

"Get me a bed next to Luek!" she ordered weakly. She passed out again.

After this occurred, Darien took Serena to hospital and went to Raye’s temple. He wanted to speak to Raye alone.

"Raye? Are you here?" he called.

"Of course I am, where else would I be?" Raye asked

"Right. Stupid question. Raye, I need you to see something for me. Can that flame tell you the future?" Darien inquired

"Yeah just pick a person and a time." Raye said.

"Serena and in the near future. She was injured in a battle and I want to see if she’ll survive" Darien informed

"I’ll see what I can do" Raye promised.

Raye started up the process and waited for a little. An image of Serena appeared in the air dressed in a beautiful dress. She was lying in a coffin.

"NO! screamed Darien "NO NO NO NO!!!!"

"I-I’m sorry, Darien." Raye stammered

"This can’t happen!" Darien cried

"I’m afraid it will happen Darien" came a voice from the door.

Darien whirled and saw an unfamiliar face.

"Who’s this?" Darien asked Raye

"It’s Luek" Raye answered back

"Luek!" Darien exclaimed, still sobbing "How can you be so heartless, How do you know?"

"Last night I had a premonition. It showed Serena in that same dress, in that same coffin as that" Luek informed him. "Only difference is that after that I saw a strange ball in her hair, part of her hairstyle. Then a monster appeared and took it. I’m pretty sure it was Corin!" Luek expanded on his first statement.

"Corin? I not to long ago blasted him away!" Darien protested "He couldn’t come back!"

"The universe cares little for what you think or want" Luek informed Darien. The ball that Corin takes, is mine. We have to stop him. While Serena is out of it, I will help."

"You can’t" Raye snapped "Your genetic structure is collapsing, you can only transform a few more times. How will you help?"

Luek said coldly "Serena was my first friend. I will not let her die. I think the ball I put in Serena’s hair is my resurrection device. Corin has to know what it is. I’ll give it to her now. Raye, could you come with me please?"

"Sure!" Raye answered

Chapter 9

At the hospital, Luek finished what he was doing and stepped back.

"This device will activate if Serena dies. When Corin comes for it, we will need to be ready for it. Should we post Mina and Amy here?" Luek asked

"Yeah I think so" replied Raye "But we should also look for Corin so we might ambush him before he gets here."

"Good idea but there’s a problem" Luek said "we don’t know where to look."

"We could get Amy to scan for him." Raye suggested

"I suppose but there will be at least two more monsters coming for you guys before Corin comes back" Luek informed

"How do you know?" Darien inquired

"Because my premonition of death showed four monsters destroying the Scouts, meaning Serena lives here but will die at the hands of four monsters unless we can avert it." Luek said.

"Oh" was Darien’s response.

The three waited until Amy and Mina arrived. After telling the pair to stay with Serena no matter what, they left. Raye went home to the temple and Luek stayed at Darien’s place.

"Hey Darien, have you eaten?" Luek called from the living room.

"Yeah but feel free to get yourself something" he called back

Luek went into the kitchen and rummaged through the fridge. After finding two bottles of half empty Coke, three slices of pizza, cheese, and a tub of ice-cream he went back into the living room and turned on the T.V.

"God there is never anything on at two in the morning." Luek complained "Hey Darien, wanna watch an exciting episode of Foreign Correspondence?"

"Hah! I think I’ll pass. I think that there’s some footy on channel 3 though!" Darien told Luek.

"Hey so there is! Wanna come watch it with me?" Luek asked

"How can you be so cold about Serena’s danger?" Darien asked.

Luek turned off the T.V and turned to face him. Darien was crying.

"I can be cold about it because there is nothing more I can do. I have seen family members slaughtered merely because they disagreed with my government, friends imprisoned and tortured because they did the right thing and my good friend Darien, you know nothing of pain until you see your wife disembowelled and hung because the baddies want to get to you and care about no-one else. That is pain" Luek told Darien.

After a long silence, Darien broke the silence with:

"Perhaps you should tell me about your past. It might explain some things to me."

"Ok" Luek began

"I lived in Mech. I was five when my parents were killed. It was a mysterious explosion, no-one could explain it. But now I know it was the Negaverse. My cousins took me in, they were cruel and tortured me every day until I was seven when I developed the psychic powers most people on my planet have. I started to turn to crime, robbery and even murder to find peace. When I turned seven, crime got easier and quicker for me. At this age I was noticed by the Emperor of my planet, an evil and sadistic creature that inhabited other people’s bodies. He had destroyed an entire race of peaceful creatures so they would not achieve sentience. The last of that race was inhabited by him. He enslaved me and he beat me daily until the Nitro Scouts, male counterparts of the Sailor Scouts, destroyed him in a tournament and freed my soul. Not long after that my planet was in civil war. They couldn’t decide on a leader and drinkable water was becoming scarce, our seas were acid you see, Nitro Neptune came along and remedied that though. By this time I was 15 and legally able to shoot a gun so I was drafted to the Army. I was commended for killing 5000+ of the enemy troops. Again the Nitro Scouts came at my request and made peace with all so we elected a Council to dictate our planet. This ended the war 200 years after it began. I am actually an immortal being. I was here before the beginning of time, I will be here at the end of it. I just get reborn with my memories. The funny part is that I’m my own son. This is just one life I’m referring to. At the end of the war I got enslaved by the Negaverse and I went after my friends, the Nitro Scouts. They defeated and Purified me before I could kill them so that was one plan down the drain on the Negaverse part. I then got a job and married a girl called Nicole. I was twenty five, she was twenty. We had fifteen long years together with little more than a scuffle. Then the Negaverse came to my planet again and they killed Nicole. I went Berserk and destroyed their fleet only seconds after they disembowelled Nicole and years after they landed. Their entire fleet lasted seven minutes before they were destroyed. Then I killed myself, I couldn’t live with the grief of Nicoles’ death. I had hoped that because I had no children that I couldn’t be resurrected. I was wrong. On an unknown planet now called Earth I was put into the body of one of my grandson’s children. There isn’t much more to tell from there. I made no friends and just spent my life destroying Negaverse scum until I moved to this city and school. The rest, as they say, is History."

Another long silence separated the boys until Darien said:

"Now, how about that football?"

Luek laughed and switched the telly back on.

CHAPTER 10

The attack they had expected came at 3:00 am. Luek was on the couch asleep, Darien was in his bed thinking, Amy and Mina were on guard duty at the Hospital and Raye was asleep in her bed where Lita was sleeping over. A mental Blast roused them, torturously. The blast had given them the mental picture of the hospital entrance. Raye, Lita, Darien and Luek ran for the Hospital, while Amy and Mina stayed in the room to guard Serena. Luek and Darien arrived first and waited.

"Hey guys! Over here!" yelled Raye as she ran up, fully transformed as was Darien. Luek was a formidable enough fighter without transforming so he stayed himself.

"Well fancy meeting you here!" Luek joked "What brings you on such a calm night when nothings gonna happen!"

"Oh gee I just felt like a nice walk in this FREAKIN’ FREEZING WEATHER!!" Raye shouted.

"Waiting for us?" screeched a voice.

"They must’ve been" another voice growled.

"They’re here!" Darien said calmly.

"Wait! Two of them?" Luek freaked.

The two owners of the voices dropped down and knocked the trio to the ground.

"Did we keep you waiting long!!!" one of them asked

"You won’t be here long at any rate!!" the other said.

"Hah" Luek snorted "That’s what you think. Let’s rock"

"Ok!!" the red one said.

They really were ugly, the monsters. The last one to speak was red and looked to be made of rock, the other was a being of pure lightning. They looked formidable.

"Rock, you say? Very well" the red thing laughed. It pulled a chunk out of it’s chest and it was in the shape of a spear. He threw it at Darien and it screeched "Join your girlfriend!"

Luek stepped forward and grabbed the spear. He charged it with Ki energy and threw it back. "Not yet rock boy" Luek cried.

The spear flew and missed the beast.

"You fool!" It laughed "I am Zenith and I won’t be defeated by you, these girls, or mask boy there!"

"And I am Kimone and we are brothers that shall not be defeated!" The other said.

"DOUBLE TEAM!!" they yelled and a lightning bolt and a rock spear joined together. The three jumped away but were caught by the explosion. "Arrgghhh" screamed Luek in agony.

"JUPITER! THUNDER!! CRASH!!!" yelled Lita and the energy hit Kimone into Zenith and they slammed into the ground.

"Sorry I’m late you guys" Lita apologised, running up to them.

"Thats okay we were doing fine" Luek gasped, pushing himself of the ground. "Ugghh"

"Right!" Lita agreed.

"But now you’re here we can whoop their asses!" Raye said.

Luek jumped in while Darien threw roses. Luek kicked Zenith but was knocked away by his rocky skin. Zenith then punched Luek in the gut. Raye threw a punch at Kimone but had her fist grabbed and twisted until breaking point. Darien threw a rose and prevented her wrist from being broken but had a boulder hit his head and knocked him away into a tree. To summarise, they were being beaten.

Kitai was furious, He had lost control of his creation, Luek and worse still, Luek had joined the Sailor Scouts, the embodiment of good. Oh well, just send the other creation, it was the only thing he could do, this one could attack the Negaverse while Luek did his goodie-goodie act. It was a shame those scouts had become Luek’s friends or this wouldn’t be a problem.

"Damn those Sailor Scouts!" Kitai cursed "Damn them to hell!!"

On the bridge of the ship, Negaverse Reborn, things were going better than that. They had taken back all of their old territory and were now heading back towards Earth. His sources told him that the Scouts were otherwise occupied at the moment so this was the best time to strike.

"Weapons Master! Fire the advanced weapon station ahead of us and tell it kill anything ahead of us." Dodrite ordered.

"Yessir!" the man obeyed.

A bang was heard and the pod fired off. Its wake would destroy anything without a Negaverse signal.

"Sensor readings?" asked Dodrite.

"None yet sir" the sensor master said.

"Sir!! One of our ships has just been destroyed. CAUSE UNKNOWN!!" yelled the fleet master.

"What the hell!!" yelled Dodrite.

"Another ship just blew up!!" the fleet master again yelled.

"Get the rest of the fleet out of here!!" screamed Dodrite "DEMATERIALIZE!!"

"Where to?"

"EARTH!!!"

A face appeared on every screen in the ship.

"You can’t escape and you can’t run forever!!" the face said

"HAHAHAHAHAHA"

"Arrrrggghhhhh" screamed Darien as the two monsters punched him. Luek screamed as he tried to get off the ground, he was pinned by his shoulder by a stone spear, Raye and Lita were both on the ground, writhing in pain from a lightning bolt from Kimone.

"ARRRGGGGHHHH!!!!" Luek cried as he pulled the spear out of the ground. He got up and yelled.

"BESERKER!!!!"

His skin turned that mottled silver colour, his hair was replaced with fire, his fingers with razor sharp claws and he grew a tail with spikes at the end. His eyes glowed pink as he healed his shoulder.

"RISE MY FRIENDS!!" he exclaimed. Pink light surrounded the others and their injuries healed. They got up and Darien cried "We’re Back!!"

"What the?" Zenith gasped.

"Forget it Zenith, lets just power up already!" Kimone advised

"EVIL MOON POWERUP!!"

The monsters grew 3 feet and were more powerful.

"TRY THIS FOR SIZE!!" Zenith yelled

He formed a ball and spikes grew all over him. Zenith flew at them and sent them flying away.

"AND HOW ABOUT THIS!!!" Kimone screeched. Eight lightning bolts flew from his head and two pounded into each of them. The electricity danced over their bodies but still they got up.

"I’m afraid I’m gonna have to use the Hadoshoryu on these guys. Here’s a plan. Darien, throw a rose at Zenith, the rock guy to distract him. Lita, when the Hadoshoryu connects, let loose with a Thunder Dragon and Raye, use Celestial Fire Surround right after Drains’ rose connects. Ok?" Luek asked

"Fine" Raye said

"Gotcha" Darien said

"Let’s go!" Lita cheered.

Luek stood and faced Zenith. He laughed and said "Hey Zenith, get ready, we can only show you this once."

Luek started charging up for the Hadoshoryu, Darien threw his rose, when it connected the fiery rings surrounded Zenith and Luek was ready.

"This is it. SEEHYAHH!!" Luek jumped off of the ground, then off the wall and sailed towards Zenith.

"HADO-SHORYU!!!!!" Luek yelled and raised his right arm, where all the power now was. His fist collided with Zenith’s nose and then, a Dragon made of lightning hit Zenith’s stomach and Zenith went flying through the air and off the planet, screaming all the way.

Luek fell back to the ground and stayed there, recharging.

"YOU DESTROYED MY BROTHER!! NOW YOU DIE!!!" screamed Kimone.

He fired lightning like a gattling gun, barely missing the group.

"ROSE!!! MEGACANNON!!" screamed Darien.

The gigantic rose hit Kimone and Kimone dissolved, leaving only dusty bones.

Luek transformed back to human and staggered back to Darien’s place. Darien followed as the two girls went back to the temple.

Luek slept for a day afterwards while the other’s went to school, then woke up and asked for a drink of water, Serena got gradually better and a month later, is now in a stable condition and the monster attacks seemed to stop.

"Hey Darien!" yelled Luek as he slammed the door to the apartment "I brought some food, there’s nothing in the fridge"
"Yes there is! We have six litres of Coke in the fridge!!" Darien called back.

"Only six litres?" Luek asked incredulously

"Get over it!" Darien advised as he walked in to help "At least you brought food."

"’Spose"

Luek was carrying three bottles and a bag of chips to the couch when his body was wracked with unbelievable pain. He collapsed, dropping everything to the ground and breaking a chair. He felt his mind being taken over again.

"Darien, Get the Scouts before I go over to the Negaverse again. I CAN’T RESIST IT!!!!" Luek screamed.

"ARRRRRRRGGGHHHHH!!!!"

Darien transformed and drew his sword.

"I end this now" Darien said, and put his sword to Luek’s neck.

"NO! YOU! DON’T!" Luek commanded. He lashed out with his fist and caught Darien in the solar plexus. Darien crumpled and Luek jumped out through the window and headed for Raye’s temple. . .

Raye was cleaning up around the temple grounds when Luek came by.

"Luek! What are you doing?" Raye asked as he advanced on her.

"Putting an end to Sailor Mars!" Luek growled, and he jumped at her.

Raye dodged and yelled for help. By blind luck, Lita had been walking to the temple and heard her cry for help. Lita ran up to see Luek in a wrestling hold with Raye. Luek looked up and saw Lita, then disengaged from the hold he’d had. Two beams shot from his outstretched arms and hit the two.

"Your beam didn’t do anything!" yelled Raye, "MARS STAR POWER!!"

Nothing happened.

"What the?" Lita gasped "JUPITER STAR POWER!!!" Again nothing happened. Luek laughed and pulled two small daggers from his boots. With another chuckle he threw them both. One hit Lita in the foot and the other pinned Raye to the wall by her hair. Lita felt immediately drained and saw that the knife had transformed to a snake that was tying her to the ground, and that was fine with Lita. She felt so weak and she didn’t really want to go anywhere. Raye saw this and immediately pulled the dagger from her hair and tossed it at Luek. He dodged, disappeared and appeared behind Raye, laughing. She whirled and punched Luek in the face. His head jerked back and he staggered backwards. Luek recovered and walked over to Lita, then pulled the snake from her foot. Then, lightning flashed all over him as he grimaced. Then, just as abruptly, the lightning vanished and he turned, smiling, to face Raye.

"BOO!" He laughed "JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!!!"

The blast wave hit Raye and she was blasted through a wall into her temple. Luek strolled over, pulled a dagger from his boot, and plunged it into Raye’s arm and started to speak.

"You might be interested in this little toy. It is actually a parasitic creature found on the fourth moon of Mech, called Mira-Taoi. It has the unique ability to copy the special quality of a person and use it for it’s own purposes. These have, however been altered to return to me so they return to me to give me that special power and they are fed then. Ingenious, I thought" Luek laughed again and withdrew the knife from her arm.

"Goodbye." Luek said, kicked her once, and left as Raye lost consciousness.

The Negaverse fleet arrived in orbit of the Moon. Dodrite was worried about that THING that had destroyed five of his fleet. Whilst he was worrying he still had to take command so. . .

"Baymaster, land the troops. I only want to take the fleet down if absolutely necessary!" Dodrite ordered.

"Yessir!" The baymaster saluted. He then turned back to his control panel and typed a few commands which sent shuttlecraft shooting towards Earth.

"Weaponsmaster, Fire a volley of Negabolts at every country on this pitiful planet so we can test our weapons without much suspicion aroused." Dodrite again ordered.

"Aye!" The Weaponsmaster punched some buttons and black beams, almost indistinguishable against the backdrop of space, smashed through Earth’s atmosphere and hit the surface again and again.

"Admiral, the weapons are at full power and the recharge rate is 25.3 per second" the Weaponsmaster reported.

"Excellent. Begin full scale landing and unload the mechanicals. All over this planet we will wreak havoc. Starting with the Sailor Scouts!"

The shuttlecraft stream started to thicken as more and more shuttlecraft left the ships of the fleet to land on Earth.

"We will have this planet." Dodrite grinned. What he didn’t notice was a blue flash streak from one of his ships and head down to the planet, radiating power. . .

Kitai sent his second creation down to the planet after the sabotage of the second command ship, to go down and destroy the renegade Luek. He was too hard to control, Kitai decided, it wasn’t his fault. And at any rate, he was now destroying the Sailor Scouts so it wasn’t a complete failure. No. Not a complete failure. . .

Luek pulled the Mira-Taoi from Mercury’s arm and she fell away, drained. He then shouted "MERCURY AQUA RHAPSODY!!" and sent it at Sailor Venus. She dodged and the stolen power hit a tree. She had transformed before he had had a chance to disable her powers so she was more difficult.

"VENUS LOVE CHAIN ENCIRCLE!!" She cried as the chain whirled towards Luek. He moved but still got clipped by the beam and was sent spinning. Luek raised from the ground and roared. He then charged at Venus while he screamed BESERKER!!! The transformation was done and his claws dug into her. She cried out and fell to the ground. Luek got a Mira-Taoi and stabbed into her knee. Sailor Venus gasped and struggled weakly to get back up. She failed and her head hit the ground, knocking her out as Sailor Moon and Tuxedo Mask arrived. Serena looked at Mina and Amy’s limp bodies and yelled "WHAT HAVE YOU DONE!!!" at Luek.

"Do not weep, your friends will live, I’ve just copied their powers. They’ll just be drained for a while and AHHHH!" Luek’s speech was cut off and his body glowed blue, then red, the green, then yellow and kept cycling.

"He can’t sustain the Sailor Scout powers!" Darien realised

"I think you’re right Darien" Serena said "and he is trying to keep them in, but it’s getting increasingly difficult."

