The Edmonton Oilers win their 2nd EHL Cup by taking out the New Jersey Devils 4 games to 2...Mike Jefferson was the hero after scoring the game winning goal in the 3rd period. It was Jefferson's first and only shot on net all night...Sean Burke was nails in net, stopping 24 of 25 Devils shots, and winning the game's 1st Star...Edmonton controlled periods 2 and 3, outshooting New Jersey 27-15 in that span...Veteran defenseman Rob Blake pitches in with a goal and an assist...LW Jussi Jokinen walks away with the Conn Smythe Trophy, finishing with a team leading 20 points in the playoffs.
Game FIVE:
Edmonton comes out firing on all clyanders, outshooting the Devils 27-14 in the first 2 periods, and taking a commanding 5-2 lead...Jiri Hudler shined with 2 goals and an assist, including 7 shots on goal. Hudler now has 10 playoff goals...Tom Poti also added a goal and two assists...Patrick Roy was pulled in the 2nd period after allowing 5 goals on 23 shots...Oilers look to win 2nd EHL Cup tomorrow night at home.
Game FOUR:
Oilers battle back in crucial Game FOUR to even series a 2 - 2...Trailing 1-0 after 1 period, the Oilers Chris Osgood slammed the door, and allowed his team to battle back and win the game. Osgood ended up stopping 27 of 28 Devils shots for the games 1st Star....Jussi Jokinen scored the game winner in the 3rd period, his 7th of the playoffs...Game FIVE tomorrow night!
Game THREE:
Patrick Roy stops all 23 Oilers shots for shutout, improving his playoff record to 13-3...Sergei Brylin continues to lead the Devils offense with his 11th goal...Vadim Alexandrei shines with a goal (7th) and 6 hits...New Jersey outshoots Edmonton 31-23, including 15-7 in the 1st period...Oilers face crucial game FOUR tomorrow night.
Game TWO:
Down 2-1 with 6 minutes remaining in the 3rd period, and in danger of falling behind 0-2 to New Jersey, the Edmonton Oilers scored two goals in the next 2 1/2 minutes, and held on to win the game and even the series 1-1..Tom Poti won the games 1st Star with a goal and an assist. The goal being the game tying goal...Christian Berglund scores the game winning goal...Crucial Game THREE tomorrow night in Edmonton.
Game ONE:
The New Jersey Devils continue to roll with an impressive 7-1 Game ONE victory...Sergei Brylin extends his great playoff performance with a goal and 2 assists, winning the games 1st Star...The Devils controlled the game throughout, and never gave the Oilers a chance to compete...Tuomas Pihlman scored back to back goals in the 2nd period...Patrick Roy was up to the task again, stopping 20 of 21 shots, and improving his playoff record to 12-2.

Game FOUR:
New Jersey suprisingly sweeps the Philadelphia Flyers and advance to the EHL Cup Finals for the first time...Patrick Roy stopped 25 of 27 shots for the win, and improved his playoff record to 11-2-0, making him a legit Conn Smythe Award threat... Josef Melichar scored the game winner mid-way through the 3rd period...After an impressive playoff run, the Flyers now enter their offseason.
Game THREE:
Devils take huge 3-0 series lead with 5-3 win...New Jersey outshoots Flyers 30-18...Sergei Brylin wins games 1st Star with a goal, +2, 8 shots and 5 hits...Jose Theodore pulled after allowing 5 goals on 22 shots...Flyers face elimination tomorrow night.
Game TWO:
New Jersey takes it to the Flyers in the 1st period with 4 unanswered
g oals...Patrick Roy has a solid game for the win, improves his playoff record to 9-2-0...Flyers make game interesting with 3 straight goals to cut it to a 1 goal game, but it wasn't enough....

Game ONE:
New Jersey's Ben Knopp scores two goals in key Game ONE victory...Veteran John LeClair plays a key role with a goal and an assist...Devils outshoot the Flyers 36-28, including 11-4 in the 1st period...

Game FIVE:
Edmonton finishes off the Winnipeg Jets in 5 games...Martin Grenier was a force on the ice, finishing with a goal, an assist, +2, 10 PIM, 6 shots, he beat up Jim Gilmore, and was ejected for the 2nd consecutive game...Edmonton advances to the EHL Cup Finals for the 2nd time in team history. Winnipeg ends what was a stellar postseason.
Game FOUR:
Sean Burke did it again, stopping 24 of 25 Winnipeg shots, and winning the games 1st Star...Sami Kapanen keyed the offense with a goal and an assist...The game featured some fights, including Scott Hartnell and Martin Grenier going at it twice with each other. Both were ejected for their efforts...
Game THREE:
Martin Grenier scores 2 goals in key victory for the Oilers...Jussi Jokinen pinches in with a goal and an assist... Sean Burke plays stellar game with 26 saves on 28 shots...Winnipeg faces key game tomorrow night.
Game TWO:
Winnipeg dominates crucial Game TWO to even series...Scott Hartnell continues his great playoff run with a goal and an assist...Nikolai Zherdev scores goal #7 of the playoffs...After a strong Game ONE, Chris Osgood was pulled after allowing 5 goals on 19 shots...
