Make-Believe

Two little girls in trailing dresses,

Hair coiled back in lustrous tresses,

Spike heels clicking down the walk,

Are busy making " grown-up " talk.

With flowered hats and smiling faces,

They flaunt their girlish charms and graces.

Wondering eyes light up and shine;

In make-believe, they dance and dine.

Tired from their play, two little misses

Come to me for good-night kisses,

Cuddle up within my arms,

And woo me with their girlish charms.