The colours cycled faster and faster until, Luek went grey all over and suddenly a shower of water exploded from his skin. Luek screamed as the fire suddenly burst from his skin, and he kept screaming as lightning shot out of his body and then, as a giant heart radiated away from his body, his screaming ended. Luek slowly got up and looked at Serena.

"You did this to me!!" Luek accused.

"No I didn’t, you did it to yourself. You couldn’t handle all the powers of the Sailor scouts and so they left you." Serena explained.

"Liar! Now I will KILL YOU!!" he screamed and charged.

He was a meter away when Serena heard

"MARS FLAME SNIPER!!!"

"JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!!!"

"VENUS LOVE AND BEAUTY SHOCK!!!"

"MERCURY AQUA MIRAGE!!!"

"ROSE MEGACANNON!!!"

The five energy blasts hit Luek and he was sent flying upwards. He came crashing down to earth and the pink glow in his eyes wavered. Serena made a decision.

"I’m sorry Luek. RAINBOW!!! MOON!!! HEARTACHE!!!" and the beam headed straight for Luek. He opened his eyes and looked up. He put his arms up and managed to just wave the beam away. He then reverted back to human and vanished.

"GOOD!!" screeched a monster from behind them.

"You’re ready for us then." A calmer voice said.

The Sailor Scouts turned around to see four monsters watching them. They were none other than Corin, Khyrador, Kimone and Zenith.

"Did you miss us?" Kimone asked

"Gee yeah, how couldn’t we?" Mina said sarcastically

"Well what are we waiting for?" asked Khyrador

"Let’s start the fight!" Zenith finished.

Lita ran at Corin, Serena jumped at Khyrador, Raye took Zenith head on and Mina went for Kimone.

"Mercury Bubble Blast!!" and the place got alot less visible for the four monsters. Corin laughed and said "Tsalb elbbub yrucrem" and the bubbles vanished. Amy looked shocked.

"I have the power to reverse powers by saying them backwards, enjoy!" Corin explained, then punched Lita in the stomach so hard she flew backwards into Amy and knocked them into a tree. It was a hive of power. Powers were being flung around like snowballs.

"Mars Celestial Fire IGNITE!!"

"Venus Meteor Shower!!"

"Moon Spiral Attack!!"

The fire hit Zenith and he was sent into Corin and they just tumbled for a while, the meteors found their mark on Kimone and he just flipped back and fell face first to the ground and the Moon Spiral Attack blasted Khyrador straight upwards. The four monsters got up and shouted simultaneously "EVIL MOON POWERUP!!!"

Serena just remembered Luek’s premonition and called to the others "RETREAT!!!" and so the Sailor Scouts ran, and found themselves back at the temple, to think out a new plan.

Just then Luek ran in. Serena looked wary.

"Don’t worry, being blasted by all of those powers was enough to break the Negaverse’s grip on me, thats how I got away before being blasted into the stratosphere. Say, have you guys noticed increased activity around here lately?" Luek asked after assuring the Scouts.

"Yes I have actually, It appears to be military" Amy recalled.

"Do you think it had something to do with those earthquakes a day or two ago?" Mina queried.

"Probably but we’ve got some planning to do y’know" Raye reminded everyone.

"Oh yeah!" Serena sat down "Any ideas, anyone?"

"I don’t have any" Luek admitted "All I have is my assortment of gadgets, and fighting skill. I can’t rely on my Beserker form anymore"

"Thats true, you can only transform one more time safely" Lita reminded "Oh and I don’t have any ideas"

"Damn" Serena groaned "Raye?"

"The great leader wants help? Well no, I don’t have any ideas" Raye snorted.

"Serena, I have an idea." said Darien as he walked in.

"DARIEN! Man, I am sorry I smacked you back there!" Luek apologised.

"Thats fine man, you weren’t yourself. Just clean up the mess you made when we get back!" Darien commanded.

"So what was your idea?" asked Mina.

"Well, I heard that Luek had a whole bunch of gadgets, right?" Darien asked

"Yeah?" Luek wasn’t sure where this was headed "They’re all from my planet, so?"

"Well do you think you could upgrade the Sailor Scouts, for one fight at least?" Darien questioned

"Well I’d need Amy’s help but I suppose I could rip up an upgrade, I’m not sure how long it’ll last though" Luek replied "but I’ll need the Silver Imperium Crystal. I’d also need to take Amy on a trip to Mech, and that won’t be easy"

"Why do you need the Crystal?" Serena inquired.

"I’ll need something more powerful for the upgrade to work with, or it’d just be wasting time, the upgrade would fizzle" Luek explained

"Why do you need to go to Mech?" asked Amy

"What? You think Earth has the technology I need? That’s a joke!" Luek retorted.

"Good point!" Amy sighed, and resigned herself to going with him.

"How are you going to get there?" asked Serena "I mean, isn’t Mech quite a long way away?"

"Well, the only way to travel those tens of trillions of light-years is by ripping time-space, I have a two-use machine that can do that for us, a trip there and a trip back" Luek swallowed, and continued "Unless we rip right into a space-ripple"

"What’s bad about that?" asked Lita

"Never mind, Do we have any other people we can call upon for help?" Luek queried.

"Well, we could call help from the Outer Scouts" Serena told Luek

"The who?" Luek said, confused.

"Holly, Amara, Celia, Michelle and we could pick up Rini from Summer Camp, why do you need them?" asked Serena.

"Well, I’d also like, with your leave, to take Darien with me as well. This is because I want to appear like a family when me and Amy go there or we would have to stop and explain alot. This way we could act like siblings, and avoid suspicion" Luek explained "And that is important, or was, a thousand years ago"

Serena spoke into her communicator and a few seconds later, the five new Scouts teleported in.

"Hey, how’d you get Rini here?" Lita asked

"We were stopping by at her camp on our way here when you called us, so we picked her up. Why are we all here?" Celia asked

"Are you guys up for a trip across the universe?" asked Mina

"Sure, where to?" Michelle questioned "Hey who are you?" she shot at Luek. Holly, who had been studying Luek closely, snapped her fingers and exclaimed "Luek!! I thought I remembered you from somewhere! Where have you been?"

"Holly?!? My god! I thought I’d never see you again! Well, after the battle of Uqoi Ara Three I’d been severely wounded by the explosion and so, after three months of intensive care, I died, a few minutes before the surgery took place that would have saved my life. Thats all you should know for now ‘cause thats not why we’re here. Want to come back to Mech?"

"Luek. I’d love to go back to Mech with you." Holly said

The seven travellers started planning and soon, they were ready.

"But why don’t you want us to come with you?" asked Serena

"Because we need people behind to protect against those monsters, and seven is already quite a big family. NO MORE ARGUEING." Luek commanded "Everyone ready to go?"

The Outers, Amy and Rini confirmed that they were ready to go. Luek pulled his Time-Space device and set it up.

"Oh and Luek! What is bad about opening up into a space-ripple?" Mina asked

"The universe will be destroyed by raw power!" Luek said casually. He pushed a button on the device, and a pitch black portal opened up above it.

"GOOD LUCK!!" called Serena to Luek.

Celia strode into the portal as if she was just walking through a door. Rini ran back, hugged Serena tightly and said "I’ll miss you mommy" then walked into the portal. Michelle peered into the portal and then hopped through the threshold. Amy walked around the rip twice, then was pushed in by Amara, who jumped in straight after. Holly walked up to Luek, gave him a peck on the cheek, then walked into the portal. Luek strode up to the portal, looked behind him and Serena saw his sad smile, and then he faced the portal, took a deep breath and walked into the portal. The device then folded up and went into its own portal. Serena walked up to where the portal had been and saw a tear drop right where Luek had been standing.

Kitai sent another wave of pure energy running through the universe, he was so angry. Luek was a creation that would not stay focussed, one second, destroying the Scouts, the next, helping them!! Kitai was so furious about it. At least his counterpart was still under control.

Dodrite was pleased. All the shuttlecraft had landed and they hadn’t been detected, the systems were operational and the youma were just awaiting the word to attack. Dodrite smiled, turned on his computer, and gave the order to attack.

"Y’know, I think the Negaverse is trying to take over Earth!" Raye said after killing yet another youma.

"I think you may be right!!" Lita replied "Fine time for Luek and the others to leave!" The others had stepped through the portal and not five minutes went by before all these youma started attacking. The Sailor Scouts had transformed and were now fighting wave after wave of youma. In ten minutes they got beaten to their knees, and then, Darien was dragged in.

"Hey Darien! What are you doing in this part of town?" Mina called.

"Just taking in the sights, and the WONDERFUL hospitality of the locals" Darien grunted "It looks like we’ve been beaten!"

"Hey you guys!" Serena exclaimed "The military is here!"

All the youma that were guarding them turned around and saw the Militia attacking. They screamed and attacked and were promptly killed. One of the soldiers came up to the Scouts and shot of their binders. He then explained "You guys better get on with saving the Earth. The entire planet is launching an offensive against the Negaverse"

Fighters were launched from underground facilities and they took off out of the Earth’s atmosphere to attack the Negaverse fleet. The planet had become a battlefield with humans and youma dying all around them.

"Well you heard the man!" Lita said "Lets save the world."

Luek and the group walked down the street, chatting loudly so as to appear like a family. After they got some clothes that suited Mech and they got a bite to eat, they went looking for a forge to upgrade the Scouts.

"Damn it! Last time I was here, you couldn’t turn your head without seeing a forge, and now, where have they all gone..." Luek kept groaning and mumbling to himself while Holly kept trying to get him to concentrate.

"Hey look, there’s a street directory!" Michelle exclaimed.

Luek was there instantly and looking through for a forge while he was talking softly to himself.

"Unfortunately there appears to be no forge within this region, so we’ll just go back to my apartment. I just hope that the landlord hasn’t cheated me." Luek strode east, and were stopped after a short time by two men, who leered at Celia and made crude comments.

"Y’know you guys, I really wouldn’t say things like that to her..." Luek warned.

"Shut your hole freak boy!" One of them ordered.

"FREAK BOY!?!!?!?! WHY I OUGHTA!!" Luek fumed.

While Luek stewed over the lack of respect, and what was the universe coming to, Celia walked over to them and said "I’m afraid I’m going to have to kill both of you" and snapped the man’s neck. The other guy ran but Celia jumped and landed in front of him. He fell to the ground, neck broken.

"Well done Celia. Now lets go!" Luek said. They walked and after a few hours, they found Lueks apartment block. They walked up to the door and Luek tore the notice from the door and read it aloud

"You now have two days to pay five hundred credits in rent. Failure to do so will result in eviction. That is all"

"Damn it I don’t have any money on me at the moment. Oh well, lets go in."

Luek pressed his thumb to the door plate and the door opened.

"God! This place is a dump!" Michelle complained.

"Well it was clean when I left" Luek protested

"And when was that?" Michelle challenged

"Two hundred odd years ago" Luek conceded. He walked to a pile of hardened mud and picked up a sledgehammer. He swung it at the pile and the mud crumbled away, leaving a computer terminal.

"I knew I left it somewhere!" He exclaimed, and typed in for a little bit. After a while, a wall dropped away, revealing a bench with quite a few gadgets on it.

"Rini, please give me the Crystal. Thank you. Amy, please come into the workshop with me." Luek and Amy walked into the space, and the wall closed behind them. At a loss, the others decided to poke around.

"I THINK I FOUND THE KITCHEN!!" yelled Amara.

everyone filed in and snacked on the well preserved food.

"I wonder what happened here after the second Mech revolt" Holly said to herself.

"What Mech revolt?" asked Celia

"Oh the second Mech revolt. It happened about a year after Luek got to Earth, and his wife died. The war was long and drawn out so I left but what I hear is that the good guys ended up putting a bomb in the reactor and cutting off the power supply to the Mechs. Nowadays they put behaviour inhibitors into all Mechs." Holly expanded.

While the others continued to talk, Luek was working on the upgrade.

"Amy could you please transform, I need to get an energy sample." Luek asked Amy. He pulled out a weird gadget and aimed it at her.

"Ok go!" He said

"MERCURY CRYSTAL POWER!!"

Luek fiddled with the machine and finally said "Ok I got it"

He bent over the workstation, where the Silver Imperium Crystal was rigged up to a small thing.

"Ok Amy. Say I had to increase the tri-capacitors’ reciprocal conversion rate to that of 550 and then hook the crystal up to it for a quick energy output increase. How would I go about it." Luek asked. Amy sighed and knew it was going to be a long day.

Dodrite screamed. "THEY AREN’T SUPPOSED TO DEFEND!! IT JUST ISN’T MEANT TO BE!!!"

Dodrite’s fleet was caught up in the battle for Earth. The Earth’s fighters were coming up against the Negaverse fighters and they were actually doing damage. Dodrite was then thrown out of his chair by an explosion that rocked the ship. He hit the wall and stood up. His head was bleeding.

"DAMAGE REPORT!!" He yelled

"Admiral, an Earth ship crashed into our weapons systems, we can’t fire. All the Negabombs were knocked lose and are floating about. We can repair one gun but the other seven will have to be replaced when we win. Also, the engines have been reduced to 25% operational status. We can’t move very fast. And last plus worst the Dematerialization system has been knocked out. We can’t leave the system."

"Damn. Repair the gun, divert all engine energy to particle shields and get the gunner droids up to replace what guns we can’t repair. As for the Demat system, repair it no matter what. We may need to leave and we need it to leave. Also, divert ten fighters to take out their communication satellites. That way they can’t speak to co-ordinate their attacks." Dodrite ordered. He turned to face the viewscreen and saw those wretched Sailor Scouts fighting against the Negaverse troops.

"MOON TIARA MAGIC" shouted Serena as the Tiara cut through youma.

"Y’know it’s almost like the Youma are never-ending. I wish we had Amy and the others here!" Lita exclaimed.

"Yeah!" Darien called back. He was impaling youma on his roses.

A youma to the left of them spat acid at a soldier and his face was hit. The soldier screamed in agony as his face melted and his body joined the others on the ground. Suddenly, the four monsters, Kimone, Zenith, Corin and Khyrador appeared.

"Time to settle the score, Scouts" Zenith remarked.

"Can you guys come back later? Please?" Raye asked.

"We will give you seventy two Earth hours. Then we return" Corin allowed. They vanished.

"That was strange!" Serena noted.

Luek and Amy came out of the workshop a few hours later and Luek went to his room. Amy went to the kitchen and asked what the time was.

"It’s 12:47am. Where’s Luek?" asked Holly.

"He’s in his room, is there anything to eat?" Amy asked

Holly got up and went to Lueks’ room.

"Well there are some weird meats here, this one tastes like steak" Celia said, indicating the one on her plate. Amy got one from the frying pan and ate.

"It actually tastes like sandwiches to me" Amy said.

They ate in silence and Holly entered Luek’s room.

"Hey Luek?" Holly called "How are you?"

"Exhausted." Luek replied

"Ahh well"

Holly took up a spot on Luek’s bed and she laid down beside him.

"I have been working since nine p.m. and now I get a beautiful woman lay down beside me. The day was worth it!" Luek teased

"You old pervert" Holly giggled "How many women have you said that to in your billions of years of life?"

"None actually" Luek sighed "only you"

"You miss her, don’t you?" Holly asked "Nicole"

"I wish I’d never come back here. It holds too many memories" Luek turned to face her, put his head on her chest, and he cried. Holly stroked his head and tried to comfort him.

"Holly?" Luek said

"Yes, Luek?"

"I love you!" He continued crying and Holly continued to stroke his hair, but she was stunned.

"I promised myself that I would never feel love again after Nicole died, but I was always in love with you. You were such a beautiful person, compassionate and understanding. You were second to Nicole while she lived, but now she is dead, I have had nowhere else to go, but to memories of you!" Luek sobbed.

Holly knew that Luek would never had been unfaithful to Nicole, and he had loved her with all his heart. But the Negaverse had ruined all that, and they had gotten what they deserved.

The next morning, Luek was already in the workshop. Celia had decided to explore the city, Michelle and Amara were in the kitchen cooking and Holly was still asleep. Amy was just waking up when Luek called for her.

"Hey Amy! Can you come in here and help me?"

Amy sighed and opened the workshop. Luek was kicking one of his contraptions and electricity shot out hit him between the eyes.

"Bastard machine!! Must be broken DAMN IT!!" he kicked it again, and part of the machine broke off.

"Ahhhh Amy, you’re here. Today we gotta work on balancing the power output/input so we can stabilise the crystal upgrade. We’ll need more transformation energy from you however so please transform. Where’s Rini?" Luek asked, having noticed her absence.

"I don’t know! HEY GUYS!! WHERE’S RINI?!??" Amy yelled.

Nobody knew.

"Ohhhhh S**T!!" Luek swore "This is a mighty big city, and Rini could be A-N-Y-W-H-E-R-E!!"

"We’ve gotta find her!" Amy said "She didn’t go with Celia did she?"

"No she didn’t!" Luek then uttered a string of words to put a sailor to shame.

"Let’s look for her" Holly suggested

"Don’t you remember how big this city is??!? Here’s a fresher. Men have been lost for years in this town. Luckily we’ve only got, oh about a five square kilometre radius. That’s assuming she didn’t go underground or got picked up by some sleazebags who would do things that would make those guys yesterday gasp!" Luek finished his rant. "Lets hurry!!" He ran out the door. The others followed.

"C’mon little girl, you’d better get naked quick! Don’t make us hurt you!" One sleazebag ordered Rini.

"NO!" Rini resisted. She shot off her beam and Luek, who had been nearby, saw it and called the others.

"That’s it, tie her down" The second Sleaze said. There were about twenty people in the room so any attempt made at escape would be futile.

"I’m gonna enjoy this!" The first S/B said, leaning over her.

The wall blasted in and the Outer Scouts plus Luek were there.

"And I’m gonna enjoy killing you all!" Luek proclaimed.

"Get those freaks!!" The sleaze commanded "I want to have some fun."

"You just don’t get the point do you?" Luek sighed and charged at the man, who was undoing Rini’s jacket. He jumped, and kicked the man into a wall.

"Ok Rini, did they actually manage to do anything to you?" Luek asked while untying her.

"No but you got here just in time!" Rini looked over Luek’s shoulder and saw the Outer scouts killing the other disgusting men.

"Excuse me for a second" Luek said to Rini. He walked over to the first guy that he’d knocked away and he pulled out a Mira-Taoi.

"Let’s see if this can find anything good in you" Luek growled, then plunged it deep into his chest. The man died instantly and Luek walked away, leaving the Mira-Taoi sticking out of the man.

"Let’s go home" Luek advised, and the others agreed.

