Jonathan didn't want to be part of New Kids On The Block when they released their last album. But for legal reasons (the group couldn´t follow using the name without him) he decided keep on with NKOTB. But we didn’t know much about this in that moment. Jonathan didn't appear in most of the shows and records signatures from Face The Music promotion. They gave some different excuses: that he had his back hurted because of a fall from a horse, that he had stomach problems, that he had a leg hurted... The other guys made evident that they were lying deliberately because they didn't want to follow with the farce. However Jonathan traveled with them in all the journeys, and sometimes he was with the rest of the group on stage and followed always attending the fans.

When NKOTB broke up Jon decided to disappear completely of the public world. Since then to a short time ago he had nothing to do with the show bussyness. Just he appeared in public acts supporting his friends from the group, specially his brother projets (in some of his shows); but he also came to Joe McIntyre Barking Sharks´play and some of his concerts too.

Jonathan surprised everybody making an interview to the American magazine People. In this one were included some photos from inside his house. But without a doubt he still surprised us more when he went, next to his brother Jordan, to Oprah´s show. There he admitted that time he was with New Kids he didn´t feel O.K. because he had panic attacks; and it was in Spain where he realized that this live wasn´t what he wanted.

Jonathan constructed a house next to the ones of his mother and his sister Sharon in Essex, a town of Massachussetts not very faraway from Boston but with very difficult access. Probably thinking in don´t have so much fans visits. At the beginning of 98 there where rumours that he had moved and during more than one year nobody saw him neither was known anything about him ‘till summer 99. Some fans discovered he was still living in the same house.

During all this time the only work we know he has done is for Real Estate company. He collaborated eventually with them building.

Jonathan has participated in some TV shows during the last years about New Kids On The Block. The first one was E! True Story. And the second one was VH1’s Bands Reunited where they tried to join the five guys again. It didn’t work but Jonathan had said yes to reunite NKOTB again.

During last times we've been able to see Jonathan in public appearances with Jordan at shows and promos and with his good friend Deborah Gibson.

Now he's back to the bussiness with NKOTB reunion.
