Our Poultry Show
The day dawned a little damp and foggy, but as the daylight hour came it began to clear up. Our Show numbers were down a little, but not a lot. (Thank you Katrina.)
I thought maybe gas prices would hold people back more, but the real enthusiast did not seem to mind. Thank goodness prices are starting to drop some. Ralph Beamer judged our Show this year. Ralph commented to us about the quality of birds and that it was nice to see the large turnout of Juniors.
I would like to extend a thank you to everyone who helped out with the Show in any way at all (set up, raffle table, clean up, etc.). Special thanks to Ralph Beamer for judging the Show, Betty Perry and Rachel Hunter who clerked for Ralph, and Melvina Reid who did the Junior Showmanship judging. The winners of the Junior Showmanship were: Novice 1st Place Anthony Wynn, Novice 2nd Place Colin Cota; Intermediate 1st Place Leah Watkins, Intermediate 2nd Place Jared Bramer; Advance 1st Place Hannah Watkins, Advance 2nd Place Lucas Pettit.