Back on Earth the Sailor Scouts had been fighting non-stop for two days. They were starting to run low on energy and Lita’s transformation had already turned itself off. The Scouts ran back to Raye’s temple and rested.

"Jeez, those youma are non-stop!" Serena complained

"I know!! I wonder where they are all being made" Mina said

"Maybe thats what we should try to find out?" Lita asked

"I wish the others were here!" Raye sighed.

On the Negaverse Reborn, things were beginning to look up. It turned out that two of the guns were repairable and the engines were back up to 50%. Of course they couldn’t regain the lost Negabombs but it did serve to make an effective minefield. And some of the bombs were falling back to Earth, meaning that they were losing them because they were burning up in the atmosphere. On the viewscreens, fighting was taking place all over the planet, wherever youma had been landed.

"Commaster, please inform the command ship, High Flyer to release a Negabomb into the fray, we may lose a few pilots and fighters but nothing that isn’t replaceable" Dodrite ordered.

A Negabomb floated into the battlefield. An explosion took place, but Earth’s fighters were seen zipping out before the explosion. One Earth Fighter was destroyed.

"Blast!!!" Dodrite screamed. The Earth Fighters turned their attention on the capital ships of the Nega fleet.

"ADMIRAL!! We are receiving heavy fire from the Earth ships. Send reinforcements, repeat send rein....." The signal from the High Flyer cut off suddenly and an explosion blinded Dodrite.

"Admiral Dodrite. We have lost the High Flyer and all hands onboard. Thats 20050 men"

"Shit! Release all the fighters" Dodrite commanded, then hundreds and hundreds of Negafighters were released from all the ships of the fleet.

On Earth, the youma were all destroyed, at the cost of most of the soldiers. Those who were left were running important systems.

"Captain, we have the Ion Cannon operational."

"Thank you Private. Corporal, fire the Ion Cannon"

There was a blast of energy, and a beam fired from the cannon. Instantly the return fire destroyed the cannon.

The Sailor Scouts were back at the temple after helping to destroy the last of the youma, and were drinking sodas.

"You know, I didn’t think those youma would stop coming for a second there!" Lita laughed.

"I know what you mean, we were pretty worked there." Mina agreed.

"Mail for Serena!!" came a call from outside "This one’s long distance!"

Serena went out and came back in with a letter that was completely covered with three layers of postage stamps. Upon opening it, they found a holographic projector.

"It’s from Luek?!" Serena choked.

"Activate it!!!" Came the reply from everyone.

"’Kay!"

A message showed up before the hologram started:

Luek appeared in the air with everyone in the background, waving.

"Hiya guys! Well, we’re here! Did you guys know how much it costs to send something to Earth from Mech? A FRIGGIN FORTUNE!! I’ll be working in a kitchen for a while, and we now have no money. I’m fine, and so are the others" The others yelled "HI!!" and Luek continued.

"Me and Amy have been working on the upgrade for you guys, but we’re stuck on the vibration rate of the Quad-Capacitor. We are trying to... ohhhh forget it, the point is we’re stuck." Holly yelled something and Luek groaned. Holly just walked up and knocked Luek down. "Owwww!!" Holly kept holding him down as he tried to get up and talk again.

"Hey guys! Luek didn’t want to tell you this Serena... STAY DOWN LUEK!!.. But Rini was abducted yesterday by... LUEK!! IF YOU DON’T STAY DOWN!! Thats better. Anyway, Rini was abducted by a group of twenty child rapists. We got there before anything happened, but now we have every sod on the planet after our blood. They must flock together or something." Holly punched Lueks head as it got into view. His head disappeared, and their was a thud. Holly was pulled from sight and the pair were seen wrestling on the ground. Rini took up where they left off. "Hi Mommy!! It’s really interesting over here, I just wish you could come. I miss you. But they do have ice-cream over here and we went to a funpark yesterday, on the spare time Luek found. We had a great time." Rini looked over her shoulder at the fighting pair, and turned back around. "Mommy, Celia wants to talk, I love you!" Celia walked up and started speaking. "Greetings, princess. By now you’ve heard most of the important information, so here’s some less important stuff. Luek has now been the victim of seven explosions, each time Amy was thankfully out of the room. Holly and Luek keep fighting over the most trivial things, as you can see in the background." Luek was pulling at Holly’s hair and Holly was biting Luek’s arm. "And we now have a Luek-shaped sunroof after one of the previously mentioned explosions. Luek has lost his temper a few times and we have lost the use of some of the appliances. Thankfully we still have the portal generator. We took it from him when he destroyed the blender. I thought it safest." Luek and Holly rolled and knocked down Celia. They then rolled away and got up when she started to chase them. Rini giggled and moved the recorder to show Luek run THROUGH the wall and Holly dash THROUGH the door. The two holes in the wall and door made Serena laugh. Celia then opened the door and ran down the hall after them. Amara then turned the recorder back to facing her and spoke into the machine.

"Hey! Those three have been at it all our stay. Luek and Holly mostly. I think they might have something going on there. They keep reminiscing about the Mech wars or the Crystal hunt and other stuff we know NOTHING about. Have you had any fights with Negamonsters lately? We haven’t had much to do whilst Amy and Luek work on the crystals, so we explore while they do their thing. Hang on, Amy wants to speak. Here you go Ames!" Amy started speaking.

"Hey Serena! Did you know that Luek is smarter than he looks? He is probably my intellectual equal, although it’s not really a surprise, seeing as he has been here since the beginning of time. Although even he doesn’t have all the answers. That was what surprised me, You’d think that being alive for all of time would make you pretty smart, yet his only a little more intelligent than me. Maybe he is hiding some of his smarts, so he can appear inconspicuous wherever he goes. Or maybe he just pays less attention than you do in class Serena. Anyhow, despite the explosions, he seems fine, although what happens when Celia gets her hands on him and Holly, I don’t want to know about. All we see is her taking them into a room, closing the door, and then we hear the pair scream. Other than that, none of us want to think about!" Celia walked back into the room, holding the two by the ears.

"Serena, I don’t really think you want to hear what happens next, so we’re just gonna hang up now!"

"Well, they aren’t dead, or in much trouble, but I think Luek and Holly could be in for a little!" Serena said.

"I just want to know how long until they finish the upgrade, we could be in for some trouble if the Awesome Foursome show up again!" Raye groaned.

"Yeah!" Mina agreed

KABOOM!!!! The door of the workshop opened and a black and charred Luek walked out. Amy had just gotten up and had been about to open the workshop door when it happened.

"Note to self" Luek said while he was wobbling "Never kick an explosive device to relieve one’s stress" With that he fell flat on his face. The others blatantly ignored this, the eighth explosion, as a daily occurrence. Luek slowly got up, and went into the bathroom. The others heard him turn on the shower. Amy shook her head, and walked into the workshop, holding the Mech equivalent of coffee. She looked over the burnt room and tried to discover where Luek was up to before the explosion. She found the Crystal, the only non-black thing in the room. Also a piece of paper (Mech had remarkably durable paper) lying next to it. She looked at the diagram on it, and put the crystal in the holder for the Power Matrix Machine. She had learnt alot during her stay, and she knew how to operate this machine. She flipped a bank of switches, and the light above ON/OFF switched to green. She then proceeded to type in a series of commands, and the danger button blinked on. Amy frowned, this wasn’t meant to happen. She typed in COMPUTER, DANGER IS INDICATED IN THIS PROCEEDURE. EXPAND UPON.

The computer immediately replied. "Warning. By continuing upon this procedure, the Crystal, which has been flagged as important, could be destroyed. Options: Remove important flag on Crystal, Try different procedure, continue anyway."

Amy typed TRY DIFFERENT PROCEEDURE and thought hard. She typed for a little more and the Danger button again blinked on.

COMPUTER, WHAT IS WRONG THIS TIME? Luek had good right to lose his temper!

"Warning. By continuing upon this procedure, the city, which has been flagged as important, could be destroyed. Options: Remove important flag on crystal, Try different procedure, continue anyway."

Amy typed in: TRY DIFFERENT PROCEEDURE. Amy didn’t know how Luek had managed what he did. A red light on the wall flashed and a voice came from the speaker: "WARNING! WARNING! UNAUTHORISED USER ALONE IN WORKSHOP! NOW PROCEEDING UPON CAPTURE ROUTINE 035. THANK YOU!"

"Uh oh" Amy gulped.

Energy beams created a cage around Amy. The beams closed in until Amy couldn’t move without getting zapped. She sighed, this was better than the Tranquilliser and net capture that had happened last time. It looked like Luek hadn’t put her into the Authorised Users list yet.

"HELLO!!" Amy called "SOMONE WANT TO HELP ME OUT OF HERE??? PLEASE??" Nobody replied and Amy remembered that they had told her they were going out for a little bit.

"Ahhhh!" Luek yelled. He got out, he dressed and went to his workshop.

"Well Amy, what seems to be the problem?" Luek asked, not even looking in her direction.

"Luek. Look at me!" Amy advised. Luek looked and saw Amy in the cage.

"Oh I dunno, I kinda like you in there." Luek teased.

"NEW USER: AMY MIZUNO" The computer said

"’bout time. Let’s get to work." Amy groaned at the thought of tackling this again.

The two took up computer terminals for themselves and got to work.

After about three hours, they decided to stop and have a coffee break. Luek set the jug, and he picked up a comic book. Amy looked at the cover and saw ‘Sailor Moon’ on the cover. Luek was ageless, and he still reads comic books. Amy just sat and waited for the jug to boil, one of the few surviving appliances in the house!

The jug clicked and Luek poured it into two cups. He drank his coffee and walked back to the workshop. As he wasn’t watching where he was going, he missed the doorway and hit the wall. Amy giggled a little and went in after him.

Despite the fact that the current ground-based youma had been destroyed, the fresh batch was ready to go. Dodrite was down in the Creation deck to oversee the youma’s birth. He punched in his authorisation code, and entered the room.

"Ahhh Admiral! The new batch is complete, and these are smarter, and more powerful than the last batch. These should completely plough through the Earthlings."

"They had better. After all, it’s not their lives I’m worried about. IT’S YOURS!" Dodrite left on that note and the trembling man turned back to the computer.

Dodrite was furious at the failures. The Negaverse combined forces had lost 2/3 of the fighters and all of the youma on the ground. These losses were not easy to sustain, and soon, they would be out of resources.

Dodrite reached the bridge and made his order.

"Send down the droids!"

The Sailor Scouts were now under attack from Negadroids, who didn’t feel any pain. Raye’s fire had very little effect on them, although the others had more success. The droids were coming in waves of hundreds and Amy’s water power would have helped a whole lot, at least to rust up some of them.

"MOON SCEPTRE ELIMINATION!!"

"VENUS LOVE & BEAUTY SHOCK!!"

"MARS FLAME SNIPER IGNITE!!!"
"JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!!"

The beams ploughed through some of the Droids, deflected of others and were absorbed by still others. That was it, after countless hours, the energy ran out and they detransformed. Suddenly, they received a message in their head saying that Ki smiled upon them. They were transformed back and had full energy.

"We were in trouble for a second there. Thank god Ki restored our energy." Mina said.

"Now lets get on with it!"

"MOON SCEPTRE ELIMINATION!!"

"JUPITER OAK EVOLUTION!!"
"MARS FLAME SNIPER IGNITE!!"

"VENUS LOVE AND BEAUTY SHOCK!!"

"MOON TIARA MAGIC!!"

"MARS FIRE IGNITE!!"

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!"

"VENUS CRESCENT BEAM SMASH!!"

"MARS FIREBIRD STRIKE!!"

"MOON SPIRAL HEARTACHE!!"

"JUPITER THUNDER DRAGON!!"
"VENUS METEOR SHOWER!!"

All this continued until, every droid was dead. A good thing to, since their power ran out again. They headed back to Raye’s temple for a rest.

"WHAT DO YOU MEAN, INVALID CALL NUMBER!!!" Luek yelled at the computer "SON OF A BITCH!!!" Luek kicked the computer twice for good measure.

"LUEK!! WOULD YOU CALM DOWN!" Holly screamed. Luek lunged at her and knocked her to the ground, and the pair started to wrestle again while hurling abuse at each other.

"DON’T TELL ME TO CALM DOWN!!"

"WHY NOT YOU IDIOT!?!"
"IDIOT! WHY I OUGHTA"

"OUGHTA WHAT LUEK? YOU CAN’T EVEN GO THROUGH WITH A THREAT!!"
"YOU ARE ASKING FOR IT DEVIL WOMAN!!"
"HOW DARE YOU CALL ME DEVIL WOMAN??"
"I DON’T LIE Y’KNOW!!"
"THAT’S IT! YOU ASKED FOR IT!!!"

As a cloud of dust engulfed the fighting pair the others just went on with normal life.

"Hey Michelle! Do we have any food left?" asked Rini

"No! We’re eating the last of it for breakfast." Michelle replied.

"Well, I haven’t been out of the house for a while, so I’ll go get some food" Amy volunteered.

"I’ll go with you, I know where the shop is" Celia said.

As the two walked down the street, they noticed that there was more hustle and bustle around the city. They got to the shop, and saw the advertisement. It was all in Mech but Amy remembered it all through getting the food and getting home. When they did get back to Lueks apartment, Amy wrote down the entire thing to the inkdot.

"Luek! What does this sign say? If you can pull yourself away from fighting with Holly for five minutes?" Amara asked.

Luek pulled out of the stranglehold that Holly had him in and walked over to the table.

"Oh that? Thats for the Festival of the Rising Moon!" Luek said "The moon on Mech only rises each twenty years, so they have a festival for it. They’re usually a lot of fu...ahhh" Luek was cut off as Holly pulled him by his hair to the centre of the room, then tied him to the roof, in a straightjacket.

"YOU JUST WAIT UNTILL I GET DOWN FROM HERE HOLLY!!" Luek roared.

"Luckily I’ve been studying Houdini." Luek said, and got out of the straightjacket. The rope, however, was strong, and unbreakable in fact.

"Uh. A little help?" Luek asked.

An hour later. . .

"Please! Help!" Luek called.

Amy walked into the room.

"What are you doing Luek?" Amy sighed

"Oh just, hanging around. Could you untie this knot?" Luek asked.

"Sure. Just a little more"

"Ahhhh." THUMP
Luek got up off the ground, holding his head.

"Ugh" He groaned.

"Luek. When is the Festival?" asked Amy.

"Oh. It’s tomorrow" Luek replied

"Are we going to go?" Amy questioned

"Well since we aren’t making any progress with the upgrade, I guess we may as well!" Luek groaned again "Bu I think I’d better sleep first, my head is killing me" With that he went into his room, and saw, for some inexplicable reason, Holly, in his bed, asleep.

"Oh man. I knew something would happen." Luek sighed, pushed Holly over a little, and got in.

"Good night"

Serena went home. She was sick of fighting youma for the time, so she just left the battlefield. When she got home, the place looked as messy as her room, without the bunny slippers. Her family was hiding under a table.

"SERENA!! YOU’RE SAFE!!" Her mother cried.

"Where have you been Serena?" Her father asked.

"Out with my friends" Serena said. She wasn’t lying.

"Didn’t you know that there’s a war on?" asked Sammy.

"OHHH So THATS what that was! I THOUGHT IT WAS A CONCERT!!" Serena replied sarcastically. She walked up to her room, and went to sleep. In her dream, she saw Luek. He spoke.

"Serena. This is the only time I could get to talk to you. This is urgent. We can’t finish the upgrade. There are too many variables. There is too much explosive power in my devices to successfully rig an upgrade. I will continue to try. Just know that this is not a dream, it is a sending."

"Luek! Wait!" Serena called in her dream, but he vanished and Serena woke up with Raye shaking her.

"WAKE UP SERENA!!" She yelled.

"Wha- I’m awake!" Serena exclaimed.

"You were talking in your sleep, What was the dream about?"

"Luek. He was sending me a message. He said that he can’t create the upgrade, but he’ll keep trying.

"Damn!" Raye said.

"I think we’ll have to defeat the four ourselves."
"Crud!!" Raye cursed.

The pair walked out of the house and met up with the others. As if on cue, the four monsters appeared.

"Ready?" Corin asked

"We’ve given you too much time already" Zenith crooned.

"Let’s rumble!" Raye challenged "MARS STAR POWER!!"

"JUPITER STAR POWER!!"
"VENUS STAR POWER!!"
"MOON CRYSTAL POWER!!"

"EVIL MOON POWERUP!!" The monsters screamed.

The combatants faced each other.

"I will destroy the Moon Princess." Corin yelled "Decide the rest amongst yourself!"
"I, Zenith, will destroy Jupiter’s Mistress!"

"Kimone will eradicate The Sailor of Love"

"Khyrador will be the one to blast the Firery one into oblivion!"

That sorted out, the two teams attacked. Lita jumped and kicked Zenith in the face. He countered with a lightning bolt to Lita’s abdomen. Mina delivered an uppercut to Kimone’s stomach and as he flew, he dropped rocks which Mina had a hard time dodging. Raye connected with a ten hit combo on Khyrador, and he was sent flying.

"Combination!!!" Yelled Corin. Zenith created a lightning ball. Kimone pulled a boulder. Khyrador got up and created a ball of darkness. Corin created a horn in his hand.

"ATTACK!!!" Yelled the monsters, and their powers floated from them and combined into one huge ball.

"GOOOOO!!!!" and the ball flew at the Scouts. It floated swiftly, and separated into four balls, which ploughed through each of the Scouts, and then reformed above them and exploded. The Scouts flew in different directions and were stopped by various solid objects. Darien appeared as Tuxedo Mask.

"A day isn’t complete without light, and this fight won’t be complete until the Sailor Scouts have won!" He spouted.

"You’re confident, Mask Boy!" cried Corin.

"Haven’t you observed the fight!?" asked Khyrador. Behind the monsters, Sailor Moon got up, and the Moon Sceptre appeared in her hand.

"Moon Sceptre Elimination!" She said quietly.

The beam flew at Corin, who turned around and saw it coming. The beam hit and Corin screamed.

"AHHHHHHHH!!" and he vanished.

"You killed Corin!" Khyrador said in shock.

"You deserve a medal!" Kimone announced.

"And you’ll get one!" confirmed Zenith

"If you kill us all!" Corin laughed, and appeared behind the Scouts.

"BOO!!" He cackled, and blasted Serena to the ground. The other Scouts struggled to get back up, but Zenith blasted them with lightning and they fell back to the ground.

"All too easy!" giggled Khyrador. Suddenly a voice filled the sky.

"Sailor Scouts. I have finished. Get up and I will transport you here to upgrade!"

"It’s that pesky Luek. YOU WON’T TAKE AWAY THESE SCOUTS!!" Khyrador yelled. The scouts got up, and a brilliant light overtook them. When the light vanished, they were gone.

"NOOOOO!!!" screeched Corin.

