Bugs in Synnote

 Fixes or Enhancements for
Henshoo 1.22.13.26 as of June 28, 2003
    Bugs detected, fixed or to be fixed


  • Crippled capitalization : The capitalization of Henshoo was foolish enough to stun some sensitive users. It did its work like the following:
    "I'D Like Netscape'S Cache System Be Upgraded Soon"

    The above should have been the following:
    "I'd Like Netscape's Cache System Be Upgraded Soon"

  • IFRAME : It inserts a FORM element rather than what it should do.

  • Spelling errors : Some spelling errors here and there have been addressed :
    "Veiw with Henshoo"
    "shrtcut"
    "cneter"
    "<BIG><BIG>"

  • Awful Access Violation with File Associations : I'm afraid to say my last statement that the file association bug had been completely removed proved not to be true.

    When the user clicked the 'Apply' or the 'OK' button, the scary 'Access Violation' message still popped up from nowhere, so to speak. It's been a die-hard bug for quite a time.

    The next version won't cause this.

  • One-click Cliptext-insertion : It was always set on ignoring users' choice.

  • Anchor Generator : the 'onclick=' attribute was not rendered when a portion of text was selected.

     


    ENHANCEMENTS




  • Misc. :
    • Prepared more room for file association.
    • The clip item edit module has become slightly better and stabler.




    NOT SUPPORTED

  • RTF : the embedded graphics cannot be viewed with Henshoo. I'm not currently thinking about implementing the feature because it is going too far for a simple text editor. Anyway, I would think more about it later.

Users are highly recommended to use Henshoo version 1.22.13 for better performance, convenience and reliability.

Synnote 1.0.1.1 as of May 26, 2002
  • Copy All(bug-fix): A strange extra character was attached to what was copied.

  • Code Completion (Ctrl + J)

  • Syntax Filters : All the syntax filters of Synnote can be adjusted by the user.
  • Character case manipulation available: Upper-case, Lower-case, Capitalize, Invert.
  • Bookmarks: Now the user can set up to 10 Bookmarks and move to those.
  • Added more options to syntax scheme and language, keyword descriptions has become more discriptive than before.
