This view encompasses the Gatwick Airport and air-space. When painting this, the Concorde disaster occurred. I didn`t put the Concorde in the painting as someone suggested.

This painting was started off with the sky and whole distance (from different viewpoints) covering the top 2 thirds towards the centre of the board. I used process cyan, white and a touch of deep violet.

Then the trees in the mid ground were brushed in, leaving a gap for the church. A transparent touch of complementary process magenta brought out the shadows.