Luek and Amy were working on the computers when Amy shouted.

"EUREKA!!"
"What!!" Luek asked

"I’ve discovered how to fit the upgrade!" Amy explained "Look at the screen, I’ll send you the data!"
Luek’s screen filled with lines of writing and, after reading it all, agreed.

"Yeah, I see how this could work. By decreasing the conversion rate on the Tri-conduit in this sector, the energy could get more readily to the Pens or the Locket. The only problem is it won’t last you long. Two or so uses and it’ll meltdown and leave no trace. You’ll still have use of the Pen’s afterwards anyway, just not the upgrade. I’ll work on more permanent means, you make the devices. Just remember that Serena’s will have to have a green, not red, wire in the first sector. Wait! We’ll go to the Festival first!"

"Yes." Amy said "Lets tell the others to get ready."

Luek opened the workshop door and went to his room, where Holly was still sleeping. He giggled and went to the alarm clock. He fiddled a little, and the alarm went off.

"BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP BEEP!!" When that failed to wake her, he went to the kitchen, and got a bucket of water that he’d been saving for just such an occasion. It had been stored in the freezer. He went back to his room, put a rubber sheet under Holly, without waking her up, and poured.

"AAAIIIEEEEE!!!!" Holly screamed as she jumped out of bed, and ran into the shower.

"Heh heh heh!" Luek sniggered.

"AAAAIIIIIEEEEEE!!!" Holly screamed again, as the red dye that he’d put into the showerhead was discovered. Holly ran and jumped into the bath.

"Hah Hah Hah!" Luek laughed.

"AIIIIIIEEE!!" Holly screeched, and the slimy creatures, native to Mech, jumped out of the bath. About an hour later, Holly came out of the bathroom, glaring.

"BAH HAH HAH HAH HAH HAH!!!" Luek roared

"I’ll show you Luek!!" Holly proclaimed.

Outside the building, where the rest of the Outers, and Rini were about to go in, they were startled by the sound of breaking glass, a scream, and a body falling into their group. Upon examination, It was Luek who started getting up, groggily.

"Wow!" Rini exclaimed "Right from the 50th story!"

"You don’t know the half of it, that was unbreakable glass. Ugh! Shall we go in?" asked Luek.

The group walked back into the building, Luek with a headache, and went up to the apartment.

"Holly!" Amara asked "What did you do with your hair?"

"Luek put red dye in the showerhead. AFTER pouring icy water all over me, then after the dye, I jumped into the bath and there were frog things in there!" Holly explained.

"Heh heh!" Luek quietly laughed.

Holly glared at Luek.

"Anyway, I woke Holly up so that we could go to the Festival, You guys coming too?" Luek asked.

"Sure we’ll come. When are we going?" asked Michelle

"Now. I might, however, make a stopover in a medical facility of some sort. Ugh!!" Luek called Amy and she came out.

"Everyone ready? Good, now lets go." Luek commanded, and they were off.

They decided to walk, so as they could take in some of the sights. Luek pointed out important places for them, and they stopped for some ice-cream (at Rini’s request) and after about an hour, they arrived at the festival.

"Rini. I want you to wear this." Luek said, and handed her a small device. "Put it under your collar, this way I can find you anywhere you go. Now, here’s fifty credits, go enjoy yourself."

Rini ran off, smiling.

"Ok, now that Rini is happy, what shall the growned up people do?" Luek asked.

"Let’s go for a roller coaster!" Holly suggested.

"You can, I think I’ll cruise the stalls" Amara said. She and Michelle walked off.

"I think I’ll sample some Virtual Reality" Celia stated, and walked off.

"And I’ll just sit down and work on the upgrades!" Amy sat down.

"Oh well, it’s just us to go play on the roller-coaster." Luek strolled cheerfully towards the biggest roller-coaster in the park. Once they were all strapped in, the ride slowly began.

"They have virtual reality stuff for this, but nothing compares to the real THIIIIIIINNNNNGGGGGG!!!" His last word was drawn out by the abrupt hill, which was what really started the ride. They went over hills, down drops, straight up, straight down, loops and went for about half a mile upside-down. Luek, acting like a kid, had to yell "WEEEEE!!" the entire thing. The ride was finally over, and the pair, disoriented and sick, wobbled off the ride, and sat down next to Amy.

"Whoa!! Amy, you gotta loosen up a little. Have some fun, it’s why we’re here!" Luek exclaimed. "Not all of life is designed to be work."

Luek and Holly walked off, and browsed the stalls. They eventually met up with Amara and Michelle.

"Hey guys!" Michelle called.

"Hey yourself!" Holly called back.

"Find any good bargains?" Luek asked.

"Nah! We were just about to buy this sweater, though" Amara said.

"And you want some money off me?" Luek predicted

"No! I just want to know how much this is in Earth money!" Amara protested.

"Ahhh! You come from Earth?? Then I can make a deal with you that you won’t want to miss!" The vendor exclaimed. He went under the desk, and came up with an old style pistol. The inscription on the side said: Billy The Kid.

"Pass! I would, although, kill for a newspaper." Luek said. "Latest Earth edition"

"Oh! Ok, I can do that too!" the vendor hurried. He went back under and came out with a newspaper. The headline was:
EXTRA! EXTRA! NEGAVERSE INVADES EARTH, MILLIONS OF SOLDIERS KILLED!

"Shit!" Luek swore.

"Crap!!" Holly cursed

"Ok we have to help them" Luek said "Amy, Holly, you guys come back to my place, the rest of the group can stay here!" Luek ran back for his apartment, with the other two tagging closely behind. When they arrived, Luek started speaking to Holly.

"Holly. Remember our little stunt on Relis 14? Reckon we can do that with 4 people instead of one this time?" Luek asked

"We can, but we’ll only be able to keep them here for about one minute." Holly replied.

"Thats all we need. Amy, let’s work on the upgrades before we bring the Scouts here."
"Already working."

About five hours later, the upgrades were complete.

"Ok Holly, get ready." Luek said

"Where’s the Coin Luek?" Holly asked

"AHHHH!! The Coin!!" Luek screamed

"You had to pick now to lose the Coin!!" Holly exclaimed.

Luek got on his hands and knees and looked for the coin.

"AH HAH!! I knew this sandwich was here somewhere!" Luek cried. Holly sighed and smashed him on the head with the sledgehammer Luek had left by the computer console when they’d gotten here the first time.

"Urrrgggh. Down I go!" He moaned and fell. His eyes fell under the couch and he saw the Coin there!

"FOUND THE COIN!!" Luek exclaimed. "Let’s go!"

"Gotcha. SATURN CRYSTAL POWER!!" Holly cried.

"MECH!! ELEMENTAL COIN!! POWERON!!!!" Luek cried after her.

Holly transformed. Lueks transformation took a different approach. He held the Coin above his head and flame covered his hand for two seconds, and when it was gone, a pair of crimson gloves adorned his hand, with studs on the back of the palm. He took the Coin in both hands and moved them in front of his body. He let the Coin go and it attached to his cheast and flame over-took his body again, then vanished. His cheast was now adorned with body armour, then a white shirt appeared on his cheast, then a black vest. He crossed his arms across his cheast and flames covered his legs. As the flame vanished, his legs were in a pair of army jeans and his feet had a pair of spiked black boots.

"May Technology be my ally, I am Nitro Mech. Power on!!" He chanted.

Amy was surprised.

"Impressive!" Amy noted.

"Ok Holly, you lead, I’ll follow" Luek instructed.

"Fine. DEATH REBIRTH REVOLUTION!" She cried.

"MECH BREAKDOWN BEAM!!!" Luek cast.

The two energy weapons fused in midair, creating a portal. Luek walked in front of it and spoke.

"Sailor Scouts. I have finished. Get up and I will transport you here to upgrade!"

The porthole vanished and he stood where it had been.

"Mech Instant Transportation!" He yelled

The Scouts appeared.

"Hi guys. Amy give them their upgrades, Serena the crystal, and hold onto someone because you’re going with them. Seeya later!" Luek ordered.

Amy handed out the upgrades and only just grabbed hold of Serena when they all vanished.

"Well." Luek said

"Now what?" Holly asked.

The minute that the Scouts got back, they were besieged be the four monsters.

"AMY!! How do you use these things?" screamed Serena

"You yell Moon Upgrade Power." She yelled back

"MERCURY MECH-UPGRADE POWER!!"

"MARS MECH-UPGRADE POWER!!"

"VENUS MECH-UPGRADE POWER!!"

"JUPITER MECH-UPGRADE POWER!!"

"MOON UPGRADE POWER!!"

The transformations were much the same, and except for the metal edges on everything, the suits were also the same. An addition was the resurrection devices appearing in the hair of every Scout.

"Let’s go!" Raye challenged

"Ha ha ha ha!" laughed Corin

The fight began.

"MERCURY!! AQUA!! EXPLOSION!!" Amy yelled. Instantly the new power worked. A funnel of water engulfed Kimone, and he was thrown up into the air seconds later. The funnel followed him, surrounded him again, and exploded. Kimone screamed and fell back to the ground.

"Mercury! How’d you know how to do that?" Serena asked, dumbfounded.

"The words just come to your mind. Listen to them." Amy advised.

"Then let me try this." Raye said "MARS!! FLAME-BIRD!! FLY!!!"
Instantly, out of the clouds a gigantic phoenix flew down and, under Raye’s direction, crashed straight into Zenith. The phoenix separated into fifty smaller birds and they crashed into him again. Zenith, who was charred completely black, crashed to the ground.

"Cool! My turn." Lita insisted. "JUPITER!! MEGABOLT-LIGHTNING!! CRASH!!!" Her tiara gathered energy and Lita aimed her hands at Khyrador. The minute she did so, a giant yellow ball generated on top of the antennae, and it raised, then rolled at Khyrador unstoppably. Khyrador turned and ran, but the ball kept rolling. It hit and Khyrador disintegrated.

"Hey Venus, let’s go double team!" Serena said.

"Ok"
"VENUS!! LOVE BEAM!! PARYLYZE!!!" Venus chanted.

Serena started a speech.

"Powers of the Moon, gather and mix. Bubble and roil and twist reality. EARTH! MECH! Lend me your moons and their powers!" Serena began the attack.

"RISING! MOON! POWERS! COLIDE!!!" She screamed.

"I’ll be back Scouts!" He yelled. The remaining monsters plus Corin vanished.

"Yeah!!" exclaimed Lita. "These powers work cool!"

Serena just gaped. There had been an empty apartment block behind Corin. It, and everything behind it, was gone from her attack.

"We should probably go to our respectful homes" Amy said. "I haven’t had a decent nights sleep since I left."

"Well let’s go. I made an excuse that you were sleeping at my place, and that you wouldn’t be back for a while. Stay at my place for one more night." Lita advised.

The five Sailor Scouts left.

"Well Holy, we should probably make our way back to Earth soon." Luek said. "While I’d love to stay here on Mech, there are just too many things I want to escape from."

"Yeah!" Holly agreed "We can’t stay here. I belong on Earth, you belong on Earth, we just can’t stay here"

"You’re wrong, I should stay here" Luek sadly argued "But I can’t. For some reason, I am drawn back to Earth. I am destined to never find my home again. My premonitions show that I am destined to forever guard and protect the Scouts."

"I wonder why you cannot find rest. Why you are cursed to forever roam the galaxy. I am Sailor Pluto, and I cannot think how time could have doomed you to this, if it even was time" Celia stated.

"It may be because of the First Sin" Holly noted.

"What is the First Sin?" asked Michelle.

"The First Sin is where me and Holly first met. I was involved in a fight with the last of the Magus race. It was before time began and was done to the wire, and I summoned the Elemental Axe which finally defeated him. As he fell, he cursed me, saying ‘live forever without home’ and from there everything went wrong. The killing of that race, the Magus who created the universe, is now known as the First Sin." Luek explained.

"Heavy!" Amara groaned. "So how are we getting home?"

"I would think we’d use the Portal machine" Luek said

"Well Duh!" groaned Holly "You’re a smart one!"

"HEY! If it wasn’t for me, you’d still be on Earth, instead of helping the Scouts"
"Ohhhh! NOW! I respect you!" Holly mocked.

"WHY YOU!!" Luek yelled

"BRING IT ON!!" Holly taunted

"MECH ELEMENTAL COIN!! POWERON!!"

"SATURN CRYSTAL POWER!!"

After the pair transformed, they started their fight. Luek kept dodging the Glaive and Holly had to avoid his lightning fast punches.

"THATS IT! MECH BREAKDOWN BEAM!!" Luek raised his hand in the air, two centre fingers down, thumb forward. He lowered his hand and the beam flew at Holly. She was blasted through the wall. Luek jumped down after her. The Outers rushed to the hole in the wall and watched the two fight. They hadn’t fought with their powers before.

"Silence Glaive Surprise!"
The silence occurred, but Luek jumped high and the explosion passed harmlessly underneath.

"MECH BUZZSAW DISC!!" yelled Luek and threw the brown disc at Holly. She batted it back with her Glaive and then screamed "Death Reborn Revolution!" And the ribbons flew at Luek.

"MECH TECHNOLOGICAL RIFT!!" He exclaimed and slammed his hands together. The hole appeared and the ribbons were absorbed.

"MECH INSTANT TRANSPORTATION!" And he teleported behind Holly.

"MECH BREAKDOWN BEAM!"

Holly defended "Silence Wall" she yelled and the beam smashed back into Luek. He flew back, screaming "MECH BINDING!"
The cuffs restrained her but Luek had forgotten that she knew the unlock password. She said the words and the binders fell off.

"Silence Glaive Surprise!" And it headed for Luek, still on the ground.

"Mech Instan. . . Arrrgghhh!" He was hit and he rolled into a tree and didn’t move.

"YAY! I won! I won!" Holly laughed. "You let your guard down Luek!"

Luek vanished and appeared standing up in his apartment, muttering that he needed to have some sleep. He detransformed and repaired the wall behind him.

"Well Holly, you finally beat him in a fight. From what you’ve told me, this would be a first." Amara said

"Yeah, but he was distracted by something, I can tell." Holly noted, absently looking off into space. The fight had actually lasted quite a while and it was now dark.

"It brings memories of the Blood Scou. . . Nevermind" Holly recovered.

"No, what!" Amara pressed.

"I don’t know If I should tell you. . ." Holly trailed off.

"I think you should!" Amara argued.

"I’ll have to ask Luek." Holly ran back into the apartment block, detransforming.

"Weird girl!" Amara shook her head and strolled in after her.

Later that night, just after dinner, the Outers, minus Holly plus Rini were discussing Holly’s obvious slip up.

"She is hiding something, and I want to know what!" Amara stated simply.

"I’ll admit it is suspicious but. . ." Michelle was cut off by Amara again.

"Damn right it’s suspicious, what is going on is what I want to know!" Amara said stubbornly.

"Why is it so special?" Rini asked.

"Why are you here?" asked Michelle

"Well, Luek and Holly told me to come out here because they were going to bed. I think that Holly must’ve forgotten where her bedroom is though" Rini said innocently.

"Why?" asked Celia.

"Because she went into the same room with Luek." Rini was walking over to get her colouring book, and didn’t grasp the situation. The others just sat there and digested this information.

"Well then!" Michelle croaked.

"I think it would be best for us to go bar hopping or something tonight" Celia said plainly.

"RINI! WE’RE GOING OUT, GET YOUR JACKET!" called Amara.

They left as inconspicuously as they could.

Amy was incredibly happy. She had finally slept in a real bed, Lita’s. Lita has slept on the floor.

"Good morning Lita!" She chirped boisterously.

"Ugh! For you maybe!" Lita groaned as she got onto her elbows.

"Oh well. What’s for breakfast?" asked Amy.

"Bacon and eggs, nothing special." Lita replied. She got out of bed and went into the kitchen. Amy got up and got dressed, then walked out into the kitchen where Lita wa sgetting out the equipment needed for bacon and eggs. Amy just went outside and looked up at the sky. She saw a flash and knew that the Negaverse fleet must still be there. Another flash, and a huge chunk of burning metal crashed into the ground near her. Amy jumped reflexively and calmed down. She examined the metal (after transforming and blasting it with some water) and found it was a Negaverse fighter.

"Hey Lita, you’ve got a new lawn ornament!" Amy called in.

Lita looked out the window and said "Cool" and went back to her cooking. Amy then went back inside and detransformed. The phone rang.

"Hello? Serena? What’s wrong, you don’t usually ring before coming over. Amy? Yeah, she’s fine. Right, I’ll see you then." Lita put down the phone and dished out the food. Then, the phone rang again.

"Hi! LUEK!!! Yeah, just a sec." Lita pushed a few buttons and set the phone facing up. A hologram appeared in the air above the phone.

"Hey guys! How ya been?" Luek asked.

"Good! How are things going?" asked Lita in return.

"Fair enough, I guess. Look, you guys, when we get back, um, I don’t know how to say this, but, uhhhh...." Luek trailed off and Holly walked by in the background and smacked him upside the head.

"OWWW! Ok ok I’ll tell them. Look, I think I’ll wait until the others get there before I tell you that bit of news. Anyway, how did you like the upgrades?" Luek finished.

"They rock! I have a new move called Jupiter Mega-bolt Lightning Crash and it destroyed Khyrador! Completely wiped him out!" Lita gushed.

A sweat bead appeared on Luek and Amy’s heads.

"Onto other news, I better make this quick, unless you want to foot the phone bill. Me and my merry band will be coming back in about a week, so don’t miss me to much. The others say hi, and when the others get there, call me. My number is 633458330991628-100653442747854. Ring me. Bye."

The hologram shut down and the phone beeped once and put itself back on the hook.

"That’s a long number." Lita said.

Serena was rushing like a madman, as usual. School was being continued during the war (!!!) and she hadn’t expected it so she had stayed in bed later. She bolted downstairs, grabbed her lunch and ran out the door. She then ran back inside and upstairs, got dressed, and left again. Serena’s parents just stared, then got back to normal. Back at school, Serena went up to Miss Haruna and said that Luek might not be in today. She then settled down and got to semi-working. The results from her test in last term turned out a perfect 50%. As a reward for Serena, Miss Haruna said she wouldn’t post homework for a week, and that there was a two day extension on all due projects. Serena started to find questions she actually knew the answers to in class and was taking in more info. She suspected it may have something to do with Lueks upgrade. She’d have to talk to Amy and the others at lunch. Serena was doing so well in class, that Miss H. gave everyone a ten minute early mark to lunch. She met up with the others and disscused it.

"I know what you mean" Amy said. "Lately I’ve been wanting to talk to people and forget about brain exercises!"

"And me, this morning I wanted to go for a plane ride, I think I’ve been helped to get over it, by Luek." Lita announced. The others knew what a big step this was, Lita’s parents had died in a plane crash and she had a deathly fear of them since.

