When painting on Reigate Hill, spring 2002 I found an oval pebble split in two (probably by a lorry) on Fort Lane. I saw the 2 halves as eyes. As at that time the verges of Fort lane were being used as a landfill site, it didnt take long to find the rest of the owl. |