"Last night, I rang my mother and didn’t start a fight with her" Mina stated.

"And I decided to let off on Serena today, instead of teasing her every opportunity" Raye, of course.

"Luek has been doing some conniving!" Amy said. "Lets go for icecream after school, hmm?"

Luek and Holly walked out of Lueks room looking all flustered. They immediately got on the phone with Lita and after a while, finished. The Outers and Rini got home.

"So you’re done now?" asked Amara. Luek and Holly went bright, bright, bright, bright red. The room was lit up without a lightbulb.

"Well. . . Yeah. Though if you mention this, I will be forced to kill you!" Holly menaced.

"Hey!" Amara said and made a show of zipping her mouth.

"Anywho, Me and Holly have decided that, we love each other. And also, I’ve decided to tell you something else" Luek breathed deep and continued. "The thing that Holly accidently blurted out, was something I erased from your, and the Inner’s minds. It was about the most evil person in all of Creation. Two people actually. Sailor and Nitro Blood. This pleasant pair specialised in ancient blood rituals, where the blood donor often died. Yarnie, the Sailor Scout, hails from the centre of a red star, as does her husband and Nitro Scout, Arilith. This pair was plotting the draining of all the blood in the universe for use in their rituals. We found out when Molly" Here he grimaced "had all of her blood drained by one of their minions, Despair, in the middle of your class. Molly died and I used my ressurection device, then we set off to find out what had done it. This was the first time we really met. We, the Scouts, Holly and I went and found Sailor Blood. Pluto, you should still know this, I doubt anyone could erase time from you. Anyway, We discovered the pair, and after a long battle, it was down to Me, Holly, Serena and Blood. Her husband, Nitro blood came in and we were again beaten into submission. Only at the end did Serena manage to paralyse them with Moon Sceptre Elimination. I did what I could and banished them back to the red star from which she came from. I afterwards ressurected the rest and erased the memories so they wouldn’t be burdened with that memory. Since then, me and Holly have shouldered that burden." Luek finished his speech. "Thats why they didn’t remember me when they introduced themselves."

Luek looked at Holly, and she spoke.

"There was debate over whether we should tell anyone, because the fight wasn’t pretty."

The others looked stunned.

"Now I know what has been annoying me." Celia snapped her fingers "The fact that you’d somehow hidden the past from me."

"O.k, I think we should go home now. Celia, where did you put my Portal Generator?" Luek asked. Celia got it, and Luek set it on the ground. He pushed some buttons and the portal opened.

"Let’s go." Holly said. Luek walked around for a bit, securing his stuff, locked the front door, closed the workshop, left some money for his landlord, then stepped through the portal. The others followed.

Chapter 28

"So what was it like over there?"

"What did you do?"
"Where did you stay?"

"Well. It was a lot of brown over there, except for the Festival. We stayed at Luek’s apartment and mostly we just worked on the upgrades. The place was heavily technologicaly advanced, about a billion years ahead of us." Amy answered all three questions.

"O.k you guys!" called Lita "Lunch is served. Soup!"

Amy was suddenly alone, so she got up and walked into the kitchen and sat down. The others were already into their soup.

"So Amy!" Serena said between slurps. "Was Luek ok? I mean, he didn’t do anything to you did he?" SLURP!

"No, but you should have seen the downright nasty things that Holly and Luek did to each other!"

"What like?" asked Mina

"Ha! Well the most noticible one was Luek pouring ice-cold water onto Holly, waking her up, then she ran into the shower and turned on the tap. The red dye Luek had put in the shower cap got right onto her. Then she ran and got in the bathtub where there were these frog type things in there. Needless to say, she was pissed." Amy finished

"So what did Holly do back to Luek?" questioned Serena.

"Smashed him out of the apartment through an unbreakable window, from fifty stories up." Amy replied.

They were about to ask more questions when they heard a sound. It was growing louder by the second. The noise was now distinguishable as a scream.

The group got out of the way and suddenly there was a hole in the roof, and the floor. They looked down the hole and saw Luek lying there flat on his face.

Now Luek was being laid on by Holly.

"OWWW!" Luek groaned. "GET OFF ME!"

"Ugh!" Holly complained. "I’d love to. Lita, pull me out of here!"

Lita grabbed her outstretched arm and pulled her out. Luek climbed out and fell on his back once out. The other three Outers landed more gracefully, on their feet.

"I KNEW I SHOULDN’T HAVE LISTENED TO YOU!!!!" Luek screamed.

"THEN WHY DID YOU?!!? YOU NEVER DID BEFORE??"" Holly yelled back.

"WELL NEXT TIME, YOU SHOULD AT LEAST TRY NOT TO KNOCK OVER THE GENERATOR WHEN YOU WALK THROUGH, THATS THE ONLY WAY ID’VE LANDED ON MY FACE" Luek argued.

"I DID NOT!!!!" Holly came back.

"CLUMSY IDIOT!!" Luek insulted.

"ROCK FOR BRAINS!!" Holly screeched back. The two started fighting and they knocked out a wall in their fighting.

"God! Here thirty seconds and they’re already at it!" Michelle complained.

"So what’ve we missed?" asked Setsuna.

"Well, we destroyed one of the four monsters. Khyrador I believe" Amy said.

"Yeah and It was my attack that did it!" Lita put in.

"And they left, they must’ve been unprepared for his demise" Amy continued.

All of a sudden the sounds of Luek and Holly’s fighting stopped. The others looked out and saw waves of youma landing again.

"Guys, we got trouble!" Luek announced.

"Oh and Luek has another power, which I’m sure he’ll show you in good time." Amy added.

"Let’s transform!" Serena ordered. "Moon Upgrade Power!!"

"Mercury-Mech Upgrade Power!!"

"Mars-Mech Upgrade Power!!"

"Venus-Mech Upgrade Power!!"
"Jupiter-Mech Upgrade Power!!"

"Saturn Crystal Power!!"
"Pluto Crystal Power!!"

"Neptune Crystal Power!!"

"Uranus Crystal Power!!"

"Mech Elemental Coin Poweron!!"

They transformed and started fighting youma.

"Y’know, this is a great way to start my day, fighting Nega-goons!" Luek said conversationally.

"Yeah, it really helps to tighten those ab muscles, and burn extra kilos!" Lita shot back. She kicked away a youma.

"Good, I’ve been feeling fat lately!" Luek finished as he pulled a blaster from the holster on his side. He blasted a few times then cursed.

"Great, out of ammo. I had centurys to recharge the thing but NOOOO! I had to keep putting it off!" He put it back in the holster, and punched a youma who had taken the advantage. The youma flew back.

Together, the group had no trouble holding off the Negaverse. On board the command ship, Dodrite was making plans borne of rage.

"That’s it!! These Scouts keep multiplying!! Where did HE come from" he demanded, stabbing a finger directly at him.

"We don’t know, he just appeared, along with the others." The cowering man said.

"I’ve had enough of your incompetence, do you have anything to say to your family before I kill you?" Dodrite asked, then blasted him without waiting.

"Take this as a sign to all. Don’t! Fail! Me!!" Dodrite explained. The rest of the men in the conference left. Dodrite looked at the screen where the strangers fought along side the Scouts.

"I will destroy you!" Dodrite swore.

He turned and left the room.

On the bridge, the crew was going about their buisness, when Dodrite walked back in.

"Admiral. We are receiving a transmission."
"Negaverse leader Dodrite. We now outnumber you and have forces on the way. Surrender and come peacefully."

"Ummm. NO!!" Dodrite laughed. "Weaponsmaster, destroy the ship that sent that transmission." A ship blew up under Negaverse guns.

Suddenly, true to the Earthlings word, came more ships from behind the planet. Frigates!

"Concentrate all ship fire on the frigates and let our fighters deal with the Earthlings ones." Dodrite ordered.

"Sir! The Earthlings now outgun us noticibly. What should we do?"

"Let me address the ship." Dodrite said. "Men. We are now outgunned. The battle has turned towards the Earthlings, and I know it. Therefore, I have decided to utilize our final contingency plan. Everyone, hold on to something, pray to your respectful gods, and brace yourself."

"Weaponsmaster! I want you to get ready to fire the Doomsday device. On my mark!" Dodrite ordered.

"FIRE!!"

The Weaponsmaster and Dodrite pushed the button at the same time. A bright green light lanced out and impaled the leading frigate. It was destroyed. The ranks of frigate broke and headed off in different directions. The lights on the Negaverse Reborn flicked out.

"Now we have the advantage" Dodrite grinned.

Luek and the others were fighting off increasing numbers of youma when it happened. Youma died in a huge bunch off to their right. Luek looked over and saw. . . Himself.

"The other one." Luek mumbled to himself. His alter ego smiled the same smile Luek himself did but it was somehow more evil on this face that was so much like his.

"Luek!" Luek said

"Luek!" said the other one.

"I suppose we should get on with it then!" Luek sighed.

"I suppose we should" The other one said.

"ELEMENTAL AXE SUMMON!!!" They both yelled at the same time.

"You have the Elemental Axe too!! But there was only one!" Luek exclaimed.
"Because I am you!" The evil one said

"Lets rock, I’ve never fought myself before!" Luek laughed.

"And you never will again!"

With that, the two alter egos swung their axes at each other.

Sailor Venus suddenly was free of monsters. She looked over to see Luek and someone else fighting. It was himself he was fighting.

"Guys, Luek is fighting a clone!" She yelled just before the youma swamped her again.

The others all looked over and saw it too.

Kitai was incredibly pleased. The good creation and the neutral one were fighting. The one downside was that they were incredibly evenly matched and that they were perfectly synchronised. Each one could anticipate the others move.

Ki was wondering what was going on. Two things were attacking each other, but they were exactly the same, down to the heartbeats. No clone could be like that. Also, why had the Negaverse stopped fighting with each other and unified.

Tarraki was also puzzled. The Sailor Scouts had been reactivated and he was wondering how Ki had known about his attack. Also what were these beings that were so much the same that were fighting.

"KITAI!" Tarraki cursed.

Luek swung his axe, but his other self blocked the move. Luek dropped the axe and it vanished. His alter ego did likewise.

"Now that we have fought with the mightiest of weapons" Luek cried.

"We will now fight with bare hands and energy to see if we can end the draw!" His dark doppleganger finished.

"MECH BUZZSAW DISC!!" Luek screamed and threw the disc.

"MECH TECHNOLOGICAL RIFT!"
The saw bounced away and nearly hit Holly. Luek jumped in to kick, but the other one dodged the move.

"MECH BREAKDOWN BEAM!!" the other one hollered.

"Whoa!" Luek exclaimed as he jumped the beam.

‘There has to be something I can do or that I have that this clone dosn’t or can’t do. WHAT!’ Luek dodged a kick from his evil alter ego.

"Rrrrrrrrr!!" Luek growled at the same time as his opponent.

"MECH SOUL VORTEX BURN!!!" The two energy manifestations drained the very planet in an attempt to overwhelm the other. An earthquake occured, throwing the two combatants to the ground.

"CANCEL!!" yelled Luek and the other at the same time. The Vortices dissapated.

‘How can we be so evenly matched. If this continues, the planet could be destroyed!" Luek thought. ‘Time to try the Everdeath!’

The two fighters got up off the ground and Luek screamed.

"MECH EVERDEATH!!"

The universal focus of energy centered on Luek. A wave of dark energy fired from his finger and hit his opponent. Luek fell to the ground, incredibly drained. Serena saw Luek fall.

"NO!!" She screamed. His opposite smiled an evil grin. He got up and walked over to Luek, who was too drained to get up. The opposite kicked Luek in the ribs. Luek groaned.

"Mech Breakdown Beam!" it said, calmly. The beam smashed into Luek at point blank range.

"Arrrrgggghhhh!" Luek screamed.

The doppleganger kept firing into Luek, until he didn’t scream any more.

"Ha ha ha ha!" he laughed. He moved away from Luek and then blasted away at youma. Holly was overcome with rage at the evil thing that may have killed Luek.

"DIE SCUMBAG!!" It turned slowly and saw Holly charging at him.

"Ha ha ha ha!!" he lauged again.

"SILENCE GLAIVE SURPRISE!!" She screamed.

"Mech Technology Rift!"

The explosion surrounded, but never touched him. Holly kept running and lunged with the Glaive. It dodged nimbly and summoned his Axe. The pair sparred. Holly’s Glaive was faster, but The Axe was more powerful and nobody landed any hits. Finally, Holly jumped back, flipped over him, then flipped the Glaive and plunged it into his back. The creation screamed and fell to the ground. For a second nothing happened. Then it was surrounded in blue flame and vanished.

Luek coughed up blood. He spoke.

"Serena! My body is damaged beyond human repair. I want you to know that I can save myself, but only you, and the Gemlords can release me. Release me in good time."

"Eternal Stasis!"

Luek was levitated into a standing position, then encased in a Stasis Crystal. Serena looked into that anguished expression on his non-movng face.

"Rest Luek. Rest!" Serena sighed, then ordered "O.k guys, we’ve got to move this crystal somwhere it won’t attract attention. It wouldn’t do to have people defacing it!"

"We can move it to my temple" Raye volunteered.

"Good enough. Everyone, let’s move this. One person on every corner." Serena grabbed a corner, and the rest of the Scouts grabbed a corner. It wasn’t light, but at least it didn’t way a tonne. Once they got it there, Raye told Grandpa.

"Grandpa, the person in this crystal is very important, you must guard this because he has done his best to save the planet, we should at least try to save him."

"’Kay" Grandpa said.

"You guys should leave, I’ll protect Luek!" Holly said, not bothering to look at them.

"But we need you!" Lita said.

"GO! I will stay!" Holly yelled.

They all left, Grandpa also.

"Jeez, whats her problem?" asked Raye.

"Holly and Luek are in love, that’s probably why she’s staying." Amara explained.

"Ohh!" Raye said abruptly.

They all walked to Lita’s place, no longer interested in fighting.

"So, does anyone here know much about Luek anyway?" asked Mina.

"I do" Said Darien, running up from behind. "Luek told me a little about himself. He is timeless. He cannot be killed permanently, I don’t know why. But he has good reason to be strange. He has weathered much and has survived it all. The killing of his wife, wars, Negaverse possesions"

"that we already knew" Raye said under her breath.

"And punishment beyond belief." Darien finished

"And Holly has known him for quite a long time. She and him reminisce about things we know nothing about." Celia put in.

"So basicaly, we hit a nerve with him by persisting in our pursuit of his friendship." Amy concluded.

"Y’know, I seem to remember Holly talking in her sleep once. She said something like ‘Luek, where were you when Pharoh had me? Where where you when Mistress Nine owned my body?’ I didn’t think much of it at the time, but now it appears relevant." Amara added.

"So basically, everything that we know is this:

He is unable to die, in a sense.

He and Holly have a relationship.

He has been alive a long time.

He can really fight.

He has two transformations, one unusable.

He used to have a wife.

His wife was murdered be the Negaverse.

He hates the Negaverse for it.

He has lots of enemies.

Does that about sum it up?" asked Lita

"Oh yeah! We have all fought against a psychotic being called Sailor Blood and her husband Nitro Blood" Michelle added.

"Why don’t we know about this?" asked Darien.

"Because he erased the memories from us so he and Holly were the only two needed to shoulder the burden. He even fooled Celia." Amara explained.

They reached Lita’s house, which they had somehow moed away from in all the fighting. Lita needed to take her mind off everything, so she went to the kitchen to cook. Serena read some comics she’d left here at some point, Mina and Lita got into an argument about some guy and Raye went outside. They didn’t do a great deal. Celia, Amara and Michelle left to go back to Rayes temple, and keep Holly company. When they got there, they saw Holly slumped against the crystal where Luek’s rather tall and motionless body lay, quietly sobbing. Celia stood at the door while the other two ran over to Holly and tried to comfort her.

Holly just kept sobbing about all the times Luek had left him by means of death, and that this was just as bad. She told, in her misery, about how often she’d wished that her healing touch affected him. In her sadness, she told of all the times they had had together, and how when he’d died, she just mourned all over again. She recited how time meant nothing to him, and how he’d given this gift to her, on her birthday. She just kept crying with Amara and Michelle failing to calm her down. Eventually Holly fell asleep, on the note that she wished that Luek had gotten his wish of eternal death. The three stayed behind, to guard the one who was loved by Holly so much.

Dodrite was happy. The lights had long since flickered back on and the Earth’s ranks were broken, and running scared.

"Fire the Doomsday Device again" Dodrite cried gleefully.

"Sir, we don’t have all that much energy left. If we fire again, we could destroy the ship!"

"I Don’t care!! FIRE!" Dorite screamed. Dodrite was going mad. The pressure of the battle, his first battle, was driving him insane.

The beam of energy lanced out and destroyed another of the fleeing frigates and an explosion rocked the ship.

"Admiral, the doomsday device is at critical. It won’t fire again."

Admiral Dodrite calmed down, and the madness left his eyes.

"Very well. I would like for the Doomsday Device to be taken offline, it won’t fire again. Repair it, but don’t place it at high priority, we have better things for our men to do. Concentrate fire on the frigates, but this time reserve one gun to fire at fighters that get within firing distance. Order the other command ship to pull forward while we pull back and repair. Order our Dreadnaughts to persue the Earth Frigates, but I want our Frigates to land on the planet, far away from those Scouts. These Frigates are expensive, and cannot be easily replaced. And also, send the order down to the creation deck, I want a new batch of youma ready in five minutes, or there will be hell to pay. That is all" Dodrite finished his order, then left for his quarters to rest.

"Negabuster 1 executing bombing run!" The first Earth fighter said.

"Negabusters 8 & 5 following."

The three fighters flew across the surface of the Negaverse ship, dropping their bombs. A huge explosion destroyed the ship, taking out the landing Negafrigate next to it, but also destroying the three Earth fighters. On the other side of the battle, another Earth Frigate exploded under the Negaverse guns. Two Earth Frigates concentrated fire on the Dreadnaught responsible for the attack, and it exploded. More and more Negafrigates got past Earth guns and landed. On the surface, soldiers kept firing on those frigates and not many men managed to get out of them. Those that did usually took out a few soldiers before perishing. Generally, there was chaos all over. And it was not helped when the Weako-Trio showed up.

"Howdy guys!!" Corin giggled

"Didja miss us?" asked Kimone

"We just had to visit our favorite Sailor Scouts!" Zenith concluded

"Oh great! They’re back!" groaned Lita.

"PLAAAAAAAY BALL!!" Zenith exclaimed. He pulled a boulder form his body and pitched it at Serena. Serena took the brunt of it and was hurled back, until she was trapped between the boulder and the wall of an apartment.

"Get this off me!" She cried.

While Amy and Mina struggled to lift the boulder off her, Lita and Raye faced the monsters.

"Mars Flame Sniper!"

"Jupiter Thundercrash ZAP!!"

The monsters nimbley dodged the attacks and Corin jumped behind the two, then blasted them with black beams. They fell to the ground, and Serena finally got back up.

"Mercury Aqua Mirage!"

"Venus Meteor Shower!"

"Rainbow Moon Heartache!!"

Zenith jumped straight up, but Kimone, who wasn’t as fast, got caught and was fried.

"Ahhhhrrrrrgggghhhh!" Kimone screamed. "I’ll be back!’ He then vanished.

"MARS FLAME-BIRD FLY!!"

"JUPITER MEGABOLT-LIGHTNING CRASH!!"
"RISING MOON POWERS COLIDE!!"

Zenith hid behind Corin, and Corin ducked. The flame bird and the rising moon missed, but Lita redirected the megabolt and it crashed through Zenith, and Corin dissapeared before it hit him. Unfortunately, since Zenith had been standing in front of Amy, the bolt went right through. Lita tried to pull it up, but the megabolt smashed Amy in the head. She didn’t fly back, didn’t cry out, just fell to the ground, her eyes pupil-less.

"AMY!!" Lita cried, and ran to her. She checked for a pulse, and found nothing. The blue haired genius, was dead.

"SERENA! GET OVER HERE AND HELP!!" Lita screamed. The others ran to Lita’s side.

"Serena, can you do something?" asked Mina.

"I can try!" Serena said resolutely.

"MOON HEALING ACTIVATION!!"
Nothing.

"TRY AGAIN DAMN IT!" Raye cried.

"MOON HEALING ACTIVATION!!!!"

Nothing.

Again, there was nothing.

"NO!!!!" Cried Mina. "NO NO NO!"
Pluto ran up, and called.

"What’s happened? I felt a disturbance!"

"Celia! Amy’s. . ." Raye trailed off.

"Dead!" Serena sighed. "She’s dead"

Celia caught up to them, and stopped running.

"Have you tried electricity to revive her?" asked Celia.

"That was the reason she died!" Lita cursed. "My stupid attack went wild! I wish Luek had never come into our lives!"

"There is a way to save her, but it is risky." Celia suggested.

"WHAT!" the remaining Inner Scouts snapped in unison.

"You could go back through the Gate of Time, stop it from happening." Celia said.

"YES! Thats a great idea!" Lita cried immediately.

"NO!" Serena said. "We can’t meddle with time. Unfortunately, if Amy died, it meant she was meant to die!"

"WHAT!!!!" Mina screamed. "ARE YOU OUT OF YOUR MIND!! WE HAVE A CHANCE TO GET AMY BACK! WHO CARES!!"

"Mina! Who knows what affect saving Amy might have. For all we know, she might end up destroying the world?" Serena argued.

"I can’t believe you, of all people, are trying, NOT to save Amy!! Id’ve thought you’d be the first to argue for saving her." Mina exclaimed.

"Serena has a point!" Celia said. "She could ruin the world."
They had a vote, and the vote turned out 4 to 1 on saving Amy.

"Then we’ll go." Serena groaned.

Holly woke from a restless sleep, still feeling as if she’d gotten none at all. She looked up to see Amara and Michelle.

"What are you guys doing here?" asked Holly.

"We are here to help guard Luek from any attackers." Amara said.

"But why, I didn’t think you liked him Amara?" Holly gasped. Amara had been harbouring misgivings about Luek from the beginning.

"Anyone who loves you, and who you love back so much, can’t be all bad!" Amara explained.

Holly giggled and got up. She looked at the motionless form of Luek in the crystal, and noted that some of his skin was healing. Luek was rather tall, and was tall enough to look Celia in the eye. He was also of medium build. His brown hair was floating slowly in the crystal, as if it were filled with fluid. He was still in his Nitro uniform, and the pained look he had worn on his face at the time he had placed himself in stasis, remained. It haunted Holly.

"I wish there was a way to get him out, at least to change that expression." Michelle longed. "It looks so anguished."
"I wonder what has happened to Pluto." Amara said.

"She went off saying something about a disturbance" Michelle reminded.

"Do you guys wonder about him? About Luek?" asked Holly.

"Constantly!" Amara replied.

"I have lived through quite a bit. Not as much as Luek, but the Everlife Luek gave me assures we will be together, and yet I know little about him. I hope he pulls through, he told me that if he is killed by his own attack, he won’t be ressurected. That clone was angry, and it wasn’t easy to kill. Luek appears to be healing, but he can’t get himself out of that Stasis Crystal himself. He needs certain people to get him out. He once said that they emmit a certain aura, and tried to teach me how to see this aura, but I never managed it." Holly sighed. "I wish I had, then I’d be able to get Luek out of there. He said that all the person had to do was use their most powerful attack on the stasis cube, then it would smash open and he’d be free."

"Have you tried it Holly?" asked Michelle.

"Not yet, I didn’t think to!" Holly considered.

"Then why not try it now, you’re all transformed, your Glaive is leaning against the Crystal, go for it." Amara encouraged.

"What do I have to lose?" Holly asked herself.

She walked over and got her Glaive.

"SILENCE GLAIVE SURPRISE!!" Holly cried. The Crystal was engulfed by the explosion, and when the smoke cleared, the Crystal was still standing there, not even scratched.

"DAMN, DAMN, DAMN!!!" Holly yelled, slamming the butt of her Glaive on the ground. "Why couldn’t I be one of those people!!"

"Calm down Holly, maybe I can do it!" Michelle offered.

"Good idea, try it!" Holly urged.

"SUBMARINE!! REFLECTION!!!"

The Crystal was still standing.

"I’ll try. SPACE SWORD BLASTER!!!"

The Crystal was not moved.

"CRAP!!" Holly swore. "Knowing our luck, it’s probably one of the Starlights who can bring him out! Or one of the Negaverse Generals, Or it’ll be his dear dead wife, God rest her soul. Somone we can’t get to!"

"Ah Holly? We do have a few more Sailor Scouts to go through before we give up. And besides, if we release him now, he’ll still be weak. I mean, look at him! You can see part of his skull from the back! He isn’t going anywhere until he heals completely, so he may as well stay in there." Amara finished.

"yeah, sorry" Holly apologised. "Just a little worked up, thats all."

"That’s o.k. You don’t look like you got much sleep. So go back to bed" Amara ordered.

"O.K. Good Night!" Holly went back to the crystal, detransformed, slumped against the crystal and went to sleep, saying: "Good night Luek"

"Yo Samus!! Where’s Luek? What’s taking him so long to sign in??" called Adam. This was happening in the centre of the universe, in a place which was phased out of this dimension just enough to render it invisible. Lueks handiwork obviously.

"I don’t know, I think the last time we saw his energy signature was on the way back to Earth, from Mech. Remember?" Sam reminded Adam.

"Yeah, isn’t there a Negaverse invasion going on there?" asked Ben

"Probably. I’m surprised that the Negaverse still exists." Mathew sighed. "No rest for the weary!"

"Well, we’ve got to check this out." Ben said.

"O.k. First, however, lets transform cause we can expect trouble!" Adam ordered. "MOON NITRO POWER!!"
"Ohh, I just looove trouble" Ben complained. "JUPITER NITRO POWER!!"

"Doesn’t this feel strange without Luek?" asked Sam. "MERCURY NITRO POWER!!"

"Lets’ fight some stuff, it’s been getting boring around here!" Mathew cried. "VENUS NITRO POWER!!"

They transformed. Adam was bathed in pale yellow light, and the Moon Staff appeared in his left hand. The Moon Crown appeared on his head, and he was garbed in his customary shorts with cresent moons down the sides. He wore no top which revealed his battle scar from the Silver Millenium. It could have been fixed, but he prefered to wear his scars.

Sam was engulfed in an icecrystal, and when it smashed, he had the ice shield in his left hand, the ice sword in his right, and he had an ice-blue shirt on with a bowtie on (also ice-blue), and his shorts were ice-blue again, and they were ragged at the bottom, suggesting they had been jeans at one time. There was a gold earring in his left ear.

When Mathew transformed, his Heart shield appeared first, then his quiver. The bow then appeared strapped to his back. His shirt was grey, and had rolled up sleeves, as if the shirt was a hand-me-down. His long pants were yellow, and they had a green stripe around the bottom. Finally Ben transformed. His was a simple one, his lightning sword was in his hand and his defence barrier shimmered into existence. His clothes were all green, and he wore no shoes. They teleported to Earth.

"O.k Sam, where do we look?" asked Mathew.

"Well, Luek did say he was going to Tokyo!" Sam replied.

"Then why are we in Poland?" asked Adam.

"Uhhhhh. . ."

"C’mon, lets go to Tokyo already." Adam groaned.

"MARS FLAME BIRD FLY!!"

The flames hit Luek’s stasis crystal.

"Sam, I just detected a big lot of energy." Mathew said. "The type that Luek is known for!"

"Where abouts!!" asked Adam.

"Cherry Hill, in a temple."
" Let’s go then!"

"DAMN IT!!" Raye cried, stamping her foot.

Raye was the latest to try and get him out. Serena was asleep, and Lita refused to. They’d decided to leave it ‘till a little later to go back in time.

"Alright, I’ll try!" Mina said.

"VENUS LOVE BEAM PARYLYZE!!"

"There is is again, in that building." Mathew cried.

"Hey!! WHY CAN’T ANYONE SEE ME!!" A voice wailed.

The group turned around, and they saw a girl with blue hair, and a Sailor Scout costume on.

"Who are you?" asked Sam.

"YOU CAN SEE ME!?!?!?!" The girl cried.

"Well, yeah. I mean, you are just standing there!" Mathew pointed out.

"Oh. I’m Amy Mizuno. Hi!"

"Y’know, you look awful pale!" Ben noted.

"This may come as a shock to you, Amy, but you seem dead!" Adam said.

"But I’m talking!" She protested.

"And?!?" Mathew moaned. "Just cause you’re dead, doesn’t mean you can’t talk. Haven’t you seen the movies?"

"Oh leave her alone, dying is a traumatic experience that affects the rest of your life." Ben laughed.

"Don’t let him piss you off, I can ressurect you, Amy" Sam advised.

"NITRO MERCURY REGENERATE!! TARGET THIS DEAD GIRL!!"
Amy was surrounded in water, and suddenly her ghost vanished.

"Maybe we should wake up Serena and let her try!" Mina advised.

"<Cough, Cough!> Ugh!! Where am I!" groaned Amy.

"AMY!!" The group members awake ran over and hugged her.

KNOCK KNOCK KNOCK!!!

"I’m not expecting anyone!" Raye said, then hurried over to the door. It was blasted open before Raye could open it, and four strangers stood there.

"Alright, what have you done with. . . LUEK!!" The one with the crown exclaimed.

" What happened to the man!!" The one in ice-blue cried.

"What did you monsters do to Luek!!?!" Yelled the one with a bow drawn.

"WHAT!! WE DIDN’T DO ANYTHING TO HIM!!" protested Serena, having woken up just then.

"Then why has he resorted to his Eternal Stasis Move?" asked the Crowned one again. Just then he looked over the group and spotted Serena.

"The Moon Princess!" He said in awe.

"Wha-?" Serena asked.

"Greetings, Moon Princess. I am the Moon Prince, Adam. But not for a while yet." the crowned one announced. "These are my cohorts, Mathew, Prince of Venus, Ben, Prince of Jupiter, and Sam, Prince of Jupiter. We are the Nitro Scouts."

"Ahh well, do you think that you could explain somthing to us. Like why we haven’t seen you." Raye said as she got up.

"Indeed. We may have a different agenda to you. While you defend your solar system, we go abroad, defending people everywhere, although we are more like mercenaries than princes. This is why you have never heard of us. When we left our respective planets, we erased the memories of all who had once known us. Even out own mother wouldn’t recognise us!" Adam chuckled. "We just keep the ‘Prince’ titles for the visual effect.

"Oh okay. Anyway, what are you going to do now?" asked Lita.

"Well, you seem to be having a little Negaverse trouble. Seeing as we hate the Negaverse as much as we hate vegetables, we’ll help you eradicate them for free." Sam said.

Right then, Holly walked back in, along with the other Outers.

"Invaders!" hissed Pluto.

"Outers!!" Ben snarled back.

"I’m going to make a wild, off the chart guess that these guys don’t like each other." Mina said.

"Death to the Invaders" Pluto proclaimed.

"Eradication of the Outers" Adam growled.

"The Outers in every galaxy see us as invaders, thats why we don’t get along" Sam explained.

Amara swung the Space Sword and knocked against the Stasis crystal. That sound reminded Adam why they were here. It was also followed by a youma scream.

"O.k, we have two more immediate problems to deal with, one being Negaverse baddies, the other being releasing Luek from stasis. MERCURY REGENERATE!! TARGET LUEK!!"

As Luek did nothing, water flowed over the Crystal and he was healed.

"MOON STAFF SWING!!" Adam cried.

The Crystal shattered and Luek fell to the ground, gasping.

"The <Hack, hack> Nitro’s are <Cough, wheeze> HERE?!"

Luek got up slowly, and leaned on Holly for support. He cleared his throat.

"I’m still a little weak, a side effect from stasis. I’m not going to get any fighting done. Holly, could you take me to my apartment, I don’t think I’d make it there by myself in this state. I’d be youma bait."

"Sure Luek. I’m just glad to have you back." and with that, Holly kissed him passionately. Lueks eyes widened and then he seemed to just enjoy it.

"OHHHHHHH!!!" The Nitro’s crowed. "AHAHAH!!"

Holly released Luek from the kiss, and stepped back. Luek seemed to have lost the ability to speak briefly.

"Ahhh, O.k, are we ready to go now?" asked Luek. "Although you could just kiss me again."
"Why not do both?" Holly suggested, then the pair left, Luek leaning on Holly as they left. The pair detransformed in unison and laughed at something the other had said.

"Is there something going on here with these two High school students that we should know about?" asked Sam.

"Well, I’m not too sure on the details" Michelle said. "They only touched on it briefly before we left Mech, but I’d say they’re in love."

"Well, it doesn’t surprise me for one" Mathew stated. "I mean, I’m the Nitro of Love, and I’ve been pumping him full of suggestive hints about Holly for ages, they’re obviously meant for each other. But his head is so thick it’s only started working now. Ahhh, Mechians!"

"Well, I just hope that Holly comes straight back, and doesn’t ‘hang around’ for whatever reason" Raye said. Another youma scream reminded them why they were here.

"Lets kick some youma butt!" cried Sam and Lita simultaneously.

The two groups of Scouts ran outside to commence the attack.

The groups fought off the youma, the Niros’ seeming to be more Melee oriented than Power oriented. Sam, slashing with the Ice Blade, Adam, whirling like a spinning top, wielding the Moon Staff, Mathew, firing arrows into battle, kicking away youma that got to close, and Ben, firing lightning bolts and using jump in to his opponent, swinging the Lightning Sword.

"You guys!" Adam yelled over the sounds of battle. " We need to use some powers, our weapons just aren’t denting them enough."

"Agreed!" Sam hollered back.

"MERCURY ICE BLADE SHIMMER!!"

About twenty youma froze on contact.

"JUPITER THUNDER BLADE SLASH!!"

Thirty plus youma were fried by the lightning.

"VENUS LOVE BEAM PARYLYZE!!"

The twenty youma that were frozen by Nitro Mercury’s attack shattered.

"MOON STAFF SWING!!"

Adam spun 360 degrees, once, twice, three times and a hundred youma disintegrated. More youma beamed down to replace those lost.

"This isn’t working guys." Mathew cried.

"Yeah, it’s almost as if they’re trying to invade Earth!" Raye said sarcastically.

"We’re going to have to beam up to the Command ship." Adam sighed.

"Us too?" asked Lita.

"Yeah, we’ll need all the help we can get. The Outers can stay here and hold them off." Adam replied.

"Flattered!" Amara groaned, then sliced a youma in half.

"Let’s go guys. Everyone, grab a hold of a Sailor Scout and we’ll beam up." Adam ordered.

"Beam me up Scotty!" Sam laughed, and the group vanished.

"ALL RIGHT!! WHO ARE THESE NEW!!! FIGHTERS??" roared Dodrite.

"They’re the Nitro’s!" called somone.

"WHAT ARE THE NITRO’S DOING HERE!!!" Dodrite roared again.

"We don’t know, but it’s definitely them. They’re energy signals match those of the group that destroyed an outpost a few months ago." The captain informed. On the viewscreen, The Nitro’s, and the Scouts vanished.

"WHERE DID THEY GO??!?!?!?!!!" Screamed Dodrite.

"They’re on the ship!!!" cried the captain.

"They’re tearing through the ship, and heading for . . . OH MY GOD, THEY’RE HEADING HERE!!!!"

"STOP THEM!!" ordered Dodrite.

"WE CAN’T!!!"

"Thanks for helping me home Holly" Luek said gratefully. "I really appreciate it. I wish I could join my friends in the fight."

"I know how you feel Luek, but you are too weak to do anything. Even if you weren’t" Holly added seductively "I wouldn’t let you go anywhere!"

Luek gulped, then he sat on his bed. His apartment was a drab place. It was because he had no imagination when it came to color, he’d once told Holly.

"What would you be implying there?" Luek played dumb.

"Hee hee hee hee"

"O.k, if we take a left here then a right. . . Ahhh forget it, Ben, blow up that wall there" Adam pointed with his staff. The wall was cut open by the Thunder Blade.

"Sorry, will that do?" Ben asked.

"Damn it!! What kind of Nitro Battle is this" Adam demanded. "We haven’t caused or been the focus of a single explosion yet, and it’s been a whole minute. What’s going on?"

"Sorry!" Mathew apologised. He threw a grenade at a group of gas tanks and they detonated. "Is that better?"

"You know it. Now lets leave this thoroughly destroyed docking bay." Adam said.

They headed through the doorway Ben had cut. They were continually being attacked by crew members, but they served no challenge. It was when the on-board ship guards came that things started getting hairy.

"O.k" Mathew said, after the group was driven into a dead end corridor. "Any ideas?"

"Ummm, don’t die!" Serena suggested.

"Hows about we do something destructive!" Adam implied. "Raye, would you like to take the honors. Use something that will do a fair amount of damage, before we are ripped to little pieces by Negaversian lasers."

"Certainly. MARS FLAME BIRD FLY!!!!"

The flame bird ploughed through the corridor, leaving it temporarily free of youma.

"Nice." Sam complimented. "Luek’s handywork, no?"

"That’s right." Raye said. The group ran and finaly found themselves in the command centre. There were hundreds of guards in this room. They were quickly surrounded.

"Ahhhum guys. What do we do?" asked Serena.

"All for one and one for all!!" The Nitro’s cried simultaneously.

"Except in this case" Adam started.

"Where we say." Mathew continued.

"Somthing to the effect of" Ben chipped in.

"EVERY NITRO FOR HIMSELF!!" Sam screamed.

"MERCURY ICE SWORD SHIMMER!!!"

"VENUS VANITY BLAST!!!" The youma stopped fighting and looked for mirrors.

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH" Cried ben and Lita at the same time.

"MOON DISCUS!!"

"MOON TIARA!!

"MAGIC!!!!" The Moon pair cried.

"Let’s fight s’more. We can’t let the Negaverse win!"

"YEAH!" Everyone yelled.

"SEEYAH!!" Ben cried and jumped into action.

"KEEYAH!!" Sam screamed, and ran at his nearest enemy.

"Ahhhhhhhh!!" Mathew hollered, and shot off arrows.

"GRRRRAAAAAHHHH!!" Adam growled, getting louder.

"LETS GO!!" Adam yelled. "READY THE ONIX RINGS!!"

The Nitro’s stopped what they were doing, and fished rings from their pockets. The rings had onix stones on them, with the signs of their planet on the sides.

"READY? MOON ONIX RING!!"

"MERCURY ONIX RING!!"
"JUPITER ONIX RING!!"
"VENUS ONIX RING!!"

"SOLAR SYSTEM ONIX RINGS!!" They cried simultaneously.

"Powers of the Onix Rings, I summon you." Adam cried, then they all started a speach, formed a circle, and started speaking in complete unison.

"We are the Seekers Of Truth, those who will find salvation in the glory of being seperate and unbound from the restrictions of those seek to bind us. We are those with everlasting knowledge that will keep us strong against a sea of trouble. WE SUMMON THE POWER OF ALL OF CREATION, GIVE US THE POWER TO TRIUMPH!!"

The Nitro’s undertook a severe transformation. Sam was surrounded in blue light, and he started to transform to a being of pure ice. Ben was surrounded in green light, and he was transformed into a being of lightning. Mathew was transformed into yellow light, and he merged with Adam, who was turned into Eternal Nitro Moon, his staff now had a bow string, and he had a quiver on his back. He was covered in armor, the Venus Shield taking it’s place in his transformation and finished with Adam’s now steel gauntleted hand clenching.

"WE ARE THE LAST OF A GREAT RACE OF PROTECTORS, WE WILL NOT FALL!!" He hollered, and the Moon Crown on his head glowed brightly.

"FIGHT!!"

They broke the circle and fought. Any who touched Sam was instantly frozen and shattered, any who touched Ben were paralysed briefly and Adam had no ill effects from touching him, but everyone’s movements were stronger, faster, and more powerful. Within seconds the entire bridge was destroyed and the crew lay dead. Except for the man standing at the bridge.

"Greetings Nitros. I am Dodrite."

"DODRITE!!" Adam spoke, his voice a combination of a thousand voices, all stripped of emotion and humanity. "For your crimes against the people of Earth, the universe, we sentence you to death. We have served as Jury, and found you guilty. We have served as judge and passed the sentence. We will now serve as executioner and will end your evil existance."
"Ha ha ha! Tough talk Nitro. Perhaps you are still sad after I destroyed your race and forced you into hiding. Maybe you should lie down" Dodrite cackled.

"Defeating you will be all the rest we need." Sam spoke up.

"Mayhap" Dodrite said. "If you dare, follow me to my lair." And he stepped onto a lift and descended.

"O.K Nitros." Adam started. "The road ahead leads towards the salvation of mankind from the clutches of destruction. Let there be no word spoked false, in the future that lies ahead, there will be the new queens of the Solar System that will bring with them the promise of a new age. If we venture forward, we will go now and leave behind any doubt of victory. If we go back, we will have failed. I say we go forward, and if need be, die honorably."

" No need to joke, we aren’t going to lose!" Sam said nevously.

"Then venture forward we shall." Adam proclaimed. With that, the group stepped onto the elevator, and descended into darkness.

"AMARA!! WE ARE RUNNING OUT OF ENERGY!!" Yelled Michelle.

"I NOTICED!" She yelled back. "WE NEED TO HIDE OUT SOMEWHERE, Rini?"

"The Crystal Key? O.K. CRYSTAL KEY! TAKE US!" Cried Rini.

"WHOA!!" And they vanished.

Back at Lueks apartment.

"Scrable?" You want me to play, Scrable?" asked Luek.

"Yeah well, why not?" asked Holly.

"Cause that game bites! Always has, always will." Luek replied.

"Then can you suggest what we should do to pass time?" questioned Holly.

"We could always fight y’know" Luek pointed out.

"You aren’t fighting anyone. You are weak y’know" Holly told him.

"Only because of the Stasis!" He defended stubbornly. "And I’m over it now."

"Sure you are. Hey, I’m hungry. Want some food?" asked Holly

"Yeah, what are you making?" asked Luek.

"Oh I’m making noodles" Holly informed.

"COOL, COOL, COOL, COOL, COOL!!" Luek exclaimed. "My second favorite food!!"

"Really? I’ve forgotten your favorite!" Holly said.

"Barbecue chicken. But right now, we are having noodles." Luek insisted.

"O.k O.k, I’ll make them now!" Holly said.

"Need any help?" asked Luek.

"Yeah, if you want to."

"Cool!" Luek lept to his feet and walked into the kitchen with Holly.

Meanwhile. . .

"AHHHHRRRGGGG!!" screamed Sam.

"SAM!!" Ben yelled. "DODRITE!!! YOU’RE GOING DOWN!!"

"Hahahaha!" Dodrite laughed. "Try it!"

"JUPITER MEGABOLT LIGHTNING CRASH!!" Screamed Ben.

Dodrite held out his hand and deflected the bolt, which Ben jumped onto and rode it around the room.

"Hang Ten Dodrite!!" Ben laughed, then aimed it back at him. He jumped off at the last second and the bolt hit Dodrite. Dodrite flew backwards into the room, and this bought some time for the injured group. This had been a losing fight from the begining, Dodrite had paralysed them the instant they got off the elevator, and then he’d pounded them, giving them no chance to recover.

"Sam, Speak to me. SPEAK TO ME GOD DAMNIT!!" Ben had his brother’s head in his arms.

"Don’t friggin yell, I’m hurt, not deaf." Sam groaned.

"DODRITE!! I AM THE AVATAR OF JUSTICE, THE LIGHT OF A DEAD RACE. IN THE NAME OF THE GUARDIANS, YOU’RE GOING DOWN!!" Adam put his hands together and charged up.

"Powers of the Moon, gather and mix. Bubble and roil and twist reality. EARTH! MECH! Lend me your moons and their powers"

"RISING MOON POWERS COLIDE!!"Adam cried and fired off the beam.

Dodrite sat and watched the beam head for him. He put out his hands and focused.

"NO!!" Adam cried, as unbelievably, the beam wobbled off course to hit the wall.

"HAHAHAHA!!" Dodrite laughed, and got up. "Now it’s my turn."

Dodrite charged up, the power became almost overwhelming to the good guys.

"NEGAVERSE!!! PSYCHOSIS!! BOMB!!" Dodrite sceamed, and fired off the black ball.

"ARRRRGGGGHHHH!!" The group screamed as they were flung against the walls. They got up slowly and painfully.

"Nitros. Sailors. We are in trouble." Adam announced. "The time has come for everyone here to unleash their most powerful attacks, there is no other choice. Nitros, it’s been a pleasure fighting with you, Sailor Scouts, I’m sure all the Nitros have been happy to meet their siblings, I know I am. This is the end."

"Nitro Jupiter, ready to go."

"Nitro Mercury, ready to go."
Mathew separated from Adam.

"Nitro Venus, ready to go."
"Nitro Moon ready to go."

"Sailor Scouts, ready to go."

"HA HA HA HA!!" Dodrite laughed.

"LET’S ROCK!!" Adam screamed. "MOON KINGDOM VENGENCE!!"

"And Roll!!" Sam cried "MERCURY FLOW!!"

"This is it!!" Ben said "JUPITER THUNDER GRENADE!!"

"SO LET’S GO!!" Mathew finished "VENUS MULTI-ARROW, ATTACK!!"

"RISING MOON POWERS COLIDE!!"
"MARS FLAME BIRD FLY!!"

"MERCURY AQUA EXPLOSION!!"

"VENUS LOVE BEAM PARALYZE!!"

"JUPITER MEGABOLT-LIGHTNING CRASH!!"

All nine attacks headed for Dodrite. He put out his hands and foccused again. But the might of the attacks was too much, and they collided with Dodrite. When the smoke finaly cleared, Dodrite was still standing there.

"Ha Ha Ha Ha!!" Dodrite laughed. "You were fools to attempt to fight me. For your crimes against the Negaverse, I punish you with DEATH!!"

NOO!!" The nine scouts scried in shock.

"Now you will feel my true power!!" Dodrite laughed again. "BERRYL! I SUMMON YOUR SPIRIT!! MISTRESS 9, PHAROH 90, ALL ENEMIES OF THE SAILOR SCOUTS!! I SUMMON YOUR SPIRITS, EMPOWER ME SO I MIGHT DEFEAT THEM!!" Dodrite glowed in a black light, and all vestiges of kindness, compassion and all that was human to him, was swept away.

"NOW YOU DIE!!" Dodrite promised. The room turned dark from Negaverse energy. "NEGAVERSE, COMBINED POWERS!! DOOMSDAY PUNCH!!" His fist was surrounded by black light in the shape of a phoenix. He lunged at them and his fist contacted with Sam. The fist went right through, and when Dodrite withdrew it, and the light came back to the room. Sam was left standing up and looking at his chest. There was a bloodied hole there where there had once been a stomach.

"BEN!!" Sam gasped, then collapsed to the ground.

Ben ran over to his fallen brother, and cradled his head.

"Don’t worry Sam, you can just regenerate yourself, I mean, just use Mercury Regeneration on yourself." Ben spoke hopefully.

"I’m out of power Ben, there is no hope for me. Ben?" asked Sam.

"What man, what?"

"I. . . Don’t. . . Want. . . To. . . Di! Ohhhh." With that, Sam closed his eyes, and his body reverted to human. His heart stopped beating, his blue aura faded, and was no more. His body vanished.

"HA HA HA HA HA!!" Dodrite laughed again. Bens tears flowed to where his brother had once lain.

"Rest Sam. Rest." Ben rose, his green aura glowing brighter than it ever had before.

"DODRITE!!!!! DIE!!!!" Ben screamed. He ran at Dodrite, and punched. Dodrite laughed as he dodged, but stopped laughing when Ben kept punching, and Ben was getting faster all the time. Bens punches were getting so fast that it was impossible to see them. Dodrite was being driven back into a corner by the onslaught of lightning fast punches. All of a sudden, Ben jumped back and drew his Lightning Sword.

"JUPITER THUNDER BLADE SLASH!!"

The bolt headed for Dodrite, and he dodged. Ben kept firing and Adam started getting alarmed.

"Ben’s using up his power too fast, he has to stop." Adam said to himself.

"JUPITER THUNDER BLADE SLASH!!" Ben sent off another, and suddenly his power reserves were exausted. He couldn’t fire anymore. He jumped back into Dodrite and started punching again. Ben started strong but his punches started to slow down, his breath grew haggard and he was finding it hard just to keep moving. Dodrite started to press his advantage, and fight back. They moved out of the corner Ben had pressed Dodrite into and back into the centre of the room. Suddenly Dodrite moved away and started to charge up.

NEGAVERSE, COMBINED POWERS!! REAPER ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!!" The room grew dark again, and Ben cried out "JUPITER SHIELD!!"

Ben’s Shield flickered into place, but was not strong enough. Dodrite’s first kick was deflected, but his second one cut right through Ben’s midsection. His top flew off and hit a wall, his legs and pelvis still standing.

"ARRRRGGGGGHHHHHH!!!" Ben screamed in agony. When he stopped screaming, he just stared dumbly up at his legs. He died like that, his aura vanishing, his body reverting to human and then vanishing.

"BEN!!!! DODRITE YOU BASTARD!!!" Mathew cried. He and Adam ran at Dodrite. The Venus and Moon auras were incredibly strong, mixing together. The Sailor Scouts could do nothing but watch the three fight. Finaly, The three jumped apart. Mathew and Adam charged up. Dodrite did likewise.

"MOON!!!"

"VENUS!!!"

"NEGAVERSE!!!"

"STAFF!!"
"METEOR!!"

"COMBINED-POWER!!"

"SWING!!!!"

"SHOWER!!!!"
"Doomsday Beams!!"

All three powers collided and the resulting explosion blasted the last two Nitros into the Sailor Scouts, Dodrite into the wall, leaving a large dent.

The three got up slowly.

"You have destroyed our race. You will not destroy us!" Adam proclaimed.

"YES I WILL!!" Dodrite told him. "NEGAVERSE COMBINED-POWER!!! Doomsday Beams!"

The beams flew towards the last Nitros. Mathew jumped straight up, and got his foot nicked. Adam wasn’t fast enough. The beam caught him in the midsection and destroyed him instantly. Mathew fell back to the ground, landing on his bad foot and screaming.

"AHHHH!!" Mathew yelled. He then looked around for Adam and found nothing.

"Where’s Adam!" Mathew demanded. "WHERE’S ADAM!!!!" Mathew’s eyes then fell on the corner of the room, the one that had been hidden behind Dodrite. There lay the Moon staff, with Adam’s hand still attached. The hand then vanished, along with the weak glow that had been left.

"NOOOOOOOOO!!" Mathew cried. "NOOO!! THE MOON PRINCE!!"

Mathew turned to the Sailor Scouts.

"You guys. The Nitros have lost. I’ve lost my prince, my race is dead, and Dodrite has won. Therefore, in the interests of the rest of the universe, I am sending you back to Earth." Mathew ordered. A portal opened up underneath them and they fell in. The portal closed and Mathew smiled.

"Now it’s my turn. Dodrite, you’ve won." Mathew said. Dodrite nodded his agreement.

"In this light, I ask that you give me an honorable death." Mathew asked. "This is all I ask of you."
There was a silence in the blackened, chared and thoroughly destroyed room while Dodrite thought. Finally Dodrite spoke.

"I have considered your request, and after thinking, I have decided to grant you this one, last, request."

Mathew knealt on his knees and whispered.

"Make it quick."

Dodrite created a dark black sword, held it above his head, and swung to Mathews neck.

When Rini looked around she saw that she was indeed home.

"Yay!" she giggled. "Let’s go see Mommy!"

They walked towards the palace, only to find that when they got there, Rini’s parents were in energy cages, and in the throne where Queen Serenity usually sat, there sat Dodrite.

"You’re late" Dodrite told Rini.

"Who are you???" Rini demanded.

"I am the ruler of Earth. Admiral Dodrite, or in this time, King Dodrite." Dodrite informed.

"But who are you?!" asked Rini.

"I was the leader of the Negaverse invasion in the past. When I was victorious, I took over, and crushed the last remnants of resistance. Your parents I only caught recently. In fact, I caught all of the Sailor Scouts just yesterday. Convenient huh? HAHAHAHA!!"

"Where are they?" asked Amara.

"Why, they’re right behind you!" Dodrite pointed. The Scouts turned around to see Mars, Jupiter, Venus, Mercury and the future Outers hanging by chains from the wall above the door. Jupiter briefly lifted her head and mouthed ‘We’re still alive’ to Rini, then dropped her head again. Only rags were left of their Scout uniforms.

"No!" whispered Michelle.

"They fought valiantly, but in the end, I captured them. Oh and, by the way, By my calculations, I have just despatched the last Nitro in the past. He just gave in. Also, in about an hour I will despatch that annoying Nitro Mech." Dodrite informed them.

"How could the Scouts lose?" gasped Rini.

"They lost because, in the end, the Negaverse. Can’t. Lose!! HA HA HA HA HA!!" Dodrite laughed. "And now, the last of the Sailor Scouts will be captured." He raised his finger and Rini rose into the air.

"Hey!" She cried.

"LET HER DOWN!!" Amara demanded.

"NO!!" Dodrite said. "I think I’ll keep her up there, right where I like her!"

"PUT HER DOWN!!" ordered Celia.

"You don’t order me around, I order you! And now, as punishment for your disruptive behavior, I will torture your friends, while you are made to watch." Dodrite pressed a button on his throne, and nails popped out of the wall behind the hanging Scouts.

"Ahh!" The Future Amara cried softly.

"GRRRR!" The present Uranus growled. "WORLD SHAKING!!" The blast headed for Dodrite, he simply flicked it away. By freak chance, it hit the archway above which the future scouts hung. The chains broke and they fell to the ground.

"Deep Submerge!!" Present Mercury yelled. Dodrite again hit it straight back at them. The water which sprayed onto their future selves seemed to wake them up. They stood, turned, and angrily started their attacks.

"SILENCE GLAIVE SURPRISE!!"

"DEEP SUBMERGE!!"
"SPACE SWORD BLASTER!!"
"DEAD SCREAM!!"
"MERCURY AQUA EXPLOSION!!"

"MARS FLAME BIRD FLY!!"
"JUPITER MEGABOLT LIGHTNING CRASH!!"
"VENUS LOVE BEAM PARALYZE!!"
All of the attacks hit Dodrite, and he was sent into, and through, a wall. He didn’t get up.

"Alright! Now let’s free Serenity!" Present Michelle said. She ran to the cages and used the mirror to deflect the beam so Serenity could crawl out. She then went to King Endymion’s cage and did the same.

"You can’t defeat us all!!" cried Serenity.

"Why not?" asked Dodrite. Serenity was caught off-guard.

"Uh- Well! We outnumber you, how could we lose?" Serenity stated.

"HAH!! Well, I was outnumbered when I fought the Nitros, but I prevailed, with little damage. Since then I’ve been practicing. Let me show you!" Dodrite vanished and a force from behind blasted them to the ground. Lita looked up and saw Dodrite standing behind where they had been standing.

"Anyone can do that, but can you fight?" asked Raye.

"Yes!" Dodrite put simply. "Ask Sam. Or did you forget what happened to them?"

"I DIDN’T!!!!" Roared a voice from outside. "MECH BREAKDOWN BEAM!!"

The throne exploded and Luek walked from the explosion.

"I ALSO REMEMBER WHAT YOUR FLEET DID TO MY WORLD ALL THOSE MILLENIA AGO!! YOU! WERE RESPONSIBLE FOR MY WIFE’S DEATH AND I’M BACK FOR VENGENCE FINALLY!!" Luek raged.

"You! But- But I killed you! How?" Dodrite stammered.

"I AM FOREVER DODRITE!! I AM INFINITLY OLDER THAN YOU, AND I WILL NOT BE DEFEATED BY YOU!! I AM FOREVER!! BUT YOU’RE NOT!!!" Luek charged.

"Mech Buzzsaw Disc!!" Luek shot the brown disc at Dodrite, who created a black sword and batted it back. Luek jumped, and reached Dodrite.

"SEE THIS SWORD LUEK?!?!! THIS IS THE SAME SWORD THAT SENT NITRO VENUS’S HEAD FLYING INTO MY WALL! THE SAME SWORD THAT KILLED YOUR DEAR NICOLE!! AND IT WILL BE THE SAME SWORD THAT KILLS YOU AGAIN!!" Dodrite announced. He lunged at Luek.

"BLACKARD!!" Luek cried. "ELEMENTAL AXE! I SUMMON YOU!!" The axe appeared in his hands.

"ELEMENTAL AXE DESTRUCTION-WAVE!!" and the fire arc headed for Dodrite again.

"NEGAVERSE, COMBINED POWERS!!" Dodrite began.

"Luek watch out!" Warned Serenity. Lita took a more direct aproach.

"JUPITER THUNDER. CRASH!!" and the lightning hit Dodrite. The flame arc hit seconds after.

"HA! Dodrite was knocked to the ground by an old, old, old, old, old man. How do you feel Dodrite? Do you like my latest descendants body?" Luek boasted.

"It looks good on you!" Dodrite said dangerously. "Hows about I display it’s heart to my minions when I beat you? NEGAVERSE, COMBINED POWERS!! Doomsday beams!!" Luek rose his axe and cleaved the beam in half, knocking them away from him.

"Humph! I hope thats not the best you have Dodrite!" Luek said.

"GRRR!" Dodrite raged. He ran at Luek and started the fight. Luek kept blocking the sword, an impressive feat with an axe, but Luek was unable to get in any hits likewise. Luek suddenly vanished but Dodrite put his sword out behind him. Luek rematerialised right onto the blade. The sword was directly through his chest. Luek gasped, and stumbled off the sword, now colored red with his blood.

"LUUUUUUEK!!" Cried out Holly. She got up and ran to him, and Luek collapsed into her arms.

"Not again Luek! NOT AGAIN!! YOU AREN’T LEAVING ME!!" Holly sobbed. She fell to her knees, Luek’s head still cradled in her arms.

"Hey! <ACH!!> This is very familiar Holly!" Luek coughed, smiling. "Deja vu!" Lueks smile faded, the glow in his eyes did likewise, and just like that, Luek was again, dead. His body faded away.

"DODRITE!! PREPARE TO DIE!!" Holly screamed. She picked up the Silence Glaive from where she had dropped it, and she ran to the Negaverse Admiral. She leaped and struck with the Silence Glaive. Dodrite grabbed the glaive and threw it back, Holly too.

"SERENITY!!" called Holly. "Use the Crystal."
The Queen nodded and let loose a blast with the Imperium Crystal. Dodrite deflected it at Holly. Holly ducked and the blast flew out the door. The Sailor Scouts finally roused themselves and the group surged towards Dodrite.

"AHHHHH!" Screamed Dodrite as the Scouts beat at him mercilessly. Dodrite was too crowded to charge up and the Scouts knew it. He tried to yell for the guards, but he was too muffled. He finally managed to knock the scouts away from him.

"ANNOYING SCOUTS!!" Dodrite roared. "NOW YOU WILL SUFFER MY WRATH!!!"

"OH YEAH? MOON HEALING ESCALATION!!" Serenity cried out, and the beam hit Dodrite dead on. He screamed as he was transformed back into a humanoid being.

"Well!" Raye snorted. "Who’da thought that Dodrite was a human." Dodrite rose from the ground and said " Thank you Sailor Scouts. Because of your heroic act, I have been transformed back into my original, Mechian form. My name is Stefan and I..."

"MERCURY ICE-SWORD SHIMMER!!"

"VENUS MULTI-ARROW ATTACK!!"

"JUPITER THUNDER CRASH!!"

"MOON STAFF-SWING!!"

"ARRRGGGHHH!!" Cried out Stefan, as he was annihilated.

"NITRO’S!! WHAT HAVE YOU DONE???" Roared Serenity.

"He has killed too many of our people, us included. He had no regard for our species, so we had no regard for him. Our code required that we exact vengance on those who wrong us. We have done this, we now may leave." Adam explained, then shrugged. "His life was our’s to take."

"You had not right to do that! He was good, couldn’t you see that?" raged Serenity.

"So was Luek, did Dodrite care? He has destroyed our friends and family, why should we let him live, just because he was ‘good’?" Sam argued. "Besides, we are leaving, we have no need to stay here, nor do we care what lasting impression we leave with you. Good day." The Nitros turned and left.

The Sailor Scouts landed back on Earth, after being teleported away from Dodrite before getting a chance to attack.

"DAMNIT!!!" yelled Lita. "I wanted a piece of him!"

"Chances are you’ll get another try" Mina said.

"Probably!"

"Hey you guys, why has all the action down here stopped?" asked Serena. "I mean, there isn’t a live youma down here anywhere, what’s going on?"

"Maybe the Earth’s Forces got them all Serena!" Raye’s voice was dripping with ‘well duh!’.

"Yeah I guess. Hey, the Negaverse will be starting again soon, perhaps we should enjoy this time while we can." Serena suggested.

"Yeah, lets go get some ice cream. Assuming that there’s anywhere left to get any!" Lita suggested.

"YEAH!!" the group cried.

They went in search of an icecream parlour. On the way they saw plenty of trashed buildings, dead soldiers and youma, and pieces of metal that were obviously from ships. The overall scene was depressing. They hooked up with Darien and they did finally find an open ice-cream shop. They purchased their ice-creams and they went to the Temple, where they spoke over what had likely happened next.

"I reckon, Mathew just gave up after we left. You know how fanatical the Starlights were when Fireball died." Mina said.

"Nah, he’s a tough person. My guess is he wiped the floor with Dodrite." Serena enthused.

"No Way!" Mina argued. The two started a fight arguing what had happened. Darien just watched and shook his head.

"Hey guys!" Luek called as he and Holly walked up. "So what happened to the Nitros, did they leave without saying goodbye?"

The Scouts exchanged looks.

"What?" asked Luek. "What happened?"

"Well." Raye began. "They kinda..."

"They died!" Lita put bluntly.

Lueks eyes grew wide, and he looked to have trouble speaking. Finally he spoke.

"Did they die, honorably?" Luek choked.

"Yes. Sam was the first, Ben nearly beat Dodrite but was beaten down, Adam was destroyed and Mathew teleported us off the ship." Lita informed.

"They’re dead then. Mathew wouldn’t have teleported you guys away if he thought they had a chance." Luek said. "Luckily, death is only temporary for the Nitros. The same for you Sailor Scouts too, but not for the same reasons. You guys always have somone save you, or get out of it ingeniously. The Nitros have to rely on gadgets, ‘cept for me though. They just have to grow up from a baby again."

"So you grow from a baby too? Interesting" Serena laughed.

"Yes. That’s the way my ressurection works." Luek said coldly. "So, do you have an ice-cream for us two?" Luek lightened up. The others laughed. As Luek and Holly walked back in to get their ice-creams, a shuttle landed. It bore the Negaverse symbol. Luek and Holly quickly ran out, ice-creams in hand.

"Dodrite!" Luek swore. The hatch on the shuttle hissed open, releasing a quick stream of gas, and Dodrite indeed stepped forth.

"Greetings, where is Nitro Mech?" Dodrite demanded.

"I’m here Dodrite!" Luek spoke up. "MECH ELEMENTAL COIN, POWERON!!"

Luek transformed and summoned the Axe. He held the Axe in his right hand and the ice-cream in his left.

"So you are indeed here. We shall commence the festivities without delay. But first, would you like to finish your confectionery?" Dodrite asked sarcasticaly.

Luek, who had been ready to lunge at Dodrite, froze up.

"Oh yeah!" He looked sheepishly. He finished the ice-cream, wiped off his mouth, and ordered "Guys, get out of here and try and find the Sailor Scouts!" The Scouts took the hint and left.

"So, shall we play?" asked Dodrite.

"Let’s!" Luek replied. He summoned the Elemental Axe, then lunged for Dodrite.

"Die!" The two met in a headon collision. Luek with the Axe, Dodrite with the sword he wielded. Luek struck and struck and struck, continually trying to get at Dodrite. Dodrite blocked with remarkable skill, and neither of them got hit at all. Dodrite jumped, landed behind Luek, and struck with the sword. Luek put his axe over his head and behind him to block the sword, then brought it back in front of him and turned around. Luek struck and Dodrite blocked. Dodrite stepped back, and swung the sword with all his might. He knocked the Elemental Axe away from Luek and it fell back into its subspace pocket. He then knocked Luek to the ground and held the sword above him.

"Die!" Dodrite said simply. The sword plunged towards the Nitro’s chest.

"MARS FLAME SNIPER!!!"

The flame hit Dodrite, and he turned to see the Sailor Scouts, and Tuxedo Mask standing behind him. He turned back to Luek, but he had already scrambled away. He had again the Axe in his hands.

"ELEMENTAL AXE, DESTRUCTION WAVE!!!" Luek cried and released the flames. Dodrite was unmoved.

"SCOUTS!! NOW!!!" Luek called.

"JUPITER MEGABOLT-LIGHTNING CRASH!!!!"
"MERCURY AQUA EXPLOSION!!!"
"MARS FLAME BIRD FLY!!!!"
"VENUS LOVE BEAM PARALYZE!!!!"
"RISING MOON POWERS COLIDE!!!"

All the beams hit Dodrite and he was sent into the ground, creating a large crater. When Dodrite got up, his eyes were raging.

"YOU DARE!!!!" He roared.

"Dodrite!! We will finish this battle elsewhere!!" Luek ordered. "I know of a place, you will follow me!!"

"Very well!" Dodrite said, calming down. "I will follow you to your arena, but all of your delaying games will be wasted. Lead the way!"
Luek spoke to Holly.

"O.k, what happens next will get pretty rough, so I want you to stand by, because there will be explosions, large ones, and only you can defend against them. Goodbye, Holly!" Luek flew up into space, with Dodrite on his tail.

"Oh No!!" Holly exclaimed. "He’s going to go into his final attack form. You guys, I’ll need a lend of your powers, because there will be an explosion that will rock the planet. Just help."
"O.k!" Serena said.

An explosion occured above the planet.

"It’s begun. Silence Wall!!"

Luek reached the spot he’d been looking for, the spot ten kilometers from Earth. ‘Far enough away to avoid most of the damage’ He thought.

"Are we there yet?" Dodrite asked sarcastically.

"Yes, we are. MECH BREAKDOWN BEAM!!!"

Dodrite easily dodged the attack, and sent back his own.

"NEGAVERSE, COMBINED POWERS!!! DOOMSDAY BEAMS!!!"

Luek jumped the attack and flew at Dodrite. He swung the Axe in an arc that would have removed Dodrite’s head, had he not moved. Dodrite then swung his sword and it made contact with the Axe. For some odd reason, Luek was thinking about Goku’s attack, the Kahmehamehah!

"MECH TECHNOLOGICAL RIFT!!" Luek cried, and the attack Dodrite sent was blocked.

"NEGAVERSE, COMBINED POWERS!!! DOOMSDAY PUNCH!!!" Dodrite screamed, and attacked. Luek sidestepped the attack, then swung the Axe. Dodrite’s hand floated away.

"ARRRGGGGHHHHH!!!!!" Dodrite screamed, clutching the stub where his hand had been.

"MECH BUZZSAW DISC!!!" And sent Dodrite flying. He stopped himself and readied for another attack.

"YOU DARE!!!! NOW YOU WILL FEEL MY TRUE POWER!!!"
Dodrite raged.

"NEGAVERSE CRYSTAL POWER, TRANSFORM!!!" He cried. He was surrounded by black energy, and soon, his transformation was complete. He was now 7’2 feet large, and was dressed in black armour, spikes at the elbows, shoulders, knees, all around the head and on his boots. His sword was the size of Luek and Dodrite had no trouble maintaining control on it.

"SHIT!! Time for my last resort. BESERKER!!!!" Luek screamed. The Beserker spikes grew and ripped out of the Nitro uniform he wore. The tail burst out of his clothes, and swung. His eyes were bright fluro pink and his hair lit. The mottled silver color, like somone had beated a silver platter with a greasy hammer, came to his skin as the last part of his transformation. He was now both Nitro and Beserker.

"LET’S ROCK!!!" Luek cried out.

"Yes, let’s do. NEGAVERSE, COMBINED POWERS!! REAPER ROUNDHOUSE KICK!!" Luek dodged, and by now he was so fast that Dodrite only saw a blur when he moved. Luek moved behind Dodrite, and in the space of three seconds, delivered twenty punches to Dodrite’s back. Dodrite flew through space, then he was back again. Laughing.

"IS THAT THE BEST YOU CAN DO??!?!!" Dodrite laughed.

"No!! MECH EVERDEATH!!!!" The ball left his fingers, and smahed into Dodrite, who flew until he could not be seen.

"I did it!" Luek panted, and rested for a little.

"No You Didn’t!!" Dodrite told him from behind. "DOOMSDAY PUNCH!!"

The punch barely missed Luek, and he vanished. He re-appeared behind Dodrite and said "We end this now." He grabbed Dodrite.

"MECH KAMIKAZE!!!" Luek cried. Light shone out of Luek and his body detonated. Down on Earth, the explosion was really testing the Silence wall.

"We need more power!!" Holly ordered.

"We’re trying!" Lita grunted.

The explosion kept pushing the Silence wall towards Earth, but suddenly the explosion abated. The Silence wall dissapated. A small comet crashed into the planet nearby. They went to investigate, and didn’t see the other one hit behind them. They saw that it was Luek, clinging to life.

"Ho<ACH!!> Holly!" He sobbed.

"Yes, Luek." Holly said. She knew that he had only seconds to live.

"Will. . . You. . . Wait. . . For me?" Luek asked.

"Yes, I will. I promise!" Holly swore. Luek smiled weakly, and gasped.

"I’ll. . . Miss. . . You!" Luek smiled again, closed his eyes, and he vanished.

"I will too!" Holly said.

"HAH!! SUCH A KODAK MOMENT!!" A voice came from behind.

They turned and saw Dodrite, burnt and weakened. He was missing a hand and had trouble standing.

"HOW DARE YOU DO THIS" Screamed Holly.

"IT WAS EASY!!" Dodrite laughed.

"Here is an attack Luek taught me, I hope you enjoy it Dodrite!!" Holly screamed, and started channeling the power of the universe towards her.

"CRUSHING!!! SILENCE!! OVERWHELM!!!!" Holly cast. A sphere of Silence surrounded Dodrite. He looked around and screamed. Holly started to close her open fist and the the sphere closed tighter too. Eventually there was no space left for Dodrite to cramp into, but still Holly closed the sphere. In the end, Holly could close her fist no more and she opened it. All that was left of Dodrite was a black crystal.

"Sailor Moon, Heal that crystal!" Holly told.

"MOON HEALING ESCALATION!!" And the crystal turned gold.

Holly went and picked it up, then gave it to Serena.

"What is this?" Asked Serena.

"This, is the Gold Imperium Crystal. You should remember it. It was given to you as a gift on your 12th birthday by your grandmother. It contains the power of eternity in it. Use it wisely, I must now sleep. Good day.

In the future everything started to dissolve. When it was done, they were back where they had entered, and there was no black in sight. The outers pondered this, then were transported back to the present. Right where they had left, which was almost on top of the Inners. Celia saw Holly walking off, and then noticed where she was.

"Gah!" Michelle cried reflexively.

"AH!! Where did you guys come from?" asked Mina.

"BUH! Oh, we just came back from the future. We went there when we got surrounded. It was freaky. A guy called Dodrite was king and he’d trapped all the Scouts. We fought him and then Luek came up and got killed, Sailor Moon healed him and he was really a guy called Stefan. We spoke to him but the Nitro’s came and destroyed him in the name of revenge. Then everything got all funny and then we were back here!" Amara explained.

"Well, that would have happened because Dodrite was just killed by Holly, and now she’s tired. I think she just wants some time alone, Luek just died, and she used this megacool move on him. Now Serena has the Gold Imperium Crystal back." Mina explained.

"Oh. Well, since Dodrite’s power is no longer availible to keep his ships moving, they are useless. They needed Dodrite’s power to fight, but he’s dead now." As if responding to Pluto, Negaverse ships all exploded in the sky waking a beautiful fireworks display. The Scouts sat down and watched.

"Beautiful!" Lita said.

Holly got home and walked inside. She had to plan Luek’s Funeral, despite the fact he would live again. She detransformed and got her backpack. She then went over to Luek’s apartment and got his Teleport thingy. She rallied the Sailor Scouts and they transported to Mech, where the funeral was to take place. They went to a small beach, which had been the only souce of water while the rest of it had ben acid. Those days were past now but this was where he would be pushed away. Holly laid the Axe on a small boat covered with funeral grass and pink flowers. She had also gone to the trouble of getting his favorite gem, the Starfire gem and placing it on the boat, where it was visible. The priest spoke.

"Although he will be missed, we must refuse to succumb to a mire of sorrow; memories of the great times shared will forever remain a part of our existance. We shall return to the light of freedom to seek out destinies manifestation of our invisioned desire. That is the way he would have wanted it. Holly, will you do the honors, and push the boat into the water?"
Holly nodded and walked to the boat. Everyone was dressed in their best. Serena in her recreation of the dress she wore as the Moon Princess. Holly, Amara and Michelle pushed the heavy boat into the water and it floated towards the sunrise. Above them, on the cliffside, an archer fired the burning arrow at the boat. It lit and the boat burnt towards it’s final destination.

"A new beginning starts with forgetting the troubles of the past and moving headward into the limitless possibilities of the future. We must always endevor to accomplish all our hopes and dreams because each one of us is given one opportunity to sieze our potential." The priest concluded the ceremony, and respectfully walked away, as did all those no longer needed. The Scouts remained. Holly was tearful.

"Do not fret, Holly dear, for you know that Luek will return!" Michelle comforted.

"I am not sad, I’m happy. Didn’t you notice?" asked Holly. In her arms, cradled up to her chest, was a small infant wrapped in a blanket, suckling on Holly’s breast.

"That’s Luek, isn’t it?" asked Amara.

"Yes, it is." Holly replied.

"Then you’ll have a lot to learn about being a mother. It isn’t easy." Michelle informed.

"I didn’t think so." groaned Holly. "He is a bit restless, but he will calm down soon, I hope."

"I don’t like your chances!" smiled Amara, when Luek started crying. "I hope you brought diapers along for the ride!"

Holly laughed, and the others laughed with her. They then sat down, and watched the sunrise.
